We had the pleasure of celebrating our sons first birthday party here last night. There was not one thing I would change from our experience. Wait staff was incredibly courteous and helpful. We were taking pictures outside and waiters who were taking a break were making funny faces at our son so we would smile. Who does that?! That was the sweetest thing. The food was amazing. Some of our guests called today to praise the beef ribs! The décor was very classy. Very good experience. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you Passage for a wonderful night!

I went here for my mom’s 50^th birthday party and was really impressed. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the band/​DJ had people dancing. I’ve been to a number of Russian style banquet restaurants over the years but this one was one of the best. It’s pricey but I feel that it’s worth your money — our guests and my mother certainly enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed the experience of Passage last night. It was truly relaxing — food, friends and great entertainment. Among other things, I want to compliment was the service. The guys were courteous, quick and were there to help you with whatever you want. You don’t have to lift a finger to get food and drink and get treated like royalty. They changed our plates multiple times throughout the night and folded napkins every time we left the table. Truly amazing service. The entertainment band was great too. A nice selection of songs and they really made you want to go out and dance. Great interior design and lighting. The only reason I give four stars is food. Some of the dishes were better than others. Lamb chops and potatoes had so much salt, I could barely eat them. Overall, great experience and I would love to come back in the future.

very nice interior and bad food/​service.
the menu is not as promised, a lot of items been substituted by the cheaper ones (mozzarella on regular greek, ribeye steak on lula kebab), some of the salads totally different from the description or missing with no taste.
the wait staff were not helpful with serving food on plates, guests left @12am with no main course and desert been served.
too expansive .
I would never go again to this place for any reason and I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

If I can only give a half of that lone star… 100% disappointment with highly overpriced food: I can reassure you that McDonald’s or Wendy’s fries are MUCH, MUCH tastier. The lyulya was dry like a desert and lamb chops were truly microscopic. Ridiculously overpriced for such culinary fiasco! Never ever again I’ll be fooled with view and former prestige of a deteriorated Passage…

Came here for a friends birthday and was expecting a typical Russian restaurant, but I was really disappointed. The food wasn’t up to my expectations. Although the selection of food is based entirely on what banquet your host selected, the food that we did get was terrible. Shrimp salad was bland and the shrimp was really bad. The kani salad was almost unrecognizable, it was covered in sauce and was so soggy. I was one of the few people that chose to eat the bread rather than the food that was being served. The music was okay. But they started to repeat some songs which is a no no. How many times can we dance to kayfuyem? I think they played that song alone 3 times. I had better experiences at other Russian restaurants.

The food was delicious I loved the duck pâté and the shrimp salad was so good.
The singer was very good and I danced ate and drank the night away !!!

I am not always into Russian restaurants, but I actually liked this one and had a good time.
I went to this restaurant for a birthday party. The door was not easy to locate. There is a sign outside and an arrow but they lead nowhere. Had to go to the entrance on a side street and take an elevator. It was not intuitive.
The food was good. It was a pre fixed menu with lots of options. There were salads and hot and cold appetizers that were both very Russian and from other cultural influences. The crab salad and mushrooms in a taco bowl were my favorite starters.
The mains included salmon, lamb, potatoes and pasta. All were very good. My husband thought the lamb was overdone but I liked it. The meal ended with a generous amount of fresh fruit and little French desserts. The tea at the end of the meal was good too. I came hungry and was pretty happy with the food even with my dietary restrictions.
Entertainment — there were three singers that performed all night. They sang songs upon request and had a good mix of Russian, Latin, American and world music. They also did a decent job covering the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and beyond in the song selection. There was a dance floor by the stage and an opportunity to strike some moves.
There are several table options. Long tables for big groups can be set up by the dance floor or in a private room. The private room is cool. It’s hidden and hard to see it at first. It had dimmed lighting, a good view, TV and private bar. Good to know it’s there for future events.
Overall, had a good experience. Recommended.

This place really fell off. Last time I was here was about 3 years ago and came back yesterday for a friends birthday. The music was not good. Very outdated and the singer kept trying to hit high notes, pretty much gave me a headache. The food was not good either. At one point I noticed most people were choosing the bread over all the food on the table which is an issue for any restaurant. The kebabs were dry and the sauce didn’t help much. The potatoes were half oily half stale. The shrimp were chewy. The pasta tasted like it was a few days old. Hopefully won’t be coming back here anytime soon.

