The wettest salad I’ve ever eaten. and I dont mean that in a good way. The cactus taco was just pickled onions. Im not sure if I would even call it «food»

OMG, it’s flipping hot in here! If you are down for a genuine south of the border experience, OMG is the place for you. I visited on a muggy 85 degree afternoon but the lack of AC and the excruciatingly slow turning lone ceiling fan in this small space made it feel at least ten degrees hotter. Ironically, the bathroom located in the back was the coolest part of the restaurant and I briefly considered remaining there for my meal. As for the food, I ordered a chorizo burrito lunch special. Once you order at the counter, you find your seats and they serve you. The lunch special includes a small additional side of rice and beans. The burrito itself was quite flavorful, the only down side being that the chorizo pieces were so small that the texture was somewhat missing. I also considered complementing my meal with a fresh squeezed juice but the prices deterred me from that. The service was friendly and I’d visit again on a cooler day.

We stopped in here for a total random visit and nearly walked back out because of the heat wave that nearly bowled us over. Somehow, it was hotter inside than it was outside(on a humid 85-degree day!) and throughout our meal, my forehead was condensating as quickly as my water glass. Issues with premenopausal hot flashes aside, our meal here was quite good. We sprung for the lunch special, which afforded us a burrito with a side of rice and beans for less than eight bucks. Big ups for the vegan/vegetarian options! I ordered the soy chorizo burrito, which arrived at the table a few minutes later with a gentle crisp on the outer edge from the flattop grilling. Inside was a heaping scoop of rice and beans with flecks of the broken up pieces of soy chorizo throughout(and a small spoonful of sour cream on the side, to which I demurred on account of my veganism and I appreciated that they had it separated instead of automatically plopping it into my burrito). Whether it was the humble amount of soy sausage that was put in or the wee sizes of each of the soy chunks, the flavor of the chorizo was hardly distinguishable from the heavy haze of rice and beans and the only true hint of the added protein was the deep red chorizo ‘juice’ that ran down my hands and plate as I plowed my way through it. I also question the redundancy of having rice and beans as a side when it already forms the majority of the burrito filling. Still, it was well-cooked — neither over-salted nor bland — and the salsa verde that they provided with our meal was KILLER. What I mean by that is that what started out as polite drizzles at the beginning of the meal eventually gave way to my creating and practically drinking massive deluges of hot sauce from my plate. Piquant, flavorful, and just a little sour at the end, this hot sauce did its work to galvanize an otherwise ‘just okay’ burrito. The service here was wonderful and prompt. The guy at the counter politely checked in on us every so now and then and thoughtfully made sure our glasses were topped off(because between guzzling it down and the rate of evaporation, it was sure going quick). There are plenty of signs that boast their BYOB status, but even if you don’t bring your own booze, there are lots of specialty drinks and fresh juices on the menu that sound promising. This was a solid 3.5 meal, and would definitely consider eating here again if we return to the area… in the wintertime.

I like to come here for breakfast when I’m hungover, or sometimes even when I’m not hungover. Great vegetarian tacos, not too sweet lemonade, fast and friendly service.

This place surprised me! Ate here because I was walking by and starving and it didn’t disappoint. Worth a try.

I’m actually a big fan of OMG taco! They are relatively inexpensive, and their sauces that come on the side are delicious. Their corn tortillas hold together pretty well. Lack of one star because they aren’t really open late, and that’s really the #1 time that I am craving a taco.

Great food for the price. The perfect stop when you’ve had a long day and need to grab something quick before plopping on the couch and zenning out.

My boyfriend and I were in the neighborhood, going to Dun Well Donuts(which is right across the street) and we wanted to eat something for lunch before we splurged on vegan donuts. This place had some good Unilocal reviews, so we walked right over. The guy working was friendly and helpful. The décor on the inside is simple, but the food is, yes, very delicious! At first, I thought the portions were a bit small, but once I finished my burrito, it was just enough food to make me happily full. I’d like to come back and try something other than a burrito to see if the food quality and just-right portion size continues with the other options.

I’m new to the neighborhood and pass by this place on my way to and from the train everyday, never giving it much thought other than quietly wondering why the owner decided to let a 13 year old girl name a restaurant. Anyway, I decided to give it a whirl one night when I emerged from the L train, exhausted and starving. There were two very indecisive customers ahead of me in line and the cashier was very informative and patient as they placed their takeout orders. After asking a few questions myself, I decided on a stewed chicken bowl. It was pretty tasty and definitely worth the $ 8. I’ve still only been once but I’d say the food is a step above Chipotle and comparable in price. I’ll definitely be going back and maybe trying one of those OMG tacos.

