Mari Ann Laser Care

I’ve been going for laser here for the past few years, different body part at a time. This is the 4^th place I’ve tried and there’s a reason why I keep coming back and why I referred family and friends to this facility. Anna, the laser technician is professional like no other, she is kind and knowledgeable, she will calm you down when the treatment hurts. Laser is not unbearable but it isn’t a pleasant procedure either so Anna’s reassuring words help A LOT! Anna is very meticulous and never misses a hair, she will go over the treated area and will look any missed strays.
Mari Ann, the owner is professional and super accommodating. I have never waited more than 20 minutes and they usually go out of their way to make sure they can squeeze me in. Every single person I referred (I referred 5 people so far) is now a loyal customer/​laser addict. I cannot explain just how much better you feel about yourself when you finish your treatment.
The facility is clean, the equipment is new and the people are wonderful.
I would highly recommend this place to everyone who is skeptical or apprehensive. You will NEVER regret coming here!!!
Stop the pointless shaving and waxing, go do something really nice for yourself!

friendly staff, very welcoming. i got the spider vein treatment through a groupon i purchased. very worth it but it was kinda painful, but not unbearable. the tech made jokes and tried to take your mind off the pain! i thought i might need two different sessions but she took care of all my spiders veins in one shot, but if i ever need the treatment again i would definitely go back

This place doesnt overbook so generally you are seen right away. I did 6 laser hair removal sessions and the hair is 90% gone. I’ve been to a couple of laser places and found this place to be the most painful. Something is wrong with their cooling system, the treatment was excruciating, i had to put on a numbing cream in advance and take a pain reliever beforehand. The women try to be friendly but it felt a little ridiculous. Once I was told that I’m «a woman and should be able to take it.» Pros and cons.

No nonsense laser hair removal.
EFFECTIVE and PAINFUL but this is the only place I’ve found that actually WORKS. I’ve tried three other places in Manhattan, and some of them didn’t even slow my hair growth, let alone remove it permanently!
Prices are decent

Decent, small laser care facility. A couple of things. When I get my confirmation calls for appointments (it’s good I get them, lots do not do this!) they often appear as an «unknown» number. Once or twice there was a 30+ minute wait, but usually it’s in and out, 5 minute wait tops. The hair is pretty much gone from my arm pits now, just a very light, small amount growing in after 5 treatments. One of the women who does the treatments is really sweet. I’d go there again.

I bought a groupon for 6 laser hair removal treatments.
I have visited other laser studios before and this definitely was a good one:
Pros:
— Quite good results after 5 treatments with little remaining hair growth.
— I had the impression they know quite well how to do that
— Overall friendly people
— Never really had to wait and still made time even when i showed up way late for an appointment
Cons:
— It would be nice if laser was aircooled

I made my first appointment with Mari Ann Laser in Brooklyn via Groupon. I’ve had 3 sessions since then for under-​arm hair removal.
These ladies have been friendly and professional from the first day. I have a very low pain tolerance, and of course, laser, as it does everywhere, hurts a little bit. And this was my expectation. But in situations like these, the attitude of the technician working on you makes a world of difference. I’ll only give you one detail: When my technician saw that I was in a bit of pain, she started singing for me. :) So, when you the person cares, it hurts a lot less.
Like I said, this operation is a bit painful everywhere, and Mari Ann is no different. But their attitude, cleanliness, friendliness, and professionalism makes all the difference. I’d recommend this place to everyone.
The only down side for me is the location. This is only because I live on the upper west side in Manhattan, so it takes a while to go. But depending on your location, this might not be a be a big deal for you.

I also learned abou it through Groupon. It was a bit painful — similar to tatoo pain. But when I was done it was perfect. The ladies that work there are very very sweet. I was nervous — getting a brazillian and all — but I must say one of the best decisions ever.

I learned about Mari Ann laser through a Groupon offer. I was a little skeptical at first but took the plunge anyway and I have to say I don’t regret it, I meet Mari during my first appointment this past Sunday and the entire time she made the whole process (ouch!) as comfortable and pleasant as laser sessions can be. It was my first time trying the procedure and she was so nice and knowledgeable, answering all my questions and making me feel at ease.
Also they recently relocated (hence why they were trying to promote the new place on Groupon) and the new location is very cozy, they even have a pantry for clients to go and grab coffee/​snacks themselves.
