I bought a pair of cute earrings here a while back. The first time I wore them one fell out and I had specifically asked Kaight if this would happen and she had assured me no. I went back to the store multiple times and my messages to her didn’t make it to her, although every time I went the girls working there were very receptive and understanding. I was frustrated at first but eventually Kaight called me on her personal phone and was very apologetic and told me she will contact the manufacturer and replace the lost piece. I’m so glad during my frustrations I didn’t leave a bad review because I was honestly really taken back by how nice she was and I recently received the piece in my mail with a very sweet note from Kaight. I completely misjudged and thought she was disregarding me, but she was very very sweet about it! The store had a lot of unique cute pieces, but I think in the end I would Highly recommend not just because of the merchandise but because of how I was treated in the end. Very satisfied with her efforts. Thank you!

Beautiful store. Most things here are manufactured in the USA or they are sustainable/ethically sourced. The fabrics and leather selection are durable and intended for long term wear. There isn’t a single thing here that I wouldn’t love to own. I have purchased a few things here over the years that I adore and are still mainstays in my wardrobe. I recently purchased a linen jumpsuit and have a hard time not wearing it every day. It’s the most comfortable thing I own and I get so many compliments on it!

A well curated selection of pieces that work for everyday wear & transition really well for after school endeavors. A lot of the lines they carry are really high quality, with excellent fabrics & construction. Every time I go here I find something that delights me! They’ve totally struck the right balance of style, originality & value in a neighborhood that’s becoming flooded with inferior, uninventive chains like Mavi and Brooklyn Industries. In addition to great product, the service is also so incredibly good. Engaging but never pushy, and knowledgeable without being pretentious. Sometimes they even surprise you with a 20% off coupon!

This little store is pretty much THE place to go in NYC for sustainable clothing. The owner Kate is helpful without being overbearing, and she obviously knows her stuff when it comes to eco-friendly clothing. I got a pair of silk pants and she offered free hemming. Score!

I stopped into this little Brooklyn boutique yesterday during a window shopping excursion with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The selection of styles for fall was very nice, and I found not one, but two, pairs of wonderfully crafted eco-friendly jeans for fall each for under $ 100 — a real steal! They were really nice and attentive to me and my friend, and generous enough to give me the Facebook discount even though I couldn’t login for some reason while I was in the shop. I will definitely go back, and recommend it for an enjoyable(and eco-friendly!) shopping experience.

Love Kaight. Thank god their Brooklyn outpost is still open, while they search for a new storefront for their LES shop. What would a girl do without Kaight??? This little shop is full of beautiful treasures just jumping to go home with you. They have a number of local designers, as well as larger brands. The price points aren’t as insane as places like Bird; you could walk away with a dress anywhere from $ 150-$ 500+ but there are more options in the middle-low end of that range. In the spirit of shopping local, I picked up a flowy handmade/hand dyed silk tunic from Makla(Brooklyn designer) that I’m currently obsessed with, and a slate grey cotton belt that just doesn’t look like anything you could find off-the-rack. I agree in part with other people who mentioned the customer service issue. Personally, I like being left alone to sift through the options before being sold to, but I have been completely ignored by a salesgirl as she had a very long conversation with another customer. I didn’t even get a hello. But once I flagged her attention for a fitting room and the other customer left, I had her undivided attention and help. But it wouldn’t have killed her to have taken .5 seconds to greet me when I came in. But on most other occasions, like my last visit to the Orchard St shop, I almost get too much attention. Long chats about sustainability, local goods, etc. so if they’ve missed you at first it’s probably because they’re giving their 100% to another customer and you’ll be next.
