good facility but the worst service possible. First unless you know the owners your child gets awful treatment. Second the front desk girls so incompetent that I can’t even begin telling you! We were moving out of state and cancelled my husband’s membership, end up paying one extra month, but now 3 month later we getting harassed for payments. Membership is 120 $ but on top of that you will have to pay for every class you taking 20 $. Facility has a pool but you won’t be able to use it unless it’s 11am-​3pm since they have classes there. Add to that that such big facility can’t even open on time. Supper unprofessional !

Don’t go there? If u sign in u will be suck as fuck. 120per mouth and u can’t cancel it without Doctor parter or moving. wtf is this. If u cancel the payment and than they will keep charge your money also they send a lot of massage, email and phone call. Let u know you suck in the hole

The best Sports Club in Brooklyn!!! You’re truly treated like a celebrity when you come here. The entire staff is pleasant as is the facility. Luxurious and has everything you want in a gym and more: swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball, and an endless list of classes available free to all members.
I absolutely love this gym! Have been a member for two years, and I frequent the spinning classes and «boot camp» class mainly. Spacious, never too crowded, always friendly customer service, very nice changing rooms and showers. This place really has it all.
Highly recommend you join this gym as well.

I absolutely love this facility! It is soooo nice and the staff are so helpful and thorough as well. I have been to lots of gyms and never had one really met all my needs and Matchpoint goes above and beyond!

NO phone service anywhere on the complex, on top of all that the Wi-​fi been out for more than a month. Mind you im paying $ 115 a month for the membership and i can even listen to my pandora.

One word– AWFUL.
I had a groupon that I wanted to use for $ 10 worth of gym visits. When I called in to ask, they said I can either use the gym (cardio or weights) or the swimming pool. Naturally, I was interested in the swimming pool. Upon arriving, I was told I needed to speak with the manager and answer an intake form with personal questions. As my boyfriend and I were filling the form, another couple came in and spoke to the receptionist saying they were interested in possibly signing up. They were given an intake form and asked to wait. The other couple asked to see the top deck which was a food lounge with oversight to the tennis courts and swimming pool. We had been waiting half an hour when the manager asked the receptionist who gave us a funny look. Next thing we knew the manager took the other couple for a tour and left us in the dust.
I’m sure of these things: 1– They don’t welcome the groupons they have online, it’s a gimmick to get you there 2– You have to be Eastern European to be treated like a human being.
Really upset with this establishment because I truly was excited to see the facility however when I entered I wasn’t all that impressed. Their pool is not an Olympic size pool although they have the space for it. The customer service from the receptionist just ranked 0 with me. The ladies at the desk never smile and don’t make you feel welcomed.
Overall this gym on the outside is nice enough to have you curious on the place but not worth the chunk of money you’ll spend for a membership. Retro fitness is just a block away– they are much nicer and cheaper.

If you love to swim. It got worse. Now they only dedicate 2 lanes to members during peak hours. Peak hours have now been extended (as of it wasn’t bad enough already) till 8:30pm. Previously 7:00pm. 2 lanes just isn’t enough. If you like to swim 6am or 9pm at night. You’re golden. Being a father and husband. That’s not usually possible.

MatchPoint Gymnastics is a nightmare. These (OTB) teachers are rude & obnoxious bullies to the little girls and their parents. These snobs don’t know how & should not be work with children. Instructions are in given mostly Russian language. They think it’s Ok to put your child on the side for 15 min of 2 hr lesson that you paid for (as a punishment). They close their eyes the fact that older girl push younger ones around. There is no system in place for when your child wants to use a restroom. So expect your child to be handed off to a total stranger to guide her to and from the bathroom.

Overpriced but worth it –my daughter goes to pro swimming her and yes it is overpriced but it helped her learn styles of swimming she forgot and the lounge is also overpriced but worth it cuz it is natural and the staff are ok the décor if the place is amazing and the lookers are clean but wet all the time they have a pro shop too which is also overpriced —

Clean and beautiful facility. All staff is very polite and attentive, the café food is delicious.
My children attend tennis and swimming classes — the instructors are very nice and professional and the progress and results are truly impressive.

