Amazing schwarma! All the food is fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend it.

Been going here for over 10 years. Great place for dinner or a quick bite. Not anything fancy. Owners can have attitude but its nothing to take seriously because you’ll keep coming back for the food.

I have been going to this place for a long time and I mean very long. They used to stuff my sandwich with so much shwarma that I couldn’t move after. However ever since new management came in my whole sandwich barely has meat and only taste hummus. Sad to say this place went downhill. The sad thing is that they keep raising their prices only to hardly put any meat. Freakin $ 18 for a sandwich with salad!!! What a shame this place used to rock!!! Well not anymore!!! I guess they made their money to retire and don’t care anymore about reputation.

I’ve tried many shawarma spots and nothing compares to this spot. I grew up in the neighborhood, and watch the store move from one corner to the other. The recipe and the quality has not changed. The owners are so sweet. Customer service there is great. The best shawarma you will have in Brooklyn. And I lived in Israel. The only downside is pricing. It’s really expensive. A lunch would probably run you around $ 25 if not more.

NOTGOINGBACK They must have recently made some major changes. Half the salad bar is behind glass and the man at the register is extremely RUDE. The platter I bought was half the size it used to be. I can’t stand when a place is doing things right for years and then some shmuck comes along and starts cutting corners and f’s everything up. I wouldn’t go back unless I confirmed they get rid of this new management.

Owner is very nasty to customers. Started yelling at me in front of other customers that he can«Add me to his Mortgage» when i simply asked him if i can have some sourkrout in my Falafel !!! Food is ok but im never going back with a nasty attitude like that.

Really REALLY great falafel. Very good salads too. The only reason I don’t get 5 stars is that sometimes when I go, I get my food after many people behind me in line making me feel unwelcomed. But this place does have the best falafel around, and for a good price, so I keep going back. I never regret getting it.

The staff is quick when preparing the food, and the place itself is suited nicely if you want to sit down and grab a quick lunch. This is no fancy shmancy restaurant so don’t come here thinking you’ll be seated with a waiter and everything, it’s pretty much like a food joint and has about 5 – 6 large tables that seat about 6 – 8 people each. So be prepared to make friends with a stranger on a busy day. Nevertheless, even thought the food dos taste better back in the day, It’s been my mom’s favorite Israeli shawarma place for the past 6 years since we’ve moved here to New York and she wouldn’t dare replace it, the price is moderate, be prepared to spend about $ 20 a head(a pita filled with shawarma, a drink, and side of salad are usually $ 20-$ 25). The meat is always fresh, soft and deliciously flavored. For salads I would recommend the spicy Israeli salad and the potatoe salad!

It must be the people. I’ve been here at least a dozen times. And the food has been awesome every time. The owners are really very nice. If they are curt it’s because A. They are so darn busy. They also do big takeout business. B. Because what’s to ask? The menu is short. You walk in you should know what you want. And I want and recommend the baby chicken. So if you want the best meal you’ve eaten in a long time. Walk in, order, take the salad plate and fill up. Then sit enjoy and wait for your main. If you’re disappointed it’s not because of the place or food.

I will never come back to this place, 1– took 40 minutes to get my sandwich 2– owner is rude and cheap 3– you will wait same amount of time whether there is 3 or 15 people ahead of you 4– always puts in burnt meat I waited 40min to get home and find the meat to be burnt and the sandwich which was a baguette to be literally empty. I was really Pissed because i waited all this time, and ended up with a piece of bread and tehina. I never came here and didn’t see the owner fighting with a customer. He’s known to be cheap and angry all the time. Don’t waste your TIME and money there, plenty more options here in Brooklyn

i really liked the salad bar, i usually order the felafel for $ 7 and leave stuffed from filling up at the salad bar with over a dozen items. the grumpy old man who operated the cashier is consistently rude to me despite my being such a regular customer so i dont go as often, i think he is the owner but he is always grumpy and mean. aside from the salad bar they have to 3 sauce pumps serving ambar, tehina, and ketchup. there is also a great hot sauce.

