Got framing done, a piece from Bali and it was very well done!

I had the pleasure awhile back. A cool place, I enjoyed the experience. Found it to be a nice find in the neighborhood. The art was amazing! And the space was comfortable. Nice size for hosting events.

Dropped off an Oil Painting to be Framed, long story short, two months later they gave it back and could not do it, then, they failed to credit back my credit card and I had to call the bank to reverse the charges and then they did not call Living Social to refund the coupon and I had to take 45 minutes of my time with living social to get a credit, they also failed to respond to living socials calls to verify my refund. Not very professional… They could not frame an oil on canvas, guess they should stick to standard framing and nothing complicated. They had no problem taking my money, not doing the work for over two months and then I had to contact the banks to get the credit back. I knew I should have take the art to someplace more professional in the city vs. a small local place that doesn’t know whtat they are doing.

I’d always peaked inside this place and admired the art when I was passing by but could never catch it open. Imagine the delight when one day on the way to dinner, we saw it open and full of people. And although we walked right into a private reception, the owner, curator, and artist were very gracious and made us feel welcomed. Another huge plus was seeing that the gallery is very involved with We Make Us Better, the fabulous community group featured all over the web for spearheading initiatives to make the area more safe for us all. Great art, great ownership, great community involvement… what more can you ask for? I am a HUGE fan whether I’m only able to peak my head in or spend some time there! You should definitely pay the place a visit.

House of Art takes great pride in preserving the arts and culture of our neighborhood. They sell art and cultural books, and host events for people of all ages. I recently went to an exhibit, where I overheard Richard (one of the gallery’s co-​founders) explaining the significance of abstract art. Such a cool place to be.

What exactly can I say about this place. The gallery owners ensure that everyone has access to art. Moreover, they see their institution as an asset to their community, hence the activities that they tend to host in the area.
I am so happy that this gallery is in the neighborhood. I think I fell in love with the piece called «Good Hair.» Art is supposed to evoke a feeling to its viewer, at least I think so and «Good Hair» did that. I will always remember that piece.
The owners are great at changing the installments and ensure that every time that you drop in you are in store for a new experience. PLease check it out!
