Knowing absolutely nothing about furniture restoration I was left to internet research and social media ratings to place a gamble on who I should work with… I had purchased a vintage Paul McCobb dining set and it needed to be restored with much care.
I am so glad I contacted Mike :)
Mike promptly responded to my email, came to our apartment (free consult) and thoroughly went over the needs of the table and every chair in the set. He explained what materials & approach he would take to restore the pieces — was very reassuring.
Mike is very thorough and you can see he was true to his word by taking all the pieces apart and ensuring every joint was reinforced. We had our table stained darker, our chairs reupholstered and all meticulously restored. it looks beautiful!
Summary: very knowledgeable about furniture pieces, wood types, equipment & finishes that all culminate in a quality finish. Very happy customer. Yay :)

Mike sells the highest quality furniture, in excellent condition, expertly restored when necessary. I have bought several pieces from him and find his prices to be extremely fair. He has a wonderful eye and no nonsense, friendly customer service. He’s an oasis of good taste and great humor in this crazy city.

Very awesome mid century pieces which are hand picked and refurbished in the basement of this guys brownstone. He puts a lot of love into his pieces and it shows in the details.

Seriously, why get interest rate (second rate) furniture when you can buy a piece of history and have it in your home.
