If you are looking for a true authentic Italian style deli and market this is it for Williamsburg. The Atmosphere: Small, but well situated, this shop is right on the corner of Skillman and Lorimer. They have all the goodies packed in there for which your heart desires. Local legend Peter Pizza was on hand to make recommendations and his guy let me tell you. A good decent human being who has no problem making a recommendation and a connection. A true neighborhood feel with good people all around. The Food: I ordered the meatball sandwich and I have to say I wish I hadn’t been so full from Donuts this morning because I could only pack down half of it and it was phenomenal. Would have liked a little more basil chopped and thrown in but hey… forgettaboutit. The Prosciut di Parm was phenomenal. Some Prosciuts are really salty and or fatty and not that good. This one I ate just straight cold cuts and had to stop myself because it is going into a cold cut platter and there wasn’t gonna be any left. The Cappicola very tasty and not too strong. Lovely. The Soppresata I selected spicy. It hits your mouth tangy and fresh and the spice kicks in a few seconds after and lasts a good couple minutes. Wow. Love it. The Staff: Friendly and authentic these guys were courteous and respectful and still Italian so the gusto and machismo flowed forth without overpowering the mood. Good bunch of people. The Take Away: You can better believe I will be back when I’m in Williamsburg. Great work guys.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Their Italian sandwiches are THE best in NYC. I typically order The Boss because it has a nice spice to it. Their bread is fresh & their ratio of meat to bread perfection. My only complaint I have is that I wish they were open later so I could enjoy for dinner more often!

Best sandwiches, best staff. Very entertaining. I bring everyone here. I also buy their olive oil, coffee bean blend, pastas, ravioli, and vinegar. We have picked up meat for the grill and it was great. I love having this place nearby. I wish they were open later. They deserve more than 5 stars.

Lorimer Market is a place I knew I’d enjoy even before stepping into the shop. If you like Italian sandwiches for under $ 10 a pop, served with a thick Brooklyn accent, then this is the place fuh yew. I am a huge Lioni’s devotee so I love my fresh mozz enough to endure the wait(food slinging shop this place is not. they take their time). I got the UFT(chicken parm) and Nicola(prosciutto, mozz and arugula) and they were both very satisfying. The little shop also offers other Italian deli goods like dry pasta, canned tomatoes, Italian sodas, cold cuts and prepared deli counter food. While I admit to enjoying the hipster offerings of this neighborhood, I am very pleased that an old school spot like Lorimer Market is around. I’m pretty sure they are the type to snicker at you if they catch you Instagramming your food, just to give you an idea of the vibe.

#Nice place to get a Brooklyn Italian sandwich, especially since #Graham Ave Meats is no more. Also really nice people that work there. They once made me a gigantic six-foot sub for a party. They were very #accommodating.

What a perfect, classic old school Brooklyn Italian Deli! I was super bummed when Graham Ave Meats closed down earlier this year but discovered Lorimer Market and couldn’t be happier. The staff here is very friendly and really put their heart into the place. Jerry is the man and made one hell of an Italian sandwich for my boss and I as we visited for the first time. If I lived in Brooklyn, I would definitely be a regular at Lorimer Market. So many sandwiches I would like to try.

Grabbed the«Rat Pack» sandwich(soppresata, capicola, prosciutto, provolone, some kind of greens, sweet red peppers) and it might have been the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. A pretty big sub for $ 8.50, with perfectly balanced flavors. Not overloaded with meat or oil like a lot of Italian subs I’ve had elsewhere. Prepared quickly, I was salivating looking at all the meats in the display at the counter while they made it.

UPDATE: They just started selling dry aged 100% grass fed hormone free steaks and burgers(made in house) from upstate NY. Welcome to the best burger you can find. For me, Better than any lafrieda beef, this is incredible quality pure bred cows from upstate New York and dry aged to perfection before rough grinding one whole beef side into insanely beefy burgers. Get out of here!!! Totally amazing. I could go on forever on why Lorimer Market is the best butcher shop and sandwich joint around, but I’ll save you the time… You need to go for yourself. Some tips: The italian sandwiches here are the best of the best. No sandwich shop in the neighborhood can compete. My fave is the Michelle My Belle, a chicken cutlet /smoked fresh mozzarella /roasted red pepper sandwich pressed on the panini grill. But the rat pack and filomena are classics. bummed because graham meats & deli closed? Well, these guys invented the sandwiches over there and work at Lorimer market. The prepped foods are also always on point. The butcher shop is my go-to in Williamsburg. The fresh spicy Italian sausage is incomparable, it’s a classic that is a rare find even in NYC these days. Their bone-in dry aged ribeyes are beautiful and well priced. At the new school trendy meat shop down the street they can’t even certify the meat is organic but they’ll charge you like it is. Inexcusable. Here, you get beautiful hormone free range meat that is delicious and fairly priced. Lorimer market is the jam — a true throwback to old Brooklyn but catering to both old and new. The best. 5 stars.

