Michael’s Pastry Shop

Was craving for some pastries (cannolis to be exact) and found this spot. Once i entered, i frlt like i was in pastry heaven. The whole shoppe smelled so good. The pastries were neatly aligned in their glass display. There were so many options to choose from. I was really excited about their cakes. Saw rainbow cake!!! We ended up getting some rainbow cookies, mini carrot cake, mini chocolate mousse cake, cannolis, and some eclairs to try. The smell of the rainbow cookies were so good that we tried it as soon as we got back into the car. One of the best rainbow cookies i’ve had. Filled with flavor and so bright/​colorful. Cant wait to go back to try their rainbow cake!!! I tried the mini carrot cake at home and cannolis, both were awesome! My bf really enjoyed the mini chocolate mousse cake, not too sweet and npt heavy. We are so glad we found this place.
They also have a restaurant across the st! I plan on checkin them out next.

Michael’s Pastry is my favorite bakery in the area. One of my favorite things from there is the mini Crème Brulee cakes!

It used to be a Thanksgiving day tradition for me and one of my girlfriends to stand on the line for sometimes over an hour waiting to get our grubby hands on boxes of pastries. A few years ago we decided that we had better things to do with our time and started placing and paying for our orders ahead of time and picking up on Thanksgiving day… why didn’t we think of that sooner???
Their pignoli cookies are a must try! And a tray of a dozen mini pastries is always a welcomed sight at dinner parties! Don’t forget to get a loaf of old fashioned prosciutto bread and some Iaccoca to take home too!

Still the best cannoli’s and carrot cake in all of Brooklyn! Been coming here since I was a kid and still the same great pastries.

Michaels pastry shop makes killer cheese cakes. There are many cheese cake toppings to choose from. They have other pastries as well but I go strictly for their cheese cakes.

They’re cookies are really good!!!

I really enjoy their Linzer cookies, the rainbow cookies. Ok I love Italian cookies. Their cake is pretty good too! Just go and try all of them. You won’t regret.

Can never get enough of this place. There’s a good reason for the line during the holidays! The cakes are unbelievable! Also their apple crumb is out of this world

Check your order before you leave the store!!!
I pre-​ordered to save time and make things easier on myself. I went to pick them up on Thanksgiving Eve and just assumed the staff got my order correct. I was wrong. I picked out every single pastry I wanted and when I opened them up today for Thanksgiving none of the pastries I wanted were there.
I spent over $ 50 in desserts and was extremely disappointed with the outcome. My family and I have been using Michaels for years. Now, I will never go to Michaels ever again, nor will my family. Palermo Bakery in Mill Basin has received a new customer.

Back here for birthday cheesecake, their service is so sweet to match their items, love it everytime.

I’ve been here a couple times and each time the service is absolutely horrible!! The woman boss is rude and mean as well. The pastries are way over priced and rarely fresh. Good luck. I recommend Nuccios instead.

Easter tiramisu was partially frozen. I would have been better off purchasing a $ 10 frozen tiramisu from Trader Joe’s.

Anytime I’m hungry and walking by or waiting for the bus, it is definitely torture. They bake everything fresh in house and the glorious scents that eek out of that place will surely drive you wild.
From the cakes to the pastries and cookies, everything is pretty spot on. They also have good bread too.
You really can’t go wrong coming here.

I recently took a food Pilgrimage to my hometown of Brooklyn, NY.
Two words.
RAINBOW COOKIES.
Thank you. I was able to taste them again, and I almost cried. I bought 3 lbs to take back with me of assorted cookies.
If you haven’t had Michael’s, dare I say you have not truly lived!

I bought a Michael’s sugar-​free apple pie to bring to Thanksgiving dinner. Oddly, they gave it to me already in a box with tape on the sides rather than fresh out of the pie case. I asked why, and they simply said, «that’s how we do it now.» The diabetic dinner guest I bought the pie for didn’t like it at all. He said it tasted stale and sticky, like diner pie that’s been laying around a while. Nobody wanted that pie and it just got thrown out. Bummer! There’s way better sugar-​free baked goods in supermarkets.

So friendly with delicious pastries!!! The staff is mostly welcoming, except for the two young women who helped me. I was given somewhat of an attitude when I asked for a plastic bag to carry my pastries. I guess it could be attributed to the amount of people/​heavy flow of business, but I work in retail myself and even when it is busy, professionalism should be demonstrated.
However, I love this shop and I will return to aquire pastries here :)

My favorite spot to get my sugar fix. LOL. Sometimes i go out of my way just to have their pastries.

Great cookies, and even better cake. They did my bridal shower cake and it was so beautiful I didn’t want I cut it.

You cannot top the ice cream sorbet and gelattos they sell in the summer. The moose tracks ice cream flavor is my favorite ! I also love the cookies they have here, especially the rainbow cookies. And of course the crembrulee is to die for. The staff is friendly and caring and will always try their best to cater to your needs:)

Thank goodness Michael’s has this pastry shop, because there’s no other shop like this in Marine Park.
Just like the restaurant across the street, Michael’s is pure quality.
Love their 7 layer cookies, 7 layer pastries, and 7 layer cake (although it has to be custom ordered and it’s expensive).
Their cannoli’s are great, apple turnovers are also good and they have everything else you would need from a pastry shop.
They also sell Michael’s line of sauces and other Italian products that makes for a good one stop shop.
As good as it gets, stop by and enjoy!
