Rude. I don’t usually stand outside of restaurants to write reviews but I’m shocked by the lack of service I just experienced. Actually, that is a euphemism for discrimination. Ha. I know I’m not invisible, though I am currently dressed casually. I entered the restaurant and stood behind the counter. Two white women entered behind me and the guy looked past me and spoke to them directly. They had come to pick up an ordered. Regardless of him knowing what they needed already, they hadn’t paid and I was there in the shop first, for a good minute before they came in. Needless to say, I won’t be returning here and I’ll be sharing this experience with everyone I know. This Unilocaler has plenty of equitable, tasty options in the Stuy.

I ordered from here today. I don’t think the food was all that great but the delivery was very timely(contrary to the other reviews that led me to order: P) which is why I gave the extra star. I ordered the lamb shawarma, the spinach & cheese pie & baklava. I couldn’t finish the shawarma. It was almost all spinach with hardly any lamb at all. For the spinach pie, the crust had this bitter after taste that made me want to gag a bit. To be fair, they did say it was a calzone and not the phyllo I expect. The baklava was ok, but a bit too sweet for me so I won’t count that against them since others might like. All in all, I won’t order again bc I didn’t enjoy the food. I ordered through eat streets, by way of Unilocal, and even called the restaurant a few minutes after to make sure they got the order since the other reviews mentioned nightmares with delivery. I got my food in 40 minutes, no problem!

Not only delicious upper-class halal food for a good price, the cooks here are fantastic people. If you’re in need of a satisfying meal but inna bit of a rush, go here! Eat in or take out. Conveniently, it’s right off the Franklin C & Nostrand A Express. Mm!

After seeing some of the unfavorable reviews for this little gem, I figured I should weigh in based on my experiences at Marrakech Door. It took me awhile to give this place a try, but once I did I was thoroughly impressed and have now been back around 5 times in the past few weeks! I’ve had the falafel sandwich and the spinach pies, and I would absolutely recommend ANYONE who loves falafel to give this place a try, they make a mean falafel. In fact one of the best I have had, anywhere. Key selling points: *they roll and bake their pitas on the spot, right in front of you if you come at the right time! *the falafel balls are scooped fresh to order, and then fried in olive oil, again right in front of you. *their tahini and sauces are all made there as well and are absolutely incredible. All of this equates to an epic sandwich that bares a unique flavor that I’ve not noticed anywhere else. It seems like a family owned establishment and you can tell they’re passionate about fresh, homemade ingredients. So the secret sauce at Marrakech Door seems to be LOVE… And that’s not something you can buy pre-made from any food distributor!

Really surprised by the subpar rating of this place, as I walked away with the conviction that this was one of the best Moroccan places I’ve ever tried!(In reading them, looks like the main complaint is about delivery service). Came here with a friend after Brooklyn Book Festival in the area. We were just looking for a quick bite before heading back to NJ, and this unassuming little joint completely exceeded our expectations. We had the individual veggie pitza and merguez platter/plate, which was more than enough to go around. Everything was so fresh and INSANELY good! I’d never had baba ganoush like that either. The pita bread was fluffy and out of the world. It seemed like the owner was serving us, but I wasn’t entirely sure. In any case, he was a big sweetheart and would check in periodically to make sure we were happy with our meal. At the end, he gave us a free dessert of basbousa which was delish and nearly killed us in the best way since we were so stuffed already. Definitely coming back here.

Such good food and an awesome owner. The pita there is light and powdered with flour– so delicious. It empty when I went even though it was a Saturday night which is a shame– totally deserves more customers. I had the liver, soups, and lamb tagine, all well spiced and flavorful. Will be back and already craving it.

Good simple and healthy food. We ordered the Moroccan couscous with lamb and it was very good. We also liked the grape leaves appetizer. There is a nice seating area with table service. The service was good and we were offered free mint tea.

Authentic Moroccan dishes with genuine Moroccan hospitality. They have a range of dishes, but their lamb and chicken shawarmas are my favorite. Prices are kind to the wallet. All dishes are made using olive oil. Great halal option in Clinton Hill. This place doesn’t disappoint.

