My go-to place for Chinese. Very fast, very quick, very filling, and constantly improving. 10 dollars and you have a lunch or a dinner. Like Adam Smith intended.

Such a great example of Brooklyn Chinese take out. Tostones are a must here. Boneless ribs are broiled not deep fried. Chicken wings are the best around– BBQ sauce is 50 cents more. The fries are ehhh– they are straight cut and I am a crinkle cut typa girl! All my coworkers feast at this place. And we’ve never gotten sick! Waay better than the place a few doors down.

This place admittedly looks a little scary. It is on Broadway, under the J M Z train and across from McDonalds. There are always a ton of impatient, loud people waiting for their food. It is definitely a cheap neighborhood place and has not been hipster-fied at all. The ladies who give the food and take your orders are not friendly. Business only. But judging on the complaints and requests of the clientele, I can see why. You can get pretty much any standard Chinese take out dish, including spare ribs and chicken wings. I have gotten take out here many times and really like the Chow Mei Fun singapore style. For about 5 or 6 bucks, I have food for multiple meals. Have had beef and broccoli and an eggplant dish, all which are pretty standard. If you have 5 or 10 bucks and want some solid Chinese take out, come here. Seriously, sit here for about 15 minutes while you eat your food out of the styrofoam and just listen to the people ordering. It’s pretty funny.

I’ve been eating/getting delivery from here off and on in the 2.5 years I’ve lived in the neighborhood. It’s what you’d expect — okay food, cheap prices, no ambience, no surprises. But I just got the broccoli with garlic sauce for the first time ever and it was about five times better than I expected it to be. Seriously, I did not know broccoli in a sauce could be so delicious. I’m not sure what they put in it, other than lots of garlic and red pepper, but it was great. It’s still a three-star establishment overall(at least until they improve the dumplings) but this meal deserved a review.
