I’m actually in line writing this. It’s bad enough that there systems are down and they can’t take credit cards on a super busy day with over 6 new games coming out. That isn’t anything they can change. Things break. I get it. The issue I have is that when the phone is ringing nonstop. There are 5 people on line. And you are on a personal call for over 10 min(mind you while still«trying to work»). Put the phone down and do yea job. Call them back. If it’s that important. Have someone cover you. Between parking being HORRIBLE in this area and honestly the people who work here now. I’m going to start going to Georgetowns game stop.

Of course we all think turning in games and consoles at GameStop can be a hassle but this location was pretty cool. The staff was very patient and professional with us

As much as I love games and Gamestop as a whole, it is a rip-off. I recently sold around 25 games to Gamestop, some that are fairly new, and barely got my money’s worth. I only established to receive $ 21 for the 25 that I sold. Some games that I sold were bought of me for around $ 1. You can find the same exact game in the store for a ton more! The $ 1 game that I sold can be found at the store with a $ 25 price tag. They basically make $ 24 for ripping you off. That is very unfair in my opinion. I also found myself in a sticky situation the last time I went in the store. I asked the person behind the money counter if I can receive change for a $ 20 bill, and he replied with attitude: «You have to buy something in order for me to open it». I found that to be rude because the guy knew me and he was the same exact guy who I sold the 25 games to which they probably made a fortune off. The last time I checked you don’t necessarily need to buy something to open a cash register. It is just a way of making you spend your money even more! Honestly, there is no sort of customer satisfaction that I received from Gamestop and their environment. I recommend visiting another store like Best-Buy for games if you want to avoid being ripped off as well as receiving attitude.

Gamestop seems to be a dying breed as the next-gen gaming revolution«might» not let you play used games. Like a captain going down with the ship, so follows the crew. Me — May i have Mass Effect 3? Gamestop Employee — ok, GSE — Do you have a players club reward card Me — No, I’m ok thanks GSE — Why not? it’s free and with this purchase you can get something like a USB cable or controller or something Me — I’m fine, i have plenty of USB cables GSE — *disgruntled look* Geez, people always want free stuff but don’t’ want to do anything for it… Me — Don’t be mad GSE — *mumble mumble* I’m not sure what Gamestop teaches their employees but no means no, don’t’ give me a guilt trip you snot nose geek twilight edwardjacob loving fool.

This is by far my favorite out of all the GameStops. The staff is friendly and they do their best despite being extremely overwhelmed especially when big titles are released. They have a large selection of used games which I like. Like every other GameStop though, finding a new copy of something that has NOT been gutted is nearly impossible. Just make sure to check every single disc for thumbs prints or scratches. The Powerup Rewards program is actually worth doing only if you buy and trade in games often otherwise you won’t miss out on anything if you skip it.

I used to go to this game store before the EB Games opened right across the street from this one. I thought it was a bit redundant but that’s how their headquarters decided on it. This was a tiny store where I have bought numerous video games for my consoles as a teenager. There used to be this flirty 23 year old guy who kept hitting on me but he soon moved to work in some corporate company. Cute guy I had to say but too bad he didn’t stay long enough. Other than that, this store really has lost lots of its business when the EB Games across the street who was twice it’s size with twice amount of games opened up.

I really resent feeding munimeters in order to browse for game titles, but I often end up doing just that because this Gamestop location in the busy shopping district is pretty good one. I like the manager and most of the other staff, who are extremely friendly, helpful, and quicker at processing customer purchases than at other Gamestops. They’re not all permanently glued to the cash registers either… occasionally you find a floater or someone on their way to/from the back room who can help you on the sales floor. It helps to go early before the schoolkids get there.

I purchased many of my PC games here. Even though they only have a small section on a wall for PC games, If you want a game really bad, they can order one for you. And they don’t charge you for that order. You just have to leave a deposit down to insure the special order. Its a pretty cool place. Sometimes employees are annoying and be rude, but its rare. They have All kinds of games there for almost all platforms. and if you want a list of games to be released soon. Just ask and they will print one out for ya. You can even sell your old games to them, as long as its in good condition. Then use that store credit to buy other games. cool place to have a little fun and burn some time.
