Gamestop

Really nice people who work there. And I called first to see if they had what I was looking for and they did. The guy on the phone was helpful and when I arrived at the store he had everything and was ready to go. Not a high selection but if they doth have what you are looking for they will help you to get what you need. Ill definitely be coming back to this GameStop in the future.

This store is hit or miss. I usually call first to see if they have what I want before I go. Like every other GameStop though, Finding a new copy of something that has NOT been gutted is nearly impossible. Just make sure to check every single disc for thumbs prints or scratches. The Powerup Rewards program is actually worth doing only if you buy and trade in games often otherwise you won’t miss out on anything if you skip it.
The staff is sometimes really nice, but lately I’ve seen this Russian guy who kept trying to force me to pre-​order something. I understand they are required to ask repeatedly but he was just shy of harassment. When I was looking for EDF: Insect Armageddon he went to look on the computer because he truly believed the game I was asking for was not released yet. He continued to look while asking a friend if he had heard of it and whether or not it has been released. I told them to search under the name EDF and after about 20 minutes he found it and told me oh yeah you were right. I don’t know if the attitude was because I am a female and they assume all females belong in the kitchen but I know what I’m talking about when it comes to games. Trust me you don’t want me in the kitchen unless you want food poisoning. I’m better off showing these GameStop employees that I know more about the gaming community then they do.

The Kings Plaza Gamestop (yes, they’ve reduced to a single store) is a perfectly adequate location as compared with other ones. Yes, it’s busy and there is always a moderate to long line at the register. No, there’s no sales staff to help you except at those registers. No, I wouldn’t go to the Plaza just for this store but while I’m there for other reasons it’s a good one to stop into for their decent selection and friendly service.

Do you like Gamestop? If so then run… don’t walk… to Kings Plaza in Brooklyn, because this mall offers 3 of them. Yes 3 seperate Gamestops in one location… why? Eh, why is the usual word I come up with when I usually talk about Kings Plaza. Why is it stuck in the 80s? Why can’t you buy a dvd or cd here without going to the 2^nd floor of Sears? and why do I keep coming back?
So check out any of them… you will get the usual service from a drooling teenager, that is more concerned with talking to his co worker about the new GTA than worrying about customer service.
When I did check one of the triad of Gamestops before Christmas 07, I was treated like an annoying older brother bothering his geeky pimple faced younger brother. It has a few used games for sale and does buy old games as well.
I give it the «A-​OK» rating, because all 3 of them (yes I still can’t believe a mall has 3 of the same store) offer what every other Gamestop does and that’s all your video game needs.
