The store is quiet nice in terms of the shoes they have for sale and customer support you receive. Employees walk around asking if you need help and if not you can easily call them over and they will be more than glad to help you. The store sells shoes(sneakers, sandals, boots, etc.) for women, men, and children. They have really affordable prices that you can’t resist. The store is pretty big which means they have a huge variety of shoes you can choose from. A really good place for every-day shoes. The quality is good as well considering that I bought a pair of shoes from them last year and still wear it today. Worth checking out :)

I never thought I’d be writing a review for Payless… but I got such great customer service today that I felt compelled to say something about it! I just went in today for the BoGo sale. While looking at shoes, a guy working there asked my friend and I if we needed help but not in an intrusive kind of way. I actually did ask for his help finding the nude Lower East Side Chelsea flats. They didn’t have it in stock but he offered to check other stores. Couldn’t find it but I really appreciated him trying. I also had an email coupon on my phone and I was worried they would reject it. But the cashier took the code with no problem and I got it along with the BoGo deal! She was also extremely nice and friendly in a very genuine way. I was very pleased with my purchase(as I had been coveting this one pair of shoes for a long time) and so glad I checked that location out. It was also a lot less crowded than the 86th Street location.

«fa-get-about-it!» that’s what you will hear left and right. the«Guido’s»(italians with greasy slicked back hair, popped collars, gold chains, and sunglasses) like to hang outside and talk to pretty jewish, chinese, and other italian chicks. young, old, and middle aged– they do not discriminate when hitting on women. even when i’m trying on my shoes inside the store… the roaring of the Guidos never fail. «Yo… deeze guys are bustin’ ma chops hea!» or «That broad wants me!» Or if you’re lucky… sometimes they follow you inside and ask what your shoe size is. can we say, FOOTFETISH? ewww. get away. as for the the store itself… it’s decent. i’ve bought a few sandals, flats, and snowboots(which i wear every winter!!) here. the selection is slightly better because this location isn’t as busy like the other ones. i was a satisfied customer. if we could only do something about these Gotti-wanna-be scum bags.
