The yarn department: If I’m making a larger project such as an afghan I find that they don’t stock enough skeins, or enough in a single dye lot, to complete the project, so I have to look elsewhere. So Michelle’s is only for small knitting or crochet projects.

this store can be very convienant when looking for supplies for your kids school projects. although, i do agree the women are knowledgable and the store is very well stocked, the women can also be very abrupt and rude at times. i get the feeling i am being watched every second, i am afraid to touch something. i also find them to be on expensive side. I also cannot understand why they close so early during the week. I get off work at 5pm, go home to pick up my daughter to go get supplies and they are closed!
There is another store up further on flatbush called savathon, they are much more reasonable and have just as much as supplies as michelle’s if not more.
