Only been here twice and that was enough times for me! I came in once for my mani/pedi, it lasted for almost two weeks and they have decent color nail polishes. I usually go to the city to get my eyebrows threaded, but I guess being lazy costed the price. I went in one day to get my eyebrows waxed and not only did she made my eyebrows thinner, she also messed up the shape! There was also no more arch. Took me so long to grow them back after that day!

I haven’t written a review in a while and I am ashamed to write one for this place because that would mean I have to admit to what I just did. I really needed a bikini wax and was running out of time, this place was very close to my house. I walked in and knew right away it was a mistake, it was orange and dirty decorated with furniture they probably found on the street. I asked how much a bikini wax would be and before I knew it I was lead into a back room by a hustling thin asian woman. She closed the door to this small black brown-orange room with a little table with a dirty striped pillow and a plastic mat. I don’t know if she washed her hands and that really really scares me. It hurt more than a bikini wax should ever hurt, she was incompetent and the whole place was incredibly unsanitary. Why they hell I did that, I don’t know. It was very disgusting, I think im more embarrassed for going there than I am disgusted by this place. It is hell.

Came to get a quick French mani to get out of the rain. The guy, maybe owner, took me as a walk in. He was pretty rough with filing, cuticle trimming, etc. The worst part is my French was done with a thin brush like you do for nail designs, and the white strip is ¾ smaller than it should be. It was $ 11 so whatever, but I wouldn’t recommend this spot because it didn’t seem very sanitary. Kinda felt like 1992 in there or something. One star because it stopped raining and the other because my nails came out okay.

Oh hell no! I asked for a fill set of acrylic tips here, it was $ 5 more than other places in the area. The application of the acrylic was very different than what I am used to, come to find out that they did not give me acrylic at all but UV gel. They lied straight to my face and then gave me something that I did not want. The liquid is applied to the nail without any primer and then the powder is dusted on and them thumped off multiple times. I am used to the nail tech dipping the brush into the liquid and then into the powder to form a gel, then painting the gel on evenly. The outcome was almost the same, but it took about 30 minutes longer. Little did I know this was going to all become a problem. Immediately, the acrylic started separating from my natural nails underneath, which has been causing an excess of moisture build-up. Nothing has come of this yet, like fungus, because I have been keeping the nails extremely clean underneath. But, it does cause worry. I will be trying one of the other salons on the same street that do not lie to your face and not give you the type of nail that you ask for. I went to Wyckoff Nails Design on the block down and they were the correct price, acrylic nail application, and accurate procedure. Avoid this place.

Two words — NAILFUNGUS. I went here because it was convenient and cheap. $ 21 for mani /pedi. I literally texted my husband during the pedicure and said«Never again.» The nail technician seemed to have zero experience even filing nails. They are still all rough and uneven. She was very rough and hurried and every step of the way was unnecessarily painful. But the worst part was that she had icky nail fungus. I did not have the nerve to ask her to stop, but I will never go back there.

This place is great! I got a manicure and a pedicure for only 18 bucks! They offer all kinds of stuff like waxing and massage which I haven’t tried. Totally worth the price. The chairs for the pedicure don’t have electric massage function but maybe that doesn’t bother other people. The only thing that annoyed me was I felt like the woman who helped me was really trying to pressure me to buy other services. No big deal, just. say. no.
