Dishonest! The guy working today pocketed $ 5 bucks from me. $ 5 does not mean much but the principle. If he wanted a tip for opening a refrigerator door he could’ve asked for it. Count your change before leaving this place.

I ordered some flowers online to be delivered to a friend in Bay Ridge. I wanted to pick a place that was close to where my friend lives and also had good reviews. My research paid off. My friend was extremely happy with the arrangement (High Style Blooms Arrangement). It was delivered promptly and in excellent condition. My only complaint is that some places don’t charge for delivery, and this one charges $ 15, which seems a little high. But paying the extra price was worth it because they did a really nice job.

I absolutely LOVED the flowers you al created for our wedding on Saturday, June 27^th! I had originally intended to do my own bouquets and boutonnieres but about two weeks before he wedding I was getting nervous and drove into Brooklyn to look for a florist…
McAteer was right by the church we were getting married in so I thought I’d check them out and i’m sooooo glad I did! They created EXACTLY the flower bouquets and boutonnieres that I had imagined for the big day.

Love going to this flower shop. Best, freshest flowers, and laz the owner is the closest thing to an artist you can get. Always gives me good prices always delivers on time. Would recommend to anyone.

I’m not sure where to start. It was not my wedding and maybe I had different expectations of this place but I’ll just tell you the facts.
The bridesmaid flowers were loosely (poorly) wrapped with the ribbon. There was plastic sticking out of the wrapped ribbon! Not sure why there was plastic wrapper. Maybe a «florist trick», but at least they could have wrapped it neater to hide it.
The bridesmaids bouquet was made with Fresh white roses with fake silk leaves. This was my first experience with fake and real being in the same bouquet. And the roses on the sides were snapping off even before we started handling them.
Wish I had taken pictures to show proof of the «messiness»
Again, it wasn’t my wedding, but at least McAteer could have done a better job with the presentation whether the flowers were fake or not.
Thats all I have to say about this.
Aside from the bouquets, the centerpieces and sweetheart table arrangements were very well done. So, I give this place a solid 3 stars.

Really awesome manager and customer service. When I went back to see if they could fix some of the flowers I had picket up from them on mother’s day, the manager was waiting outside to greet me even though they were just about to close shop. No one gave me a hard time about the purchase. The manager personally fixed up a bunch of fresh flowers and set everything right. My wife loves their arrangements and would go back there again.

We recently ordered flowers from McAteer for my Mom’s 85^th Birthday Party that was being held at a nearby restaurant. This is the first time that I have used this florist… honestly out of convenience. We ordered small and medium table arrangements made of purple roses and white hydrangeas. The flowers were so fresh and alive, really nicely done… I am impressed with the workmanship and artistry that went into all the work. The flowers arrived with more than enough time to spare, set up lovely on all the tables… Everyone at the party commented on the beautiful work that was done… I will happily continue to use McAteer for my future events.

Lazarus is great to work with. He worked with our budget and created beautiful arrangements that were the crowning jewels of the reception. The centerpieces were arrangements of hydrangeas and roses, the flower headband with garden roses, and the bouquet was lush with peonies and roses. Will use him for all of our future events.

Lazarus did a wonderful job with the flowers for my December wedding. Everything was exactly as I imagined, and ever better. My bouquet was beautiful and many people said it was the best they’d ever seen. There were also no issues with delivery to my lower Manhattan venue. I cannot thank him and his staff enough.

Hands down some of the coolest designs I’ve had done were at McAteer Florists, they can do ANYTHING. This side of South Brooklyn, they are the way to go for all your floral needs large and small, they seriously can do it all. They’re brilliant.
I’ve brought them some super high end designs and they can manage it with alternative flowers and do some unique arrangements that I’ve NEVER been disappointed with.
They also accommodate any request I’ve had (and I have had some weird ones). My mother in law is a floral designer who worked at my beloved Belle Fleur in Manhattan, but alas she lives in LI so if I need a design quickly I need a local shop.
I cannot recommend the team at McAteer Florists more highly; I have super-​high expectations and standards and they exceed them every single time. Also worth noting is their creative and beautiful window designs that they rotate frequently sometimes with live birds, woodland creatures and delights that you really have to stand and look at to see.

While staying with a friend during Hurricane Sandy, I wanted to purchase something special for her apartment. McAteer Florist was full of fresh, beautiful flowers and plants. The florist was delightful to work with and helped me to select two floral arrangements with coordinating plants. I was extremely happy with my experience and recommend McAteer’s arrangements for any occasion.