Pretty bad place to go to. Portions of banquet were tiny and food wasn’t any good. In simple words there was not enough food for the party. Our party started at 7pm and final dishes arrived at 12AM.
Music was anything you would hear in any other russian restaurant, old and tastless garbage from 5 – 15 years back.
They try to squeeze as many people at that tiny hall. (I’m confident its not even legal by fire department occupancy laws). It’s very hard to move around.
I would not recommend anyone to book a party at that place. Yes it’s god damn Emmons Hot Shot/​Show off avenue, and you will pay double and get twice as little than in any other place for the money.
There is no dress code at all, so some people not in our party wore dressed like total bums, imagen having a birthday party and guy in old sneakers, jeans, puffy vest and worn t-​shirt walking around restaurant.

Beware! this place will habitually and intentionally will overcharge you for items that are clearly on the menu, then will tell you that they’re slightly different at a surcharge. it happened to us 2 weeks in a row. Last week, the waiter apologized and fixed the check, last night our goony waiter played dumb even after we showed him the menu and bottle matched. We had no choice but to take it out of his tip. Once you complain and ask for the menu, they return to table with an inflated menu showing higher prices. This is deceptive, sneaky and has earned them a horrible reputation. I was thinking of booking a table for 16 on New Years Eve, instead I will now go elsewhere.

The so called «European» menu consisted only of all traditional poorly prepared American dishes with one only remnant of Russian cuisine being dill. To our pure delight and surprise the waiter was able to come up with one classic dish of fried potatoes with mushrooms (not chanterelle mushrooms!) which actually was decent enough to take the price of the best dish for the evening. Short ribs were inedible! Grilled vegetables were not cleaned and tasted bitter. By midnight the restaurant ran out of half of the items on their dessert menu.
The singers tried really hard to engage the audience and get everyone to dance but it was difficult given their choice of songs. Most of the songs were mixed and sang in unrecognized language. I will complement the youngest singer (blond hair) who not only was dressed cute and figure flattering but also sang really well.
The staff looked busy but provided sloppy service.
The whole experience was not only disappointing but purely shameful.

Went there for a friend’s birthday, have had positive experience with Russian restaurants before but did not know what to expect at this place.
While trying to figure out how to get to the dinning room from the entrance, a lady complemented the flowers I was carrying to give to the bday girl, come to realize she was the singer, she sang beautifully in English and in Russian (yeah did not rally understand a word in Russian but) should have had another bouquet to give her as a compliment for her talent singing.
The food was great, the place was very clean and upscale. And the singing was spectacular.
Planning to go back there to enjoy their food and music.

Loved the food drinks services and of course the music … The singer changed like 5 times or so into diff outfits.

I’m was there few times .Last time we got party for 30 people. Really nice place. Delicious food. Show was beautiful .

My first experience at a Russian wedding. I have to say I am very, very impressed. The space was lavish, attractive and splendid. Nice ambience and places to escape to for a moments respite.
The food was a never ending procession of dishes that were all unique and delicious. The potatoes and mushrooms and ribs were among the best and the seafood cocktail hour was also just right.
The service could not be more friendly or attentive they brought out each of so many dishes with pride as if they had prepared them themselves.
The band was very entertaining and kept people out on the dance floor with a wonderful vibe, beautiful attire and great voices.
The vodka, the tequila, oh well toasted many a happy year to the happy couple Jhanna and Marat. Hope you have many, many happy years together. Thanks for inviting me!

I celebrated my dad’s birthday here on Sunday. We chose the «passage» banquet option, which turned out to be a very good choice — a lot of variety, all the dishes fresh and flavorful, and good balance among the choices. As a non-​meat eater I didn’t try the meat, but my relatives confirmed that it was pretty good. I really liked the salads and smoked fish! The staff were very good — helpful without being intrusive.
The big negative in our experience at Passage was the LOUD music, which made it very difficult to speak to each other. Of course, the reason we chose the place was because we wanted to dance, but toasting and speaking are also part of a good party! So having the musicians pause for 15 minutes now and then would have been very welcome by our party of 20! That said, the singers and music selections were good and we had fun!

Came here for NYE party and had a really great time. They really went all out with the decorations. The show was wonderful, the singers are very talented. The only negative thing from the entire experience was the obnoxious photographer that got very upset that we didnt want his pictures (that he pushed himself on us to take and were not even good)

Went there with a group of people for a reunion. It was pretty fun.

A typical Russian catering hall setup with a big dancing floor in the middle. It was very loud and dark with a lot of drunk people. One of the singers was pretty good

Love the food (family style). Remember to try everything and save some room for the desserts.

The staff were very nice and helpful.
Make sure you dress up to go there and wear comfortable shoes for dancing.
