Patrons of Barrio may not realize that it closed in January 2012, and quickly reopened as Mix, a «new American bistro.» The tapas style small and medium plates are divided into the categories Farm, Sea, Land, and offer an eclectic choice. Additionally, the menu’s Bar and Sweet sections list cocktails and desserts. The Squash Soup with fried sage, shaved parmesan & nutmeg, is the perfect start to a cold winter’s meal, and went nicely with the pulled pork sandwich. Brunch doesn’t disappoint, either: the scrambled egg, chorizo, and provolone pannini is a great weekend treat.
