Michael & Sophia’s Pizzeria

Shame I thought this pizzeria was the best around my home and their prices and deals were great but sadly they are now closed down it would appear.

I’m never writing a bad reviews but this time I was really disappointed! The food was disgusting, I was waiting for an hour for chicken wrap and chicken tenders and I just throw everything in a garbage! Also the forgot to add my drink in the order. I waste my time and my money (17 $ +3 $tips) I’m going to work hungry and angry

Tonight was my first time ordering from here. I used Seamless. Thought with the Unilocal 4 star rating they had it would be good.
I ordered the Hero burger with cheddar cheese, grilled onion, bacon, lettuce and tomato. Burger arrived with yucky American cheese. Scrapped that off.
The flat bottom bun, already low quality, was grey and soggy from being saturated with grease and was useless. Top bun also thin and soggy. After two bites I ended up discarding both.
The burger meat, which was two ¼ lb. patties, were unseasoned and a bit tough. No flavor.
The three slices of bacon were each all curled up in a ball instead of flat so just got a bite of a whole piece of fatty, soggy and not at all crisp bacon.
And the 5 small onion rings on the side were thin, wimpy and obviously frozen, low quality onion rings with no flavor or crunch.
It was a disappointingly bad meal and not worth the money.
I gave them the 1 star because the order arrived on time (I don’t live too far away) and when I called to tell them about the problems with my order they were friendly and offered me something else, but it was too late because I was hungry and ate what I could but did not want to wait for something else. When I did not want them to send me anything else they didn’t offer a refund or a credit, but said they would talk to the chef. But I will not order from here again.

I’ve also tried their pizza, burgers, hanger steak salad, and spinach roll. Everything was really good.

I’ve only been living in New York for a year and have had a few pizza deliveries from different establishments and the pizza was always cold. This is the first place that the pizza is actually piping hot and fresh when it arrives … Still have yet to try the best pizza in NYC but this place is pretty Damon good as far as delivery goes.

Got the Veggie deep dish. In NY standards I guess its deep dish. The dough was weird and bread-​ish, I was hoping for at least pizza hut pan pizza style dough.
There was SO much cheese and barely any sauce.
It was ok, probably not ordering again.

Went here a few weeks ago to order take out for dinner because I wanted to try a new place in the neighborhood and had a great experience. The two guys working behind the counter was very friendly. The place looked very clean and proper. Décor was nice and fits in well with everything.
While I waited for my order to be made a few teenagers came in and each order regular slices of pizza. The man who took their order offered them the premium slices instead of regular at the same price. They may have done it because it was a couple hours before closing but they didn’t have to. I was surprised by that gesture because I rarely see that if at all.
Ordered a bunch of items totaling $xx and after I paid for my order they decided to throw in a complimentary bottle of soda noticing I didn’t order drinks. That was a very nice gesture.
Overall experience was excellent and will be returning and spreading the word about this place.

So I was on grub hub saw this place said why not ?! Cheeseburger «brooklyn» Swiss and mushroom. So let’s start with that, taste like canned mushrooms !!! Gross then angus beef asked for temp so I’m guessing this is a beefy burger. But no thin burger ! Then gives you the option of onion ring fries, went for onion rings they gave me 6 ! I should of taken a pic but I was starved. Then my husband got a meatball hero ! Just beyond gross ! Stay away from here. Grey meat ! No taste ! Frozen food taste !! It’s taking me everything to not call and speak to management. I hope I don’t get sick from this nasty food

This place is a hit or miss in my opinion. Even though the décor and look of the pizzeria gives you a home type of feel and is newly renovated, what really matters the most is the food itself. What i wasnt happy about was when i came up to the employees to ask about the wine slice or feta cheese slice he looked at me like i had three heads and just pointed to the menu, manwhile i saw other Unilocalers take photos of those slices with great reviews. I would hope that the staff would know their own menu. Anyway i am the type of person who «eats with their eyes» type of appetite, so i literally ordered whatever slices looked fancy. The tomato mozz and garlic slice caught my eye along with the buffalo chicken slice. The slices themselves were good portions and they werent too doughy or too oily, they each had the right amount of sauce. The buffalo chicken slice had a good amount of chicken with a kick to it but it was too spicy for my personal preference. The price has a kick to it too, paid nearly ten bucks for those two slices. Would i come back here? Yes, i believe they have much more to offer. Is the staff helpful here. NO.

