I’m the type of person who is nervous in places like M.A.C. because I feel as if I’m bugging the makeup artists so I went to honey to get my lashes done for my birthday. The stylist was super chill and friendly. She explained everything well and it took about 10 minutes(they lasted about 10 days!) I really appreciate the décor and branding, you can tell the owner put a lot of work into this business. Support this black owned business! I’m so here for it! P. s. all of the stylists are gorgeous!

Oh my! Where do I begin? I am a hardworking soon to be married woman. My fiancé also works crazy hours therefore time is limited so makeovers have been something I dreamed of doing to pamper myself but just didn’t have a place to go show it off. Well today I went on a whim. Just to be pampered and see someone’s vision for my face. The young man who did my 35 $ makeover was named Ty. Thank you so much! Such a professional and talented young man. I will be back Ty! Definitely would recommend.

went on sept 1st2015, got their at 6:30pm… experience was awful, no. 1 i asked for short lashes and she confirmed that she was putting short lashes in. when she finished my lashes they was almost touching my brows, when i said to her these are not short she said oh you will get used to them… at this point i have no choice but to leave them i asked her to do my brows she charged me 6.00 to pencil them in… helllooo i can pencil my own brows in… i can see if they were penciled in with a nice arch. not she spent all of 30 seconds on my brows and 4 min on my lashes then said 33,60 i believe… never did she ask me do you like your lashes or brows. toooo busy chatting with her co worker… it was a awfu l experience very unprofessional staff and no customer service skills at all… i will never try them again and i will share with my friends not to go… oooo did i mention that one of my lashes was off 2 days later… and no i didn’t put water on my face… i was not in town to go back… soooo disgusted!!!

I enjoyed my service at Honey. I got the brow sculpting, a brow clean up and quick lashes. Before getting these services I was told it would last up to a week. My brows weren’t the same which I noticed after she was done so she tried to fix it but one was higher than the other. I got these services done on a Friday and by Sunday one of my brows were missing. And one of my lashes was poking me because it was coming off. I really wish it had lasted longer because it looked nice but I don’t think she left the henna on long enough on one brow and maybe not enough glue on another. All together I paid about 50 something since they shaped my brows I could have gotten my regular lash extensions and did my own eyebrows for the length of time that lasted.

I love this place, so I will give you an in-depth review! Lashes last about 7−10days($ 30) if you keep them in good standing. meaning be careful when washing your face and rubbing your eye. also don’t pack on eye make-up if you want to keep them on daily. It will get irritating and the old make-up will look horrible forcing you to want to take the lashes off. Going here is 10000x better than going to the asian nail salons who do lashes individually. My first and last time going to a nail salon for lashes, I experienced my real lashes coming out and weird gaps in my lashes after a couple of days from some individuals falling out… NEVERAGAIN! Honey Cosmetics lashes are done in clusters and they come off(when you want) easily! My eyebrows sometimes look too drag-queenish with some make-up artists(MUA), but after a day and most of the makeup(when they fill it in) wears off it looks amazing. Very celebrity looking! All of the women are always dressed the part, beautifully done make-up and cute clothing! I always judge by the way the stylist, MUA looks themselves, if they cant do their own and they look a mess, I will NOT be getting assistance from them! Feel free to tip, they don’t expect it but I always do because I LOVE their work. I eventually learned how to do my own lashes like they do, in clusters. They do this thing that’s like semi-permanent eyebrow painting, it lasts about 2 weeks I heard, looks a bit too fake, but if your into that then you can try it. They don’t wax or tweeze, which is great! They use small hair clippers like in the barbershop. Pros: — Very friendly service and takes direction well. –Knows how to work with darker skin tones. –Inexpensive. –You can buy the make-up they use on you, like a MAC booth, they have a wide array of colors. All very beautiful, modern and trendy. –Very clean and hygienic. They are always cleaning their make-up tools in front of you and using hand sanitizer. –Sometimes, they have men MUA’s, not sure about recently, but it’s very diverse. The MUA are always on point. Cons: –You may not always get your favorite make-up artist. They are not very good with appointments; its always first come first serve, even if you make an appointment. If you get there on your appt time, and you see a customer in the chair just getting started, you will have to wait! –Oddly, make-up takes awhile to do! So expect long wait times! Especially on the weekend. I always had to wait at least 30mins for service, so go there when you have time. — They have two locations that they work in, so your favorite MUA might be in the Queens location for that week. Try getting their personal number to find out where they are when you want your make-up done. –For some reason they change out MUA’s very frequently, one month I’m getting my make-up done by one lady, in two months, she’s gone :/All the women know what theyre doing, but it isn’t very comforting starting over with someone new. — They close too early! Its the city that never sleeps and they close at like 7pm, 6pm on Sundays!

I went to get my eyebrows done by reccomendation of a lady who was in my hair salon. This place is overrated and I am not convinced if they are good in eye brow shaping. The technician appeared to be a trainee, but I did not judge the book by its cover and proceeded with getting serviced. She pulled out what looked like a hair cut buzzer and did my eyebrows in 5 minutes, granted I am not bushy but can we please take our time? Anyway she applied make-up for over 15 minutes. Rewind … I explained I want a slight arch but brows not too thin, I also emphasized I grew my brows out over a month so I can come there and get a fresh untouched finish. They do NOTHING exclusive let alone for $ 13. No miracles, no wows and not worth a rtn visit. wait … did I tell you once I came home to wash off that annoying paste they put on my brows, there was obvious plucking and finishing needed. W.O.T. waste of time and money! I say try it and see for yourself. They are nothing to talk about …
