This place and the others on the block owned by the same family know how to make good mozzerellas and pastas. Also the meat market on the corner is fairly awesome and great prices on chicken breast.

This is one of 4 stores on one of the best blocks in the world for fine Italian products!
I really don’t know where to start, instead of going into great detail and wasting your time on how great this place is, just go there and bring some money to buy some of the best pasta and fresh mozzarella ever made.
Not getting 5 stars because they are pricey, but the food is top of the line.
They also close at 4pm which doesnt give you a chance t go after a traditional work day.

I’ve never purchased freshly made ravioli from another store in all of NYC that compares to the sheer deliciousness at Lioni. Their pasta products are my absolute fave. Get a ravioli 12-​pack (the rounds, not the squares). Also, they’re known throughout Southern Brooklyn for their out-​of-​this-​world fresh mozzarella (hence the «latticini» in their name), so be sure to pick up some of that as well if you pay a visit. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.