Horrible experience, please read through. I called to order, then was told to «hold on a second», after 8 minutes I hung up. I called again, then I told the guy that i’v been waiting for 8 mins, he said I’m sorry, hold on a second”, after 5 mins I hung up. I called for the third time, telling the guy that this is not how you treat your customers, he said he was very sorry, and took my order. The delivery man came in 30 mins later. He did not speak a word of English and couldn’t answer any of my order related questions. I ordered a schawarma mix(was ok), a lamb schawarma and two mergez sandwiches. I bite into the mergez, not amazing, but whatever. Two bites in– I bite into a PIECEOFMETAL inside the ground beef. I don’t know how in the world the could get that into it, but I am not surprised. Horrible. For the love of god, stay away.

The falafel sandwich was ok but a little dry(the falafel was kind of old) it is very tasty.

This is place is the epitome of Meh. First off, we ended up ordering from here because I saw lahmacun(proper spelling, btw. this place calls it lambajin… should’ve known then) on the menu. I LOVE lahmacuns, so naturally I was stoked. DONOT order their«lambajin.» This was the most disappointing part of my day, and honestly made the rest of the meal lackluster. This is by no means a traditional lahmacun, or anywhere close to it. Rather, it’s a crappy pizza. The Harira Soup was fine. Nothing special at all. We also ordered the assorted plate from their cold appetizers category. The potatoes were pretty bland, the babaganouj was yummy but nothing amazing, the hummus was was also ok but nothing amazing, the marrakech salad was yummy, and the beet salad was meh. I am a fan of beets, but these did not taste fresh at all. However, the pita bread they gave us was great. Lastly, the lamb shawarma was pretty decent. Probably my favorite from everything, but I don’t know if that says much at this point. Won’t be ordering from here again :-/

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This was the worst, no seriously the worst imitation of Moroccan food I have ever eaten. I ordered lamb tagine I got beef stew. There was no lamb in my dish at all. The delivery man must have gone through a tornado before coming to my front door because the white sauce on the gyro my bf ordered was everywhere. The«pita» bread, if you can call it that was like cardboard. I haven’t eaten beef in over 7 years. You almost got me Marrakech door, but I won’t be getting you… ever again.

The last time I came here I was sick for two days after. That was 6 months ago, and, well, I was willing to say maybe that was just a one time thing. Last night I ordered a chicken kebab sandwich and took it to go. I got to work, unwrapped it and bit in and ACK! the chicken was RAW! After work I stopped by to ask for my money back and they we total jerks about it. I even showed them the raw chicken and the owner said«Oh you should have asked for well-done.» WTF? When I got mad the woman behind the counter started yelling at me and told me to «be nice.» It’s really hard to be nice to a-holes! Anyway, the food was never very good and you’re better off going somewhere else.

I was looking for variety in the Crown Heights area where I work. I am very local-business friendly supporter. What it caught my attention for the first time I walked by Marrakech Door was the food displays on the window and the Moroccan flag(I have a quater Middle Eastern blood). As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the owners. I told them I wanted to eat in so they guided me to the dinning area. Right after picking a seat, the only lady that I saw which I think is the owner’s wife gave me a glass of hot mint tea along the menu. The decoration has brick walls, Moroccan Art and a flat screen where they put the news, music videos or Muslim services, I don’t speak Arabic but just listening to the music that was playing made me feel at home. I wanted something with falafel so I picked the falafel sandwich with the Harira soup. The Harira soup is a combination of lots of beans and seasonings. It’s served with a lemon and a homemade right off the oven pita-(it tasted like pizza crust though). The soup remind me of my mom’s cooking so I was very happy with the flavor. The falafel sandwich had texture, very crunchy and soft at the same time. It seems to be truth that they only cook with olive oil as it says on the menu because the falafel didn’t felt greasy. They make their own spicy sauce which I fell for. If you want more hot mint tea you will get $ 1 added on your check. I asked for water instead and ended paying less than $ 10 on my very first visit which I think it was great for the flavor and service. Couple days later, I went back for the falafel main course that comes with a salad and the Harira soup, I couldn’t resist. For the consecutive time flavor and the spicy sauce won me over. I was very pleased with the price, quick service and the kindness of the owners.

