I was shopping and they was very racist against me and my husband the way they fallow Mexicans, African Americans are way different then they fallow white people pay attention they don’t fallow them but hold your things take every step with u it was unbelievable but I still purchase something because it was for my baby and I really like it

It is a nice store with a nice selection of items considering the size of the space. Some of the items are overpriced but that is to be expected in a mom and pop store. The women working in the store was pleasant. Good place to go to get a something in a hurry otherwise you would be better off making a purchase on line.

Lulu’s came through for us in a big way. My sweet little girl began showing signs of teething and had been miserable for two days. I wanted to buy her an amber teething necklace and teether ASAP. We were in the neighborhood so I Unilocaled a few places. One place that turned up didn’t open until noon! (It was around 11:30 am at the time). I did not have the patience to wait while my boo was in pain, so we just wandered around in search of a store.
Thank goodness we chanced upon Lulu’s! For whatever strange reason, they did not show up on my Unilocal search.
Anyway, we made a bee line for the teething necklaces and a helpful staff member let us try it on and made sure it was the perfect fit for our girl. The necklace was so pretty and adorable! And the price was good — $ 20. The same, if not less, than what I found on Etsy. I honestly was expecting higher in this neighborhood but was happy it wasn’t. They also let her wear it as we browsed.
This store is like a wonderland of awesome stuff for kids. We got her a Toofeeze teether also. They have the cutest clothes and a plethora of sippy cups, Aden & Anais blankets, and an excellent selection of strollers. If you’re looking for a present, this place definitely has it.
While we were in there someone (owner maybe?) came in with a cute dog, who was so friendly and gentle. This is a great shop all around and we will definitely be back.

I gave 3 stars because while the woman I worked with was knowledgeable, warm and helpful, her boss was a real bully. I felt uncomfortable watching a younger boss undermine the confidence of her older employee with snide asides and a mean-​spirited attitude. I hope this manager or boss can do some soul searching, but in my experience, these bullies are too defensive and closed to ever acknowledge their faults.

I was misquoted a price on a stroller (the actual price when she rang me up was 35% higher than what I was told it would be), and when I said I needed to think about it, the owner laughed in my face. I will never go back.

Customer service is lacking. I do not get a kick out of posting negative reviews. I will leave it at that.

A disgrace to the neighborhood. Horrible service provided by an incompetent sales staff, a selection of toys extremely overpriced for their worth, especially since you can find them at BABY’Rus for way cheaper. I won’t even mention their clothing selection– not a place I would recommend at all…

I’ve been here several times and always received friendly, informative service.
The owner is maybe a bit introverted, but I haven’t seen any evidence of the nastiness that so many of these reviews mention. And there’s a second employee in the shop who really seems to go out of her way to answer questions and offer advice.
Generally, I’m suspicious when a merchant has a bunch of strongly negative reviews that all say the same general thing, coming from Unilocal users with no profile picture and very few other reviews. Did you know that advertising agencies exists that sell fake Unilocal reviews through «realistic» user profiles in packages of 100 or more? Just saying…

This store has great merchandise, but the owner is rude and downright nasty. After spending a few hundred dollars at Lulu, I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere because of the owner’s horrible attitude.

This is my go-​to for cute, unique, cool baby gifts. A bit pricey, but no more so than anywhere else in Park Slope, and good quality. And i will say the gear (strollers, carriers, humidifiers, etc) is reasonably priced. Guess I’d give it two and a half dollar signs if I could. The Brooklyn/​NYC themed onesies are my stock gift for new parents outside the city. The women who work there are really sweet and know their products. The owner has a bit of an edge (not a jerk, just a New Yorker), but she’s super knowledgeable and has great taste. the store is only for birth to 18 months (ish) which is a blessing in those early exhausted days. I’m a fan of this and the rest of the Lulu’s mini empire.

Best place to shop for that new mom

This is a lovely store, but the woman who works there is unpleasant and condescending.
