Had this place for brunch on a Sunday and let me begin by saying SERVICE is extremely slow. My cousin and I decided to do the brunch special drinks $ 15 for up to 5 cocktails. It took us forever to get our services attention let alone refills on our cocktails. If it weren’t for the nice gentleman in the front we probably never would’ve got our food/drinks order! Menu and drinks were mediocre

Wanted dinner and would not be seated in restaurant and it’s empty 9pm on a sat. Save money go 5 Vesuvios service and food is better.

Went to dinner here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. Great date spot, warm, dark, candlelit romantic. Spanish and Italian music playing. Good wine list. I had the barbera davola — fabulous wine! Food was pretty much on point. We had For appetizers the burratta and the Gorgonzola salad. I preferred the burratta. For entrée we had the roast duck and the orriechete with sausage and broccoli rab. Both really great. Duck was on point. For dessert we shared a tiramisu — not bad but not the greatest I’ve ever had. Would come again.

My mom and I decided to come here because it was in the area and I read good reviews. The food was good. I had escargot for the first time and it smelled great and the sauce it was in was great with the bread. The bread was cold and wasn’t toasted though. Tried the three wine tastings, good deal for $ 15. I had the penne with vodka sauce and salmon, so tasty. My mom had the chicken stuffed with spinach, prosciutto, and cheese, served with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes was tasty and smooth and the chicken delish. Like what everyone else said the service was a little slow.

Visiting a friend and fellow poet in Brooklyn summons dinner in Bay Ridge. Olla Wine Bar is an intimate atmosphere setting with a good selection of wine and Italian entrees. By the power of observation on a Sunday night it appears we were among only four women patrons in the whole restaurant since it was Grammy Awards 2015 night. Olla Wine Bar fends a rustic winery setting with wine corks and a large wooden wine barrel as props. Several times during our course of dinner, the lighting was dimmed rather than just once. It is the perfect atmosphere for a date. I love the old fashion green blackboard handwritten message«I love everything that’s old… Old friends, old times, old manners, old books and old wine» with an illustrated sketch of a wine bottle pouring wine into a glass. Yes, Happy Hour is available. Somewhat overpriced. The entrees: My Risotto with shrimp and scallops $ 24.00 was yum, yum. The Saffron rice was prepared well as it was not dry but flavorable. Risotto has traditionally always been«market value» priced as written on menus, but surprisingly Olla Wine Bar does not. I engulfed the whole entrée without hesitation due to extreme hunger pangs and my long standing love for Risotto. At first, I contemplated on the Hanger Steak sauteed with shallot red wine but it would be my first choice for a return visit. My friend’s Penne All Canarino $ 16.00 was plentiful. Neither of us order appetizers or sides. The dessert: Chocolate Lava cake $ 7.00 shared for party of two presented on a plate rather than traditionally in ramekin. The center filling was warm, rich and heavy in taste. Libations: Two glasses of Shiraz $ 12.00 each in large goblets with a small carafe for overage. The service: At first impression was five stars but snail slow service and gross errors resulted from poor listening skills. The waiter did not offered Parmesan cheese or pepper which my poetic friend, specifically, requested three times. I personally prefer Parmesan cheese on my Risotto. Adding salt and/or pepper to any entrée or appetizer in the restaurant industry is an insult to the chef and the chef’s cooking. The first time the waiter gave us a microscopic bottle of salt which we never requested. Second time he gave us an empty wooden pepper mill grinder which nothing came out. To confirm my assumption of being empty, I opened the wooden pepper mill grinder and it was, indeed empty, there were no peppercorns. Finally, third time’s the charm… right? Yes. With only four patrons in the whole restaurant the workflow is not entirely hustling busy but the turnaround time for our food to arrive including fresh bread, correct condiments requested, and attaining change for the bill was turtle slow!

Such a great spot in Bay Ridge. Came here for brunch with 2 other friends who had recommended it. The brunch menu offered everything from eggs, salads to sandwiches. Had the Hangar steak sandwich and it was actually cooked medium as I asked. Great drink deal– $ 15 for 5 drinks. Well worth it!

It’s Super Bowl Sunday. Start the day with some brunch. My friend suggested this place and it was certainly a great find. Olla Wine Bar doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the inside is different story. A Beautiful, cozy, and romantic feel to this place. I enjoyed the ambience. The brunch menu is only available on weekends. They also offer $ 15 for unlimited brunch cocktails. If you pay in cash, you will get 10% off the bill. I ordered the ScrewDriver. A great drink. Perfect amount of vodka and orange juice. I enjoy when my drinks are well balanced. For my brunch, I ordered the Benedict comes with a side of potatoes and side salad. Let me tell you, it was an amazing Benedict. Very Delicious. Eggs were oozing out. The bacon was great. Muffin soaked up the yolk so well. It was a perfect Benedict. For dessert, my friend and I shared a chocolate lava. It was«olla» good. The hot, sweet, melted chocolate oozing out of the cake was outstanding. In my opinion, a great place to bring a date or just a get together with friends. Perfect brunch meal.
