I had Angel the locksmith come and install new locks. He was almost 30 minutes late. He did a good job though. I gave him a small tip. Then I realized he left door shavings all over the floor. I said, «could you please clean that up?» He said, «we never clean.» Great policy! Then I had to give my credit card info over the phone. Never using these guys again. If you want good customer service, don’t bother with them.

So I visited this hardware store last night cause I needed a new caribeaner cause mine had broken it was just to hold my keys anyways I might also like to add this place is a mess I could hardly walk thru the isles without tripping when I asked an employee where said caribeaners were he looked at me strangely and asked what are those again? How do u not know I ended up finding them myself and there selection sucked but I did find a gold and blue one which were perfect size and durable and it only came out to 1.75 or some shit

Quick, kind, talented. Called to unlock neighbors door because cat was starving. They were here in 20 minutes, opened the door in three. Gave me discounted rate because of ease of job. I always use them for hardware, and as a dumb blond, I rely on their advice. Great guys all around.

A great little place, and far more convenient than hiking all the way out to Lowe’s or the Home Depot. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they’ve got a lot of stock packed into what’s a pretty tiny store.

I’ve been going here for supplies for painting and my apartment for years. They take care of the customers there– I love them. They have lumber in the basement– especially good to know if you’re one of the artists in the neighborhood. When I needed to frame a drawing fast, they cut and fitted plexi and wood for it, taking over an hour working with me to figure out the coolest looking frame for a show. There’s no way I’d have gotten that sort of start to finish service at home depot. I don’t know if they even let you make any cuts there anymore– this one project must have taken about 20 minutes worth of cutting. I can’t say enough good things about this little store.

Park Slope Hardware is located right downstairs from my office, so even if they were awful I’d likely still end up using them. Luckily they are fantastic. Very hands on, very helpful and always looking to build customer relationships.

Superb local hardware store servicing all of park slope. I go out of my way to go here. The service is terrific. Ayman, the owner, is always ready to help troubleshoot and find the necessary things you need to get the job done. I’ve had many issues resolved with one trip to Fifth Ave Hardware — from painting supplies, to key replacement, to vacuum cleaner bags, to needing the odd screw/​bolt/​nail, to air conditioner filters… you name it — these guys can help.