first thing first — this place is expensive. as of July 2015 its $ 80 /​mo for Gym or $ 120 /​mo for gym + pool and both plans require 12 month commitment.
i want to give this place one star, but it would be unfair — because the place is very clean with excellent air conditioning and brand new equipment. another reviewer said Matrix equipment is crap … well let me tell you, most professional bodybuilders workout on rusty 20 year old equipment that’s not half as nice as the «crap» matrix that MatchPoint is equipped with. the gym is small, but makes up for it by being almost empty.
so why 2 stars? simply put — the people in there.
the clients in that place are bad and the staff is worse. everything you read in other reviews about rude staff and obnoxious clients is true. this place is a showcase for the worst mother Russia has to offer in terms of people. now, i’m Russian myself, but the people in this place … to put it simply you couldn’t pay me to share a space with them. Low-​IQ thugs who think they’re all that just because they have more money than the guys they left behind in some Russian village they’re from. No thank you !
the place does have fine looking women, which will offer infinite opportunities for said Low-​IQ thugs to get in your face to show the women how macho they are.
If you’re a Russian Drug Dealer who just came out of prison you will probably love this place !
This MatchPoint is the closest gym to my house and the only gym in the area that has a decent size pool, and as a swimmer and a bodybuilder i was really hoping i could join … but needless to say, that won’t be happening.
To summarize — this is a fine facility — but takes a very special kind of person (Low IQ Thug who likes to flaunt his money) to fit in here.

Truly as good as it gets. New and clean facilities. Friendly staff, and great coaches. I go to the gym every day, and often go for breakfast or lunch at their lounge upstairs. The food is very nice, as are their fresh squeezed juices and smoothies. Tennis courts are great, and the people that use the gym are a great crowd. Activities for kids are a huge added plus, and are very convenient for parents. Going for a workout while your kid is in class is priceless!
Everyone is super nice, and front desk staff is helpful and welcoming. Great gym in South Brooklyn, and I feel like I am getting top notch service for the price.

Don’t be fooled by the nice looking building from the outside. The facilities was built well and thats about all the good there is here. One of the most expensive gyms in the area if not maybe all of Brooklyn. What do you get for almost 900 a year? Attitude from managers, supervisors that don’t supervise or fix problems. Unorganized is an understatement either they make schedules based on how they feel that day or they play a game with their clients of who can i piss off today by cancelling their class or closing a section. I have never seen more confused people in my life you would think with all the money they invested in this place they would put people in it that could run it well. This place is a joke! They advertise a basketball court but dont be fooled the only court youll get to see is the food court when the basketball court is being taken over by martial arts and other events that are not on their «schedule».
Looking for a gym that you can do your work out and get out? DON’T COME HERE THEN!!!
So today was the breaking point for me and a few other members. I pay to just use the basketball court, and I was given their new schedule, then i called earlier to confirm the schedule. I get there and 30 minutes later they are kicking off 6 paying members because of a mistake they made. They don’t offer any way to remedy the problem. They don’t approach us and say were so sorry and this wont happen again. They just looked at us like worthless people in the way of their operation.
I rarely leave feedback for companies, there is no way i could pass on leaving this review. In all seriousness there are many gyms to choose from, i honestly don’t know why you would choose this gym, But don’t take my word for it check out the other reviews being left here.

I’m a hardcore gym goer. I signed up for a 3 day pass, just to test out the facility. Out of the 3 days, I’m only using 1, and never, ever going back.
Pros: Nice, clean locker room.
Beautiful space.
Towel service throughout the facility.

Unprofessional staff. When I met with a rep from member services, she didn’t even introduce herself. Not only that, but the person I had been in contact with via e-​mail, said that they would be there when I arrived and they weren’t. No joke– only one really nice person at the front desk.
The gym, if you even want to call it that, is a joke. It is LINED with Matrix equipment, which is garbage. Hardly any of the equipment is bolted down. People do not put weights back, at all. And considering it’s a tiny floor where the equipment is, people would put things back. Nope. Barely any bars to use for the multi-​use machines.
The people in the «gym» are rude. RUDE. RUDE. They walk around with a sense of self-​entitlement.
Oh– and while having a shake in the café, I witnessed two irritating guys making fun of a young kid taking tennis lessons. I wasn’t even in the facility for a full hour yet at that time and I was already disgusted.
What a great impression this place left me with. Stay away.

My daughter has been training in Rhythmic Gymnastics for 6 years, since she was 4 years old. She loves rhythmic gymnastics and that is in large part because our coach and program director Lucy really gets to know and understand each gymnast. She inspires them to be the best they can be with the right expectations, humor and love. And it works! Our coaches are world class and bring out the best in each child. All the coaches show mutual respect to each individual athlete and to the parents as well. There is always a sense of family while maintaining professionalism, discipline and sportsmanship. Competing in a beautiful and challenging sport such as rhythmic gymnastics helps girls develop confidence and poise, qualities they will benefit from all their lives. If your daughter enjoys dance, ballet, and gymnastics, this is the place for you. I highly recommend MatchPoint Rhythmic Gymnastics! If you’re seeking a quality rhythmic gymnastics program, why not learn from the best?

Great place, very clean, very comfortable to work out in. the workers are really nice, will always talk to you and help you, also the pool is very clean.