Just so very disappointed … I was looking forward to great pizza! I think what’s most disappointing is the fact that I’ve been to this place! I’ve had their pizza! and it was pretty great! The pizza III had was thin crust, fresh sauce, lots of delicious, gooey cheeeeeese. So I placed an order, I waited, I received … 1 slice of Hawaiian pizza (yes, there are people who like pineapple on their pizza), a grilled chicken Caesar wrap, an order of bbq wings, and an «Italian» burger; oh yeah, a 2-​liter GINGER ALE. Let’s start with the fact that when I opened the bag I saw a bottle of Coke. ok, I can deal. I get a slice that looks like it just got defrosted about 10 minutes ago and I say 10 minutes because what I held was pretty cold and nothing about it looked or tasted freshly prepared. I get it, it’s a slice not a pie but come on … it REALLY should NOT taste like frozen pizza! (smh). The burger — so for $ 8 we got a medium (on a small side) burger with mozzarella cheese and tater tots (usually a big fan of tots but they also tasted «freshly defrosted»). The burger reminded me of those lunch burgers we used to get in school, thin patty and mushy bread. Ok the bun was fine but the patty … ugh disappointment :(. Let’s move on to the wrap … absolutely NOTHING to write home about. Tons of lettuce, some chicken, dressing that had a seriously bitter aftertaste :(. Wings were — OK.
I just can’t believe that this is the same place I ordered that wonderful slice of pizza from only two weeks ago … may be it’s a fluke! may be the chef had an «off» night … I may give it another chance but it’s not likely to be another $ 30 delivery order.

I have ordered their Lasagna several times and it is really good. They make the Lasagna everyday and if you go in late in the day, they will make it fresh as they sell out by dinner time. We have also had their Ravioli and Baked Ziti and were also very pleased. The store appears to be very clean with Red and White plastic table cloths on the tables. I would recommend Michael and Sophia’s as a good choice for dinner.

I’ve seen the inside of the pizzeria while walking home and I think the place looks a lot cleaner than most pizzerias. Their tables have red and white tablecloths and I think they look cute.
My family usually orders Papa John’s pizza out of convenience (gross I know) but I wanted to try this place, so in exchange, I had to go out and order it myself.
I ordered a spinach roll and a Michael’s Stuffed Deep Dish specialty pizza (pepperoni, sausage, meatball, ham, and bacon with homemade pizza sauce). On their menu, they have a picture of a deep dish pizza but the pizza I got wasn’t deep dish at all. It was more of a pan pizza, but I still thought it was really good.
The spinach roll was for my mom and she wolfed down half of the roll after eating a big slice of pizza so it should have been good!
Overall, I had a good experience, and I think I’ve managed to convince my family to never order chain pizza again so I think we’ll be ordering from here from now on.

Eggplant and Chicken Parm… Pizza…Salad. HUGE order tonight, and it was ALL fantastic. It was our first time at the restaurant and it’s very clean, all the employees are super nice and accommodating. I would not hesitate to go back again. I’m sitting here typing this fighting a food coma. I really can’t stress enough as to how much I loved the food. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and head over to M&S’s for some good eats!

Tonight was my first time visiting Michael and Sophia’s and I can’t wait to come back! From the moment you get there, you are welcomed by the smell of the pizzas baking in the oven. The place is very inviting with its modern design, but it’s also very family friendly too. Very clean and spacious too!
The food was made to order and it was ready for pickup when I got there. The guys behind the counter were very sweet and carefully helped me to my car… I had a pretty big order! The food was delicious! From the pizza to the pasta, I couldn’t ask for a better meal! I’m definitely coming back and trying the other menu items. Such a great variety!

The spaghetti was AMAZING! The sauce was nice & light and most importantly very flavorsome. Delicious! Their house dishes & pizza are fresh which is always a plus. second time coming here w/​my family and looking forward to many more visits. great friendly and family orientated place Thanks guys two thumbs up

Of all the pizzerias that have been on the corner in the past four years this place is by far the best. Their pizza is good but you have to try their burgers and their wiiiinnnggggsss!!! (Clearly my favorite). Not to mention Pete, Pay and PJ are the friendliest bunch.

Ordered one of their deals on the back of their menu. Had the large one topping pizza with an order of garlic knots, 6 buffalo wings, and a 2 liter soda for $ 18. They seemed very happy to see me when I went to pick up my order. It was ready really quickly ~15 minutes. The pizza was good. The crust is fluffy and soft. The wings were tasty but very small. The garlic knots were very very greasy. But overall, this pizza place is better than the past ones that have been in that location.

We really love the Sicilian pie in my house — which is great because my dad is really picky about pizza but he will actively look for an excuse to order it! Lol delicious sauce and fantastic cheese both make for a spectacular pizza that makes everyone happy. The only downside is that there are never any leftovers allowed to make it to the next day lol

I’ve only ordered from this place once, but was very disappointed with their food.
I ordered the stuffed deep dish pizza. I was really looking forward to it as I haven’t had deep dish in years.
What they delivered was an ordinary Brooklyn style pizza. This was no deep dish pie.
They have a picture of a deep dish pie on their menu, so they must know the difference.
While it did have a lot of cheese on it and the toppings were all good, it had very little sauce. For what it was, it was tasty, but not what I wanted or ordered.
Their location has had a ton of pizza places open and close in the past couple of years. I hope they get their act together soon.

Of the 6 or so pizzerias that have called this location home over the past two years, this is the best. Crispy crust, tasty toppings, and lots of choices. Everything is fresh and well made. Haven’t tried the kitchen food yet, but thats certainly on the radar for the next visit. If all you want is pizza or a beef patty, this place certainly has the good eats.
