Decided to pop in here for a quick breakfast to test the authenticity. My wife is Honduran so she knows her stuff! The eats: –We each had a baleada with beans and cheese which was okay. The dough itself is not as fluffy as we would have liked and the flavor of the cheese was a bit too pronounced for me. –The chicken tamales were very tasty. That was the highlight of our meal for sure. –The platano frito was solid as well. The avocado was fresh, the eggs had a nice consistency and the platanos were sweet but not overwhelming. The service: –Extremely attentive. No issues here. *if you intend to tip with your credit card, say so. When they run the card, it doesn’t have a line to add an additional too amount. Keep that in mind, or tip in cash

New owners, they were pleasant and nice. I made sure to order over the phone so I wouldnt waste my whole lunch break. I loved the fact that I didnt have to go all the way to knickobocker for a baleada. The baleadas were big and filling. It’s like bigging back in honduras. I ordered fried chicken with maduros(sweet plantains) for my co worker and she said the chicken was good. Not salty and the dressing/sauce they put over it was good. Def will be ordering from here again. The only bad thing was that even though i called and put in my order it still took a little extra time. I figure no bigger next time I’ll try to order a hour earlier. Also if you like tamarind juice try it from here. Its not too sweet but not too bitter. This was naturally not the powder stuff other places use. A little pricey but def hit the spot

Extremely HORRIBLE experience. Food was pricy but below average. Me and 2 Co workers went for lunch as take out. Used our whole lunch break waiting for the food to come, a whole 45 minutes. I asked for beef stew with yuca, got some kind of steak full of tough cartilidge, no stew, no potatoes, carrots, nothing, a think hard steak covered in tomato sauce. I asked for yuca with pickled onions, they said yes, yuca was hard and dry and onions were raw and not pickled. They couldn’t get my Co workers orders right either. I rarely give bad reviews as tastes are different and styles are different and you don’t want to hurt a business. Could not help myself here, so bad, I’m being kind and holding back a lot more. Save your money, save your time.

My favorite restaurant this side of Bushwick! Cheap, delicious food. I’ve had the tacos, pupusas, huevos rancheros, fried tacos, and plantains. They’re all so good. The family that owns it is super nice, so definitely stop in if you’re in the neighborhood.

Some of the best Latin American food I’ve had in New York, for a fantastic price. And great service from a very friendly family!

Don’t ever come here. You might not come out. The food is freaking amazing. The portions are out of this world. The quality of the food is great. My love and I came here to eat and ordered a little too much. We couldn’t finish our meals but we could stop eating. Once we stuffed out faces, we just sat here in aw! Looking at what we had for leftovers like we were crazy. In all seriousness, this place is worth it. If your expecting a huge restaurant and elegant designs well go somewhere else. But if you want quality food and a full belly come on by.

This place is really good! Had a pork, bean & cheese pupusa with a side of plantains and coffee for breakfast today for only $ 6. Everything was tasty and the side of plantains was enormous. Server was super nice as well.

Awesome food at great prices and super nice employees. Had an assortment of papusas — spinach, cheese, chicken — they come with a traditional sort of cole slaw. I also had a baleada, which is a Honduran version of a burrito or quesadilla. So good! I went with a Honduran friend and he loved it. Will definitely be going back. If I lived in Bushwick I would be eating here all the time.