Cleaner than most sports club but horrible management.
Pool area looks great,
but they only have 2 shower stall after the swim class of about 20 to 30 kids.
Poor planning for a swim school.
I have 3 kids and 6 other nephews and neices that attend their swim class and they do not really teach that well.
I asked the coach why they do not correct the proper technic, and the response I got
«Are you a swim instructor?»
I am not a swimming pro but been to better swim school.
Unfortunately after hurricane Sandy we had to look for a new facility because the facility was damaged by the storm and we stumbled in to this school.
I would not recommend this facilty.
Looking for parking use to be good but now horrible.
Roof in the cafeteria is leaking and when it snows you will get an avalanche of snow if you are too close to their building.

I have had a great experience here with the staff and the swimming camp. The front desk staff has been able to immediately answer every question I have asked and have had forms and information readily accessible. The summer camps all seem to be well run with nice, mature and EXPERIENCED staff/​coaches. My only concern is that it seems that the kids watch about 30 minutes of a movie during a break and I can have my kids do that at home. They include lunch (standard chicken nuggets and fries type of options) and a healthy snack — this makes it easy to just drop kids and not have to worry about packing a lunch. The facility is amazing and not over crowded (yet).
The time line listed on the website is not exactly what is realistically happening but I think they are working out logistics being that these are the first camps they are running. The Director of the program is always visible and open to feedback.

Here is why this gym has a 1 star review from me:
— It launched poorly and out of necessity for member fees to start rolling in, with construction still going full swing. I don’t think this would be acceptable by any current «elite» fitness facilities. Bad planning/​layout such as lack of water fountains.
— Horrible customer service at the main desk. If you need something, you have to go through 2+ people before someone can actually help. If you don’t speak Russian, hope you’re lucky and get someone who understands what you need. I’ve never been greeted, ever.
— The Yoga room is TINY. There are a lot of people who want to do it but the space doesn’t allow for that. The absolute max is 16 people with NO space for instructor and you’re basically touching the wall /​others all the time. I thought I’d pay $ 50 here instead of a cheaper gym because I can do the Yoga classes, but I hate even thinking about being cramped in that room.
— The equipment is good, but the gym floor is seems crowded. Again, another reason that doesn’t make me want to try new things there — simply too much stuff in the room. There is barely any open space. This was fine for a while but more equipment came in, more people joined, and now it’s hard to work out. I constantly have to carry weights/​equipment to other parts of the gym because someone is using a machine that can injure me because it’s too close! I am not even sure how to begin barbell training because things are so packed.
— Deleting Facebook comments. Yup, if you ask a question or say anything that might somehow point to a flaw in the gym — your comment might be gone! Happened twice with me already.
— Weird class schedule. Lots of weekday morning classes starting at 9:30am… I’d love to take them save for the fact that most people have to be at work at that time. Need more variety in earlier classes. Similar thing with evening classes, many of them are around 6 and some around 8 – 9, so too early or too late.
— Very little communication with members regarding changes. When the gym launched I worked out and wanted to take a shower, to find that there was no hot water! The maintenance guy had no idea why, the construction workers may have turned it off… but there was no notice.
I won’t be renewing my membership here.

All of the negative reviews seem to be relating to the delays in opening. Yes it took around 7 – 8 months for this gym to open but they were building the entire premises from the ground up, give them a break! Construction isn’t easy!
I’ve been going to this gym for about a month now. I started coming in about two weeks before the official opening (I asked if I would be able to come by to use the equipment early and was told it was okay) and despite the minor issues that come with the fact that it’s still being finished up I love it.
The gym is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. There is a good variety of workout machines of all different types and more being added weekly. There are different weights, bars, balls, and other equipment for use. There is towel service both in the gym and the locker rooms. Fresh clean towels are folded everywhere to take and use as needed.
The locker room is lovely and clean. The lockers are on a code system so no locks needed! There are glass door showers and shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and hairspray for use (but no dryers so bring your own!). There is even a steam sauna. The locker room is constantly cleaned and restocked.
For now there are only late night or early morning classes because the room where the classes will be held is still being finished up. Still the classes I attended were great. I loved Zumba the best and Wednesday yoga class. It’s great that membership allows me to go to whichever classes I want whenever I want. The teachers are interactive and fun and it’s a neat atmosphere.
There is also a lounge with free wifi and good food and smoothies as well as plenty of tables and couches to sit around and do some work between classes or workouts. And there are three parking lots so parking is never an issue.
Also everyone is super sweet and friendly! I’m always greeted with a smile when I walk in and the staff just make me feel welcome. I’ve visited Bally’s and YMCA and the staff there always looked so annoyed and angry. Customer service really matters.
The pool is not open yet but I’m not impatient. I’ve been seeing it build up and it looks like it will be great. I can’t wait to take some swimming classes and learn to swim better for the summer!
