Just a regular unsweetened iced coffee, they kept making me the sweet French vanilla twice, when I talked to the girl the third time, she said«oh» then went back to her cashier position took care of other people, where is my unsweetened regular iced coffee? I don’t take my coffee sweet!!!

One does not have high expectations of McDonalds, but a couple things. 1. This is basically just a hang-out for everyone in the area without a job.(Read: The whole neighborhood) 2. More often than not the cheap-ass ownership of this franchise understaffs to cut costs, resulting in 3pm lines of 18 people. 3. Fast food my ass.

The worst customer service and they want to get paid $ 15/hr?!? Everything seems like it’s an inconvenience to them and they take forever to bring us the food we order. even though you can see all of them in the back just chit chatting away.

Please note that I’m giving this a 5ASMCDONALD’S GO. Not giving it a 5 up against Craftsteak or something, let’s keep it real. I remember when this McDonald’s really sucked. It always took forever, lots of attitude – just like everyone else said. Even the fries were bad. And what’s McDonald’s without good fries, really. Then they closed down for a few months and a week before they reopened, I walked by once and caught a glimpse of the artsy stencils they were putting up on the walls. I think one of them almost looked like Obama. I had to wonder why it was necessary for this McDonald’s to take itself THAT seriously just for it to function. The stencils worked, because when this place opened up again it was COMPLETELY different. Everyone behind the counter is always respectful and nice, the service is reasonable even during crowded times and the food is as good as McDonald’s gets. And yes, the first time I went I was totally charmed by the jazz they were playing – especially because it wasn’t elevator smooth jazz. It was some straight up be-bop, high on psychadelics and heroin jazz. Note to 90% of NYC bars: be more like this McDonald’s. I also love how many people were as taken with the jazz as I was. Look at us, we some yuppies for real! The last time I went, around 10am on a Saturday, two older Caribbean men waiting for their food in front of me started up a discussion about politics that quickly made an existential turn into a debate about faith. One of them was defiant in his belief in a divine greater power but not in any single religion. The other guy refused to accept this and stormed away with his Hot Cakes. Behind me, two old ladies sipped their coffee gossiping about a girl who just got pregnant. I got all the tea just standing there waiting for my Egg McMuffin! Trust me when I say this McDonald’s is poppin. Thank you, stencils.

Great improvement! The old one was quite scary and this one is very inviting and clean. Love that they play jazz in here too. Like the new system, order at one end and get your order at the other. My only complaint is that when I come here early in the morning for coffee, they never seem to have enough people working. The other day I ordered a reg black coffee, it took 10 mins to get it because the young lady doing the coffee was overwhelmed and got my order wrong three times. The last coffee she gave me was a decaf. I just accepted it so that I could get out of there. But overall nice redo!

HUUUGEIMPROVEMENT!!! This store used to be super dingy, dirty and slow. Now, it’s super chic! And they were playing Jazz! LOVEDIT! Service was also much quicker. They just need to do something about the people that come here just to sit around and hangout. Other than that, I’m loving it!

This is a review for my first visit sice this location has reopened after renovating. Brought someone here to get some coffee and first thing i noticed is how much better it looks inside. Like you can actually sit and eat here after buying something! The girl at the counter was friendly and so was the guy handing the coffee. I noticed there was a manager walking around so that might explain the friendly service(I’m a Brooklyn resident and am always appalled at the lack of customer service in my borough). Best of all, there was jazz music playing! Definitely an improvement over before, hope they keep it up!

this mcdonalds is horrible. there is always a long line cuase there is only two cashiers. i went today and it was the same thing, long lines. when i asked for a plastic bag for my food i was told it would be 50 cents. come on 50 cents for a plastic salad bag. and they charge 25 cents for lemon for the sweet tea, this makes no sense. all these things were free, why all of a sudden are we paying for a plastic salad bag and lemon. the manager of ths location is just money hungry.

I echo everything said before me. This is the worst McDonalds I’ve ever been to. I went to the counter to order a Sundae. The cashier said they were out of soft serve. I then asked for an apple pie. They were out of apple pies. I settled for a large fry. Before leaving I asked for ketchup. THEYWEREOUTOFKETCHUP. It is summer and you are McDonalds. How are you out of ice cream, AND ketchup!!! This was the second time in a row I ordered ice cream and the were out. Management needs to figure things out. That is pretty unacceptable.

Same as the other reviewers: it took twenty minutes to get my food(not an exaggeration; I clocked it). There seemed to be plenty of employees behind the counter and in the back, and my burger wasn’t even freshly made, so what could have taken so long? Also, the cashier misheard my very clearly-stated«large diet coke» as «two apple pies,» so I’ll go out on a limb and say that not a lot of attention is being paid by these people. I know, your job sucks, but some of us would be happy to have your minimum-wage paycheck so SUCKITUP.

It may seem silly to review a fast food chain establishment on Unilocal, however after several visits to this PARTICULAR Mcdonalds, I felt really compelled to voice my disgust for how poorly run this place is. I really hope this gets viewed by the owners and if not, at least will save some poor folks in need of their fast food fix from wasting their time and money. The previous review is pretty much on point and reminds me a bit of my experience there. I’m going to resist the urge to rant my brains out but I’ll keep it fairly short and simple: This McDonalds is disgusting, it feels dirty and dont be surprised to see crackheads and homeless people inside, staring you down and giving you the stinkeye. The service is terrible, I understand these people’s career goal probably isn’t to work at a fast food chain, but seriously, be at least semi professional, you ARE getting paid for it. It’s really not a hard job at all and there are qualified people in need of jobs that would do it 100x better than the workers here. Just keep in mind you’ll be waiting FOREVER for one or two simple things off the menu. Last and worst of all, the food is REALLY stale and dry all the time, the sodas are flat and the hot drinks taste like they were watered down with piss(who knows, eh?). It’s fast food, not a 5 star restaurant, clearly, so how high can expectations be? But, if all you want is some cold soda, freshly fried chicken, and hot fries, your better off going to any OTHER fast food place around here, there’s literally a bunch… Walk around the corner, or go 3 blocks down to the MD on Snyder ave and save yourself from this terrible place.

Possibly the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to, and I say that after having been to this one a number of times. The people who work here seem to have the attitude that customers ordering food are somehow a major inconvenience to them, as if their jobs are to merely stand around and clock hours on the timesheet. This McDonald’s doesn’t seem to be understaffed, yet there is always a long wait to get to the cashier and then a long wait to actually get food. I have no idea what all of these people actually do if they aren’t cooking and taking orders. The last time I was in there, my girlfriend and I had to wait 10 minutes just to place our order. We swipe the debit card and it doesn’t work. The cashier looks at us and says«it doesn’t work, you’ll have to use cash.» My girlfriend tells her we don’t have cash. The cashier barks something in the general direction of other employees then looks past us at the person behind us and asks for his order. We stand there waiting for someone to ring us up on another register and the cashier looks at us and asks«do you have cash?» We say no, and she growls«well, I can’t do anything about it» and turns back to another customer. She doesn’t point us to an ATM, doesn’t give us other options, just basically dismissed us. Unbelievable.