Best falafel sandwich ever! I went on the cashier’s recommendation and got the classic falafel pita. The pita itself is so fluffy and the falafels are the star of the sandwich– so fluffy and crispy. The pita had just enough crunch from the cabbage and onions so that every bite was perfect. The sweet eggplant(I think) balanced the slight spiciness from the falafel. I am definitely coming back!

Don’t know where to start with this place. First I’ll say there’s nothing else like it if it’s kind except in Israel. When I was there tonight I found out they opened a second location on 1st ave and 91 street in Manhattan. Beet salad, spicy carrot salad, red cabbage salad, eggplant salad, Israeli salad, tabouli salad is what i took out tonight and went miles out of my way to get. This is even after I ate dinner. It’s made fresh on the premises every day. There’s also falafel and schwarma and other Israeli goodies. The place isn’t too clean but I don’t care. Of course when I got home and was putting it all away for tomorrow I tasted a bit of everything. The greatest pita bread as well. The healthiest food on the planet.

I ordered here through GrubHub, and had the special Kofte in pita with 2 salads. I added fries for 75 cents, and had the fried eggplant and pickles. I added techina, and on the side, had falafel balls. The food was solid, the combination of flavors in the sandwich played off each other and balanced each other very nicely. My beef(sadly not the good kind, like the kofte kebab in my sandwich) with them is over service, or lack thereof. After submitting the order online, I check my phone and see a call from a strange number. I call that number, not knowing who it was, and ask who it is. On the phone comes a gruff, nasty, mamzer-like man who had all the charm of a retired IDF commando doling out shawarma on the street with a cigarette dangling in his mouth. He was impolite, cruel, and in his heavy accent asked«what you want?». He then puts on someone else who asks if I wanted the order I just put in and paid for on GrubHub. If I didn’t want the order, I wouldn’t have put it in. I never had any place I ordered from on GrubHub do that to me. I was terribly insulted and angered that people would emigrate to my country and prosper while treating customers like garbage. Adding insult to injury, I specifically said on the order that I was on the second floor/upstairs of the address I gave. The delivery guy(who dressed like a hood rat thug) had an attitude that G-d forbid, he had to commit the horrific atrocity of climbing a few stairs, and when I came to the door, he didn’t even come to the door, and instead I was forced to lean forward more than MSNBC in order to get my food! The way that looked, the neighbors would have thought I was a junkie getting my fix from what looked like a drug deal! I’d never order from here again. The customer service aspect is atrocious. Had the service been passable, I would have given them four stars, as the food is not bad. Between Zohan on the phone(this place sadly doesn’t serve FizzyBubbleh) and the gangster rapper delivery guy with a crap attitude, I was simply done. I want the non-Jewish customers to know that they treat Jews like me with contempt, as well. These are equal opportunity misanthropes. If you hate humanity that much, don’t be in the hospitality business.

I’ve been there a few times. The salads are very good and very fresh. I’ve tried the kofta kabab and it’s very tasty and fresh. The place is always clean, and the service is fast. I will continue to go there whenever I’m in the area.

Love this place! This is a family owned and ran business and you can taste that in the food. My favorite thing here is the chicken cutlet on a baguette bread. The cutlet is pure white meat with some sesame seeds on it. I personally like my food dry so this place is perfect for me but the only complaints Ive heard from people I have taken here or suggested to try was that the stuff might be a bit too dry. I also love their sour pickles.(they slice them to perfection and they have a perfect kick of garlic) You order a sandwich and they provide you with a plate for you to choose unlimited sides from their salad bar. They have a bunch of israeli salads and even carry a Russian style salad called Olivye(for those who know! know!) They also make this dry bread that’s fried in garlic butter and tastes so delicious. They carry a wide selection of glass bottle sodas which is a great addition to this already amazing meal. Their spicy fries are also very good. The meal will run you $ 15 – 20 dollars but you are getting high quality food and large portions. Enjoy!
