As a longtime fan of acupuncture, I sincerely recommend it, so I would hate for anyone to have the experience I just did and feel discouraged before they even get in the door.
I dialed the 646 number listed as the business phone. It was answered with an impatient «Hello!» I apologized and said I thought I was calling a business number, so she said NYHealing Touch. Ok… I told her I was calling to see about an appointment. With the same impatient tone she said «We’re not available today.»
Her tone was so unpleasant and snappy that I didn’t bother saying that I have this whole week off and wasn’t necessarily calling about today and I hung up instead.
If you have an experience like this, please don’t give up on the idea of acupuncture. It is calming and improves so many physical ailments. I strongly recommend Element, which is also in Carroll Gardens. They have nice receptionists who do their best to help, even if you ARE calling for a same-day appointment.

My family and I have been clients of Heidi’s for several years now (acupuncture and massage). Before and after major surgery, my doctor said acupuncture was definitely a helpful thing for me to be doing. I’ve been seeing Heidi twice a week for almost 5 months and Heidi has been an integral part of my healing process.
She truly cares about her clients — asking what the current issues are (pain points, anything else abnormal etc.) and takes it from there. She really understands the body and what is beneficial for each clients’ needs. She’s extremely personable and funny.
She’s been excellent at working around my hectic schedule and that means the world to me.
I would recommend Heidi for acupuncture or massage any day.
