Laser Light MD

Came here for a laser treatment. The technician, Joan is really nice and friendly, but it’s weird because this place is like a pediatrician’s office/​laser hair removal place.
The laser that was used is like one big hot heated thing that she rapidly runs over and over the desired spot, in no real manner, so you’re not sure what is really getting done. She moves on to the other spot when you say it’s too hot. I was really scared I was going to get something burned off in the process. It’s not as exact as other lasers, like the Cutera. Yes, the hair grew back slower, but I’m not sure I saw the results that I was expecting.

I’ve had 4 treatments now for my bikini line and the results have been fantastic. Barely a hair grows back now — and no more ingrown hairs! I could not be happier with the service at Laser Light MD. The office itself is nothing fancy, but it is clean and comfortable. I have had the same technician every time — Joan — she is so nice and friendly and professional. She is efficient but I have never felt rushed. I was late once but called to let them know before my appointment time that I was running late and they graciously rescheduled me for a bit later and even then did not rush me through my appointment.
This was my first laser treatment — I was nervous about it — but it is not painful. An occassional «pinch», but it is certainly hurts less than waxing!
I don’t live in the neighborhood — but the subway is very close and when I have driven there I have had no problem finding parking.

I went to this location for their laser hair removal which i purchased off groupon for my legs. I like this place– the technician is very friendly but I’ve noticed that the treatments get progressively shorter each time I go. Now, i dont know if this is b/​c im using a groupon or if it’s b/​c she’s rushing me out to get more clients in, but I felt like I saw great results after the first treatment but realized that with the speed she is using, the hair follicles aren’t destroyed completely. Most other laser places do it slowly and hit a certain number of hair follicles in the area which permanently destroys them, but since this technician moves fast, I feel as though the follicles are merely resting and she even said this herself. And I noticed that after the 3^rd treatment, a lot of the hair that I thought had disappeared after the first and 2^nd treatment, had started growing back and I was highly upset. I wanted my legs to be hairless this summer but I’m not sure if that’ll will happen anymore. I’m not going to give up hope though. And if see something otherwise, I will update my review.
Now, I just feel that the technician should stop rushing throughthe treatment, and slow down on the speed at which she moves the laser on the body.

Painless laser, clean professional office, convieniently located 2 short blocks from the Kings Highway train station. Joan is amazing, so sweet, chatting with her makes the appointment fly by.