Having been to the city of Marrakesh in Morocco, I can say this is a pretty authentic joint. Complimentary Moroccan mint tea is served to start — a piping hot, robust refreshment that is refilled as many times as you like throughout your meal. The Labana appetizer(cold yogurt dip) was very good; the hot, crispy pita it came with was excellent. You could smell the fresh flour it was made with. Creamy and covered in olive oil and black pepper, the dip was surely a nice starter. For an entrée, I ordered the chicken tangine. My opinion is the same as many other reviewers on this page — it lacked real flavor, bordering on blandness. However, with a dash of salt and some stolen hummus from my dining partner’s dish, it grew quite tasty, especially when hunks of chicken were piled with the peas, carrots, and potatoes. My partner ordered the falafel and at $ 6.75 it was the crowning jewel of the meal. A group of fried falafel balls packed with punchy flavor was accompanied with salad, hummus, and babaganoush — all very fresh and quite good. This is a no-fills hole in the wall quite reminiscent of some joints I frequented in Marrakesh. Authentic paintings and artifacts decorate the walls, while a flat-screen TV plays videos of people playing Moroccan music — on YouTube. Something charming about all of that, if you ask me.

Unexpectedly great. Love the chicken kabob and white fish platter. Delivery time is 30mins or so. They don’t take forever which I like but it could be because I live close. I keep trying to have the baklava but they are always out. The other dessert is good though. The pita bread is warm and soft. The salad is fresh and all the ingredients taste like they just made your food. I usually order from Deniz but glad I tried this spot!

The falafel was delicious. For $ 6.75, you get a crispy pita, rice, tahini, salad, and falafel. It was filling and good. The rice was delicious. My friend got the Chicken Tangine. It looked like baked deliciousness, but needed salt because it lacked flavor. They play Moroccan black and white TV. The service is okay. It’s not really the type of place you go for A-1 service.

Pretty decent food for the most part. The delivery seems to be slow, once being about forty minutes late on top of the initial hour window. However, after finding a small roach in the salad we ordered tonight, we called GrubHub(really, the first number we found in the order) to mention it. They called up MD to let them know, where(according to GrubHub), they called us liars, they were a new restaurant and the food was fine, then hung up. MD then called us up, asked what the problem was, and would send someone over to pick up the offending salad. GrubHub then called back(such drama!) and said they would refund the particular entrée. So, yeah, the food is decent, and one bug shouldn’t ruin the whole thing, but man did they fumble that recovery. I’m giving them two stars, but keep in mind, I’m a liar!

The food is good. really do like the white fish platter. Their customer service is horrible. You will wait forever for delivery. My last and final time ordering: called to check the status of the order after an hour had passed; and was told 3 minutes. After waiting on my stoop for another half hour; I called to cancel. The same woman yells at me and says that she sent my order a long time ago(I live about 10 minutes away). I explained that it never came. She barks back with, you don’t want the order, don’t ever call here again. I told her that I agree. Never, ever again. Another half hour the delivery guy calls to ask me for directions to my place.

I ordered via seamless and patiently waited for my food. About an hour later I called the restaurant to see what the que pasa was. He told me the delivery dude would be there in a few minutes. 30 minutes later as I came to terms with the fact that there was no delivery every coming, I popped a Lean Cuisine in the fridge and settled in for the night. The next day I called Seamless to get my money refunded and they called Marrakech to see what the que pasa was. Process was super quick and all was well. A few hours later I hear a ring at the door and guess who decided to show up? The Marrakech delivery dude. He randomly showed up at 3pm. That’s 15 hours after I placed the order. Def the world’s longest delivery time. Now after all that based on the quality of the food; lamb, salad, and pita, I’m pretty sure that they just reheated my food from the previous night. Yikes!
