Najax Cleaners

love this place!!! delivery pick up and drop off with no issues, no minimum, no weekends only deliver (like happy cleaners) I wish I found this place sooner!

A friendly family-​run business. The dry cleaning is good but it surprised me with expert tailoring.

We’ve been going to Najax for almost two decades. They clean very well, and tailor almost as well. We’re like family now… we drop off our things in a bag, they know it’s ours, no standing while they take out each item, etc. They have even surprised us by delivering our items if they are making deliveries near our home.

Just had a rather odd and unexplained problem – my laundry seemed to have been missing from their location. NOT lost – just, I think, not delivered from their plant, or something? (End result is that I have no laundry for the next several days…) Which seems like a very strange thing for a cleaners to do. And they didn’t do anything to try to remedy the situation – no offer of a discount, etc.
I had originally like the place. Not so much anymore.

I love them — been going for 6 years and never disappointed — always on time and alterations are spot on. They are a family run business who care about their customers and go above and beyond — like bringing a dress to my house on the 1 day a week that they are closed because they knew I needed it for a wedding. Their prices are reasonable, too.

I’ve taken several dresses here to get work done… and they’ve done a beautiful job with all of them!
One dress was particularly difficult and I wasn’t happy with the straps, so I brought it back and they fixed it for me on the spot. They are accommodating and understanding that a girl just needs her clothes to fit right!
They are sweet and I will definitely make the trip back just to get my clothes done here. Prices are also reasonable.
Edit: I just brought in a dress to be hemmed and it costs $ 20. The other joint by my house tried to charge me $ 55 for the same job! So there you go…

I’ve been coming to Najax for my dry cleaning and tailoring needs for almost 2 years. They are one of the most reasonably priced dry cleaners I’ve found in Brooklyn. They take credit cards which isn’t as common as one would expect nowadays (no minimum either.) If you have a car parking is relatively easy right out front (metered, but a quick in and out). They are very friendly and if there ever is a mistake, which is bound to happen at any service provider, they own up ti it and make it right. Even when I move, I can’t see myself going to any other cleaners so long as I’m still in Brooklyn. Especially with experiences like the one I wrote about at

I’ve gone to this cleaners once in the past with no problems. This time I took in a set of thermal, rubber-​backed curtains marked dry clean only. They did just that, and ruined the curtains in the process. Not only did they ruin the curtains, they just kept saying, oh not ready yet, come back tomorrow. When they were finally presented they explained that they shouldn’t be dry-​cleaned and there was a bit of a problem. They showed me the «problem» and charged me a discounted price; upon arriving home and examining the curtains myself, I found that most of the rubber on the back was actually gone from the curtains and there were holes in them. When I brought them back to the cleaners, he hesitantly gave me my money back and told me the manufacturer should be paying me back as it wasn’t his fault. I found this completely offensive and will therefore never use them again. Buyer beware

i live in the area, and i’ve been trying to figure out where to get alterations done, so i brought a newly purchased (not inexpensive) pair of jeans in for an inch and a half hem. this was on a monday. i was told to pick them back up friday, which was perfect, because friday happened to be my birthday and i was going to wear them that night. well, friday afternoon i returned to najax with my ticket in hand and nobody in the store could find my jeans anywhere. i waited a solid 15 minutes while two other customers received their items, and mine were nowhere to be found. they weren’t under the pile of «to alter» they checked at least 10 times. they weren’t in the tiny closet with the shower curtain over it, where they checked 5 times, and they weren’t on the rotating dry-​cleaning hangar machine, because they spun it three times checking. they just weren’t there, and the proprietor told me to leave my number and come back later. i came back two hours later and my jeans still were nowhere to be found. the proprietor told me to return the next day with my receipt, and he would reimburse me for the cost of the jeans. luckily i had a receipt, and when i returned the next day my jeans had magically appeared! unhemmed! they told me they would do it for no cost, so i decided to let them go for it, but i won’t be returning anytime soon. fwiw, agnes up the street is much more reliable, low volume, and organized.

So, I don’t live in Windsor Terrace anymore. In fact, I live about 20 minutes away.
But I still go here for my dry cleaning and alterations.
Why? Because they always do a good job. And it’s cheap. (One Manhattan dry cleaning place quoted me $ 30 for an alteration; this place did it for $ 4.)
Plus, they’re nice, and it’s family run.
And they’re open very early, for those pre-​work pick-​ups.
Yes. Big fan.

great family owned business– they do a good job and are very accomodating timewise, in fact we travel from kensington to windsor terrace
because we haven’t found any good places in kensington.

I’m pretty sure Najax can get just about any stain out. They provide tailor services as well but I haven’t used the services yet. The staff at Najax has been very accommodating the few times we needed things turned around faster than usual.
Yes, although there are other options on the street, Najax is the only cleaners I will use.
