In every way a dope-ass Mediterranean place. Smokey, juicy lamb shawarma; green, fresh falafel; durable pita bread; great sauces.

Pita Pan never disappoints. It is always delicious and well-made. They are nice guys too. Definitely a favorite neighborhood spot!

It’s consistently good food and super cheap. I used to go there a lot when I was working in the neighborhood. Just went back last week because I happened to be around, and it was excellent. It’s the kind of pita/shawarma joint that I wish I had in my neighborhood.

food had gluten filled noodles mixed in with the rice and was supposed to be gluten free. Food was disgusting, sauces were watery and bland and way to many onions in everything.

It’s a small place and I’ve been coming here for years. I like there sauces and the chicken is my favorite. Prices are good. And the food is tasty. I’ll Keep coming back.

Terrible place. Very disappointing service. Food extremely bland. I ate there and ordered a lamb pita to go. It took 20 minutes! And the place basically dead!

I go to Pita Pan whenever I’m in that part of the woods(I live in Midwood). It’s all about the taste. My local turkish restaurant never impressed me with their pita sandwiches. Pita Pan does. I get a regular lamb pita, and everything about it is right — meat and sauce. Friendly staff. Not much on décor or accomodations. Added bonus — soft arabic music instead of nauseating pop. That’s it.

I called to confirm the items I wanted to eat were gluten free and said in the notes on my order that I was gluten intolerant so no pita. They called to confirm I could have rice. I said yes, rice is gluten free. When it arrived it looks amazing and I took a bite. I noticed that there were some long brown pieces in the rice that looked a LOT like pasta. I called to ask and was told the rice has noodles in it. I said noodles as in pasta? They said yes. I said I am the person who called with all of the gluten questions. when you called about the rice you didn’t mention anything about pasta IN the rice. I told them I couldn’t eat anything because of the pasta and asked them to replace it. They said they wanted me to be happy and would send over another order. It never showed up. I would not recommend to anyone with a food allergy!

One of the places that has such great food that you want to try but you are so addicted to one item and end up ordered that for the hundred time as you savor over the dozens of items you wish to try but won’t next time. The food is always fresh and made quickly to order by friendly staff who you will grow to love over time as you return to feed your addiction.

For food This place is a 3 star. Food is ok and good for a quick lunch during the week. The place itself isn’t great at all and looks pretty dirty. All of which I don’t care about but my experience there tonight just trying to ORDER our dinner was ridiculous. The guy was so rude, barely understood what I was saying(English was his second language) and that doesn’t bother me at all. But IFYOU don’t understand something you don’t have to be a rude dick about it and get visibly frustrated in the confusion. The fact that I couldn’t understand him either was frustrating but I maintained my manners throughout. I ended up walking out and won’t be back. Such a shame when something as simple as manners costs a business patronage.

The people who work at this place don’t seem to understand the seriousness of food allergies and I fell victim more than once. The food is good, but the service I’ve gotten from these guys is offensive and downright ILLEGAL. Recently I went there and ordered my food without tahini sauce because I am allergic to sesame. I also happen to be allergic to cucumber and I didnt realize they put cucumber in the yogurt sauce. I noticed it once they gave it to me and told them I was sorry but I couldn’t eat it because of my allergies. My server seemed angry at me and started to make my food again. He started to talk angrily to his coworkers, but I couldnt hear exactly what he was saying. At one point he looked at me and then to his coworker, smiled and said, «hey look». I didnt’t see what he was doing. I receive my meal and on my way out he blatantly laughs at me with his coworkers. I bite into my sandwich when I get home and I get a mouthful of cucumber. Luckily I spat it out, but I’m almost certain he did it on purpose. I’ve gotten the sandwich before and without asking there was no cucumber in it. Now, I understand miscommunication, but I made it very clear to my server what my allergies were and he put the food in my sandwich for which I had made him remake it. If you want scum like that who endanger peoples’ lives to serve you food, then go to this place. Their food is alright, but you’ll never see me in there again.

This was okay. I ordered the lamb shish-kabobs online and when I arrived I still had to wait 20 minutes for my food. I felt like the meat was very over-cooked and dry. However, it was only 6 dollars and came with pita, salad and rice. I would give it another try to see if the other dishes are better.

Yummy, fairly inexpensive falafel. I got the #4 veggie platter which came with some extras, but I couldn’t even finish the whole dish. If you’re looking for some fast, quick food in the neighborhood, this’ll be your place! They’ve got some tables inside for dine-in.

This place had great reviews and I was excited to get my falafel fix for the week. Unfortunately, I really wasn’t that impressed. They certainly didn’t skimp on the falafel, but my pita bread ended up soaked in tahini. There were barely any other vegetables inside(tomato, lettuce, etc.) and I really missed them. The sandwich was so messy and half of it ended up falling out of my soggy pita and onto my lap. I also just wasn’t a fan of the flavor of the falafel. It was tangy and lemony in a way I didn’t appreciate. Oh well, you win some you lose some.

I don’t wanna be too hard on the folks here as they were trying their best to live on poverty wages, but they were cleaning the oily vents above the grill with a towel then leaving it on the grill where they were cooking the foods. If that’s your standard of cleanliness eat here.

Been eating here for years. It’s a neighborhood staple, and it’s on the cheap side! If your doing pick up I recommend calling ahead because you can be waiting upwards of 15 min depending on how busy they are. I’ve never had a problem with the food, my main staples are the chicken kebab sandwhich, and the chicken tenders and French fries. The flavor are good and the food doesn’t taste old or oily.

Stopped in for a on the go lunch, ordered a lamb gyro & my husband got the chicken gyro, the food was ah so so I’ve definitely had better gyros before, I mean when I think of a gyro I think of a nice thick flat bread with yummy white thick sauce(lol) –no dirty thoughts– it was kind of like a chicken wrap, There white sauce was way to watery an there hot sauce was like a of taco sauce or some kind, definitely wasn’t hot my 3 y. o ate some with no problem. The lettuce was dry an the tomatoes must of been sitting for quite some time. I wouldn’t go back to this spot, I felt like I was annoying the worker by asking for napkins an a fork Blah next time I’ll run across to the diner an grab a better quality gyro platter.

Sadly the tipping point to get me to finally try this place after years and years of just walking by was that they were offering 20% off on Seamless. Oh how I wish I took the fact they were offering this steep discount as a sign. Why was I so cheap??? Cutting to the chase, I decided to try the lamb shawarma lunch special(take out) as a lot of Unilocalers seemed to like the lamb and said the lunch specials were a good very good value. Ready within 10 minutes of ordering it seemed like we were off to a good start and I was off with a nice heavy bag of food. Then I opened the bag. Inside was the saddest rolled up pita which was dry and split in many pieces. Then came the«lamb» that was solid black and over cooked /burned to the point it just crumbled in my hands. While the attached image may seem like it is too dark, it actually captures exactly what the pile of black charred meat looked like in person. Despite drowning it in the sauce they included there was no saving it. As for the rest of the dish, the rice was rice and the salad(comes with salad or fries) was small. Definitely not something I would recommend or a place I will be going back to.