I recently had a private party at Harefield Road and had it catered by Lorimer Market. It was delivered on time and it was delicious. I ordered two 6 foot heroes, 1 with chicken cutlets, fresh mootz and roasted peppers and the other with Italian cold cuts. They were both delish, the Chicken was my favorite. I also got the Mac and cheese and a full tray of meatballs. Everyone could not stop eating the meatballs. Only 15 of us but somehow we finished the entire tray of meatballs. Also, the best Mac and cheese I have ever had. This is by far my favorite place in Brooklyn for sandwiches and all Italian specialties. Jerry, the owner, is always so accommodating and super friendly. I have been to Lorimer Market several times and used them for Catering Parties. I have never had a bad experience and look forward to using them again and again.

Fan-friggin-excellent sandwiches at this little deli just north of the Lorimer stop on the Canarsie line. We shared an ample Italian sub — can’t remember the cutesy/dumb name. Meats and cheese(mozz) were fresh, and man, plentiful. Tasty peppers on top. Bread, meh. But a great sandwich, and a great deal for $ 9. The hot specials looked tasty, and we’ll be coming back to try them. It’s also a butcher shop, and we plan to get some fresh sausage. No seats, but McCarren Park is three short blocks north on a nice day. Oh, and friendly service. Home run. Fantastic.

Okay, so everyone else likes this place so I’m guessing this is a once of deal. I picked up a sandwich(the Mickey Bags) from this place the other day on a friend’s recommendation, took 3 bites, and _immediately_yacked it all up. I wasn’t sick before or afterward and nothing like this has ever happened to me before? I felt totally fine afterward. So, seems like my experience is pretty unique(hence 2 stars instead of 1). But I figured I’d let others know that there was _definitely_something up with that sandwich.

Like many local hero addicts, I was losing sleep over the recent loss of Graham Ave Deli. But I decided to be proactive and do what psycho gfs do best. Internet stalking. Which eventually led me to Lorimer Market. I suspected the sandwiches would be comparable due to the use of arugula(don’t come at me with that shredded iceberg) and the common last name of the owners(Virtuoso). Still, I couldn’t let myself hope for anything as perfect as Graham Ave’s Willie’s Special, right? Wrong. The Boss is way better than the last few Willies Specials I’d had before the closing. What’s more is that the entire place is like walking into a bizarro GAD. So effing happy to have a place to reach max sandwich enlightenment again.

I’ve loved sandwiches from lorimer market for years. We recently had them cater our baby shower and I now love them even more. We ordered several giant party subs and some side salads and lasagna and everything was great. Received so many compliments on the food. They also delivered The food exactly on time, and everything was exactly as ordered and ready to serve. The price was very Affordable, I seriously think we would have spent about the same making all the food ourselves and it wouldn’t have been nearly as good, plus a lot more work. I highly recommend using them for catering any party or event.

I am mad at me. I have literally lived across the street from this place for 4 years and only went for the first time this year– WHY!!! I’m still not sure. The sandwiches and salads at this place ROCK. Everything is incredibly fresh and made to order and the service is just spot on. Meatball Sandwich = YES Michelle my Bell = fresh, light and delicious Rat Pack = the perfect italian sub Any of the salads = the greenery is just so perfect and the BACON they add on is just so divinely book Broccoli Rabe = garlicky, fresh and perfect. I personally love broccoli rabe. I’ve taken bites of my friends sandwiches too. I’m not remembering the names, but also so good. I legit crave this place now. The meats are also very affordable and appear fresh. I have not purchased any yet, but i certainly plan to in the near future. Cheers to you Lorimer Market — superb.

Putting«panninis» on a permanent sign wasn’t enough, so they had to add«home of the meatball»…really? The countless things draped over the door were also a bad start and mostly taped or signs over windows yet welcoming w/regulars. That said, a solid Doc.

Awesome sandwiches. Their default lettuce is arugula. Really friendly, great customer service. Best sandwich shop in the area by far. Oh, and great salads, prepared foods, and cuts of beef and sausages. This place rules!

I love these type of Italian deli’s and butchers. This is another great find. Their food is delicious and prepared perfectly, No flaws here! They have the greatest meatballs by far that I’ve tasted. They are the perfect texture, taste, and complimented with fabulous tomato sauce. I can say one thing for sure, These Balls are not Deflated, sorry Brady. Prepared foods are made daily and they use the freshest and only high end ingredients here. You can taste the greatness in every bite. Amazing sandwiches are made here, no skimping on anything, they are fully loaded. The service is next to none, great guys and very friendly. This is the real deal, come on down, you won’t ever be disappointed!

Traditional NY Italian Deli They have hot and cold sandwiches, panini’s, many cuts of meat and cheese, some home cooked meals, and them meatballs. I have tried several of the sandwiches and panini’s here(The Doc, The Rat Pack, UFT Hot Hero) and the meatballs. All of these were great and I keep coming back for more. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. They do get busy so call your order in if you can.

The staff is super nice and the sandwiches are superior. The meat selection is vast. But I think I have a revolutionary idea that would improve the customer experience vastly: Signs. With prices. What’s in that spirally sausage there? Do you have any ribeye? How much is it? Maybe I’ll get that veal if an explanation of its raising and production can assuage my guilty heart. Sure, the guys behind the counter are friendly and patient with the questions, but a lot of that work could be done with signs and prices on the goods.
