This place is clean and well stocked. It has a gardening section, a paint section, and a great tool selection. If I can be totally honest, I don’t have a serious knowledge (or any knowledge) of hardware store selections but this place seems great.
I went in to get my keys cut and it took virtually no time at all. It cost less than $ 2 and was a very smooth process. You must purchase at least $ 10 worth in order to use a credit card though. So keep that in mind!
The man who helped me was great: efficient, willing to help, and very nice. Overall a really positive experience!

I don’t know what Hardware 1.0 was like, but the upgrade to 2.0 is on point. Came here to copy some keys. Got that done in like 2.0 minutes. Needed a drill. They sell and rent drills here. Purchased a drill in 2.0 minutes. Was in and out in under 5.0 minutes. Friendly service. Have most everything you’d need at a hardware store. 2.2 cute!

This is the closest hardware store to my new house, and it’s just OK, but not WOW. It doesn’t have an enormous selection, but if you’re looking for a basic part you should be fine here. There is room in the shop for more stuff, actually, and maybe they do carry more stuff when the weather gets better. They definitely could spruce up selection and offer more things. I would like to see bulbs and other spring stuff since the time for planting is near and many other hardware shops carry garden type stuff. The staff is nice and it’s generally slow enough to ask for help, which is great if you’re like me and have little knowledge of what parts to get for whatever job you’re doing.

I went in for the first time today for help purchasing screws to hang a coat rack. The gentleman working the floor was very helpful with only my vague project description to go from. I also appreciated how well the stock was organized. I only wish they stayed open past 7 PM during the week. I very much encourage you to support this locally owned shop.

I’m a home improvement newbie, so they could have jacked the prices and pulled my leg on a bunch of stuff that I didn’t need, and I probably wouldn’t have known the difference. I will say what I know: I found everything I needed at fair prices, and received help when I asked for it.

Great friendly people. Just moved and glad I have this in my neighborhood (or really at the unattractive borderland of Atlantic Avenue. But it need not be sexy to be a good hardware store is my motto)
Keys made well. Bought a life saving box fan.
Other reviewer is correct about good music. Good old and rarely heard soul music when I was there.

So pleased to learn that this is Sister’s Hardware — new location is bigger, and they are as friendly, helpful, and well stocked at they ever were on Washington Ave. Thanks Isiah, for all of your help, I’m please to see you guys are still in the neighborhood.

This place has a crazy selection of pretty much everything you could ever need. And since it’s on Atlantic and there is zero bike parking anywhere, the owner had no problem with me rolling my bike in and propping it up against the counter.
Everything I needed in one place! YES.

Awesome, super helpful, very friendly staff. They have a great selection in the store but their online selection is truly massive and amazing. Definitely the best hardware store in the area.

This hardware store has everything. It’s spacious, lots of supplies, and the owner, Bob, will order anything you need if you can’t find it in his store. It’s seemingly in a pretty bad location because of Atlantic St. But it’s actually perfectly positioned to service Prospect Heights, Park Slope, Bed Stuy and Clinton Hill.
This used to be Sister’s Hardward (formerly on Fulton Street and Washington). The owner moved to Atlantic because the landlord wanted to put something else there.

This place is the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Mary. I went in looking for a toilet flapper, and I didn’t know which size I needed… so she let me take home two different ones, not even paying for either.
I’m bummed that they moved to such a bad location, but it’s worth going a little out of the way to get the great service, selection, and prices. Do it!

I was bummed to learn that Sisters had closed down, but psyched to find this newer, larger location (apparently by the same owners?) just a few blocks away!
This is one of those stores that just seems to have everything. It’s pretty big, and you will probably overspend when you start wandering around. I mean, I did. Yes, I needed children’s clothing hangers and a paint roller all in the same visit.
(The $ 10 for $ 20 Unilocal deal made it okay.)

I went to a bunch of different hardware stores to solve a small lighting fixture issue, and these were the only guys to take the time to help figure it out and find the materials. Most definitely recommend.