I’ve been eating at OMG Taco since they opened. After a shaky start, the quality of food improved and the service became quick, friendly and competent. However, the quality and consistency has been declining recently. I stopped in for a late lunch today(Sunday). Nearly all of the lights were off, but there was a cook and a cashier ready for orders. The burrito I ordered tasted pretty bland, but fine overall. Fine, that is, until I found hair in a bite. Not a hair. Hair. Like a small clump of hair. I spit out the bite I was chewing and focused on not getting sick. I returned it to the cashier guy, pointing out the clump of long black hair sticking out of my lunch. He silently took it and walked to the back. No immediate apologies or attempt to rectify the situation. It wasn’t until I grabbed my belongings and started to walk out until he shouted out, «You want another one?!» No. No I don’t.

I have no reason to give this a 5. The burrito’s are excellent and super cheap($ 6!) — they also have awesome lunch specials. My friend got tacos and elote and said they were awesome as well. I’ve been going here more frequently than Bushwick Pita Palace, I think it’s actually better…

Stumbled upon this gem while walking to the L. The food was almost as good as Mexican food from back home, south Texas. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the cook/waitress was very attentive. Even say to chat with us for a few minutes. I ordered the burrito lunch special and it was great. Although the side of rice and black beans is overkill,(since you already have a ton inside the burrito) they are so good you don’t mind the overload. Definitely worth the price tag, which is on the cheaper side. Extra points for being part of AMEX shop small merchants. Only reason I give 4 stars is because the food took a little while to come out.

Good bang for your buck. The food is decent, but they do tend to forget little details(extra side of guacamole where are you?).

Second time here and the tacos were just as amazing as last time. PROS: Got the potato, chicken and shrimp! Great! The guacamole was also great! The server was very helpful and super sweet. CONS: The server and the cook were having a long lasting battle over an order which they received a complaint about, via phone. The server left the order sitting on the counter longer than it should have been, before being delivered. The cook informed her about it but she didn’t get it, because the order still went out on time(by their standards I guess). The server and the cook argued about it for 85% of my time there, which was annoying after a while. The cook was right the order which should have gone out as soon as it was finished BUT also should have waited to argue about this shit till after we left, and the server didn’t need to make it known that they were siblings and argued at home and work all the damn time.

Need a quick snack? This place is great for that. I was over at Dun-Well donuts and had too much coffee and was desperate for a bathroom. Yes, Dun-Well makes kick-ass vegan donuts, but no where to drain your bladder. I walk outside and I see OMG Taco across the street. I think, mmm, they should have a bathroom. I walk up to the counter *princess*(I’ll explain) and she was so sweet and nice and let me use the bathroom. BTW, she was also pretty cute. Lots of tattoos, sleeveless tank and cute glasses. I came out the bathroom and then she asked if I wanted to order something. I wasn’t too hungry but did get some chips and salsa($ 2). It is a big portion, so you won’t finish it if you order tacos. The salsa is very interesting, smoky flavor and spicy, it is Oxacan style, so be prepared for moles! She was just so nice and sweet. While I was eating, she also brought over water and just was a darling, Thanks for the excellent service, good salsa, the bathroom that rescued my bladder and of course, the eye candy!

The food delivery was quick, I had the Chicken Quesadilla and I liked it,… with lots of onions on it, and pico de gallo. The chicken tasted just fine and well cooked. I tried the Shrimp Enchilada and the Chicken Enchilada, it was good. Their tacos were good too. Very nice Mexican food on Bushwick.

The good thing about this place is they deliver. They’re fast and that’s pretty much the only good thing. The tacos are hardly good. The shrimp tacos were good, but bistec… agh, i couldn’t wait to finish it so i could wash the flavor off my mouth. By far the worst tacos I’ve ever had in America, and I’ve been to Taco Bell… Also the rice was burnt. Tasted like charred metal. But it’s a nice thing they include that side with the tacos. Why get OMG Taco when you can just get Tacos Morelos? By far the most authentic tacos in Williamsburg and for a lot less. Bedford ave and North 7th.
