Used to love ordering from this place, but lately our orders have been getting messed up. The past 3 times we ordered, the order was wrong. This time we received a cup of dressing opened in the bag and all over the food.

After seeing so many pizzerias come and go from that spot, I can say that D’Amore is one of the best. They have a good selection, and they’re also one of the only places around to get a thin-slice sicillian. They’re also very friendly there.

Love the pizza, sauce, rice balls, etc. The food is always fresh. It’s our new pizza spot.

This branch on Avenue U is pretty big and spacious. Ordered their popular personal pan pizza($ 8.75), whiched tasted fresh and just the right amount of tangy flavor from the added basil and olive oil drizzle. The sausage roll was too bland, the dough tasted hard as a rock. Overall, will come back for their pizza only.

I’m really sick at home and ordered the first food I can keep down in 3 days from pizza D’Amore I ordered Meatball Parmigiana with pasta, Garlic Bread ‚&6 Piece Mozzarella Sticks. Let me begin with this restaurant is only 1 mile away… It took an hour and 37 minute for delivery– okay whatever. But once my food arrived it was insanely cold. The garlic bread was hard the Mozz sticks were solid and not even a touch of warm or melted the pasta was all stuck together with previously melted cold hard cheese. Simply disgusting. I am so insanely disappointed. I threw it all away. Don’t waste your time or money too many other pizza places you can order from locally.

This place does have great food but today I came here with my family for dinner and there were only 4 tables with 2 waitresses and 2 waiters. I waited for my food for 1 hour and 10 min. God forbid if this place ever had 10 tables they would be F#*#*#.2 star for their service absolutely terrible!!!

I ordered a med Pizza via Seamless with my coworker today and boy do i feel stupid. We ordered a medium pizza. We wanted extra toppings but for 4 bucks for the whole pie??? We settled on half extra cheese+ half pepperoni… fast forward to TWOHOURS later. We called the restaurant and they said they DIDNTEVENGETOURORDER. So we ordered AGAIN. Waited 45 minutes(both of us were STARVING) and then the pizza arrived. My coworker had to go downstairs to get the food(really dude?). And when we got it– It was a HOTMESS. The extra cheese was melted off the pizza and there were about 8 pepperoni slices. I called seamless JUST to check and they said the restaurant confirmed they rec’d the order. Very unprofessional. Very Sloppy + Oily food

I ordered the chicken wings because I was craving them while I was at my boyfriend’s house. The chicken wings were super crunchy but I don’t think it did my stomach any good. My boyfriend ordered the minestrone soup, I think that’s what it was called. It was a huge portion and it was good. The delivery took about 30 minutes which isn’t bad at all.

I don’t think I’ll even attempt to try new pizza spots on seamless. You guys get it right every time. I recently had the margherita pizza. PERFECT. Thanks for the free cinnamon stick. it was a perfect end to a DELICIOUS order.

I have ordered several times without issue. We waited an hour and a half for a very cold pizza. Called after one hour, they said five minutes and still took thirty more minutes. Unfortunately, this will be my last order here.

To all the low stars, I wonder why? They r awesome. If they even made a mistake they not only fix it they take care of it asap and that has happened one time to me only and they told me to keep the other pie lol who says no to free food lol. I love this place I’m calling now to order food for Sunday football and when I saw low stars with stupid comments just made me laugh since the comments ended with no info on what they did or how this did it and if they fixed it. Which I’m sure they did. U guys r A++ in my book

The service was quick, I don’t like my pizza too hot out of the oven but when it came out it was perfect. I got the chicken parm slice and the buffalo chicken slice. The ambiance is amazing and the music is awesome(authentic Italian music). I highly recommend this place for either a quick stop to eat — like I am right now — or for a nice date night dinner.

This place seriously deserves a great review after having delicious lunch for the office. This place is very consistent, they have never messed up and order and every item is packed nice and neat. You know those situations where you order something but then it gets turned over or flopped around and its a total mess when you open it?, well not with this place! I’ve tried at least three different wraps here from the Mexican fajita wrap, to the turkey wrap, bruschetta wrap with veal or chicken and d’amore wrap and they have never let me down in terms of taste and quality, portion or price. They all are served in a neat container with pickles and coleslaw and they are extremely filling. The sandwiches are also solid on Panini bread where it isn’t too light or heavy, it really hits the spot. I also was eyeing my coworkers eggplant parm wrap which had the perfect amount of cheese and marinara sauce with yummy Italian hero bread. I also love the square pizza and mini personal pizzas, however I am taking a star off because the prices for the pizza pies are way too expensive, they charge tons for toppings or the special pies that already come with toppings end up costing over 20 bucks! however the single slices are solid, they are really large and not stingy on the cheese and the sauce has a sweet hint to it . It is so easy to place an order, they take cash or cards over the phone or via grubhub, when I write specific instructions they actually read it[lots of other places via grubhub ignore my special requests], or if they run out of something they are nice enough to call me to offer other options. I have also never waited long for my order to arrive, and overall the staff from the restaurant are very friendly. I look forward to trying the appetizers and entrees from here for dinner and I would even use them for catering,

Definitely not like the location in mill basin. We ordered the filet of sole $ 30. Came with a spoonful of broccoli rabe and a few potatoe croquettes. The sole was bland. The potatoe croquettes looked a little burnt and the broccoli rabe was way too salty. The linguine with clams tasted average and the linguine wasn’t al dente as requested. The baked clams and calamari looked like they came out of box. They both tasted a little too salty also. The pizza looked good but again it seemed a little too salty. If it was just me I’d chalk it up to off night but everyone had the same feedback at the table. Definitely not like the location located in Mill basin. The only good thing worth mentioning was the attentive service.

The pictures speak for themselves. What you see there is an extra cheese pizza. Apparently they thought I meant throw a bunch of gross oily cheese on a soggy piece of pita bread. They also forgot to add a crucial part to a slice of pizza, THEFREAKINGSAUCE. Honestly, I’ve never been so angry to write a review on Unilocal but this pizza was so terrible I specifically made an account to warn everyone. DONOTEATHERE. You can find a better slice literally ANYWHERE in Brooklyn. Hell, 7⁄11 pizza isn’t bad compared to this. YOUHAVEBEENWARNED.

Although this is usually my go to neighborhood pizza spot. Today was horrible due to the poor handling of customer service by the girl who answers the phone for delivery. She asked several times what street? I said Batchelder street, how do you spell it she asked? Really? Look out the window it’s right on the corner? She said 30 – 45 minutes for delivery, an hour later I call she said oh it’s out for delivery, 30 minutes after that I call again she said«what’s the address again? What’s your phone number again? Oh I got it wrong»…Finally she said I’ll call the delivery guy and let him know. Food comes cold and one of the dishes was wrong. Wasnt calling back, we were starving at that point. Very disappointed today.

This was a great place to have lunch on a Friday afternoon as my husband and I took a day off to spend time together. He had the bbq chicken pizza and I had a chicken and cheese calzone. Both were so good! Definitely my kind of place, I love NY pizza but Im not a fan of hole in the wall restaurants regardless of how good their pizza/food has been for years. Don’t get me wrong, I love a casual setting but even better when the place is clean and nice and not cluttered. Doesn’t have that fast food feeling. But service is prompt enough if you are in a hurry. Complimentary focaccia bread was so good as well with marinara and olive oil baked on. Its close to the Sheepshead Bay United Artists movie theatre as well. Just a few minutes away driving. Cant wait to be back and trt something different.

Okay, not the best Italian food. Can really taste the heavy use of garlic. The pizza was kind of too heavy on bread, not enough sauce and cheese. The calamari and baked clams appetizers were pretty good though. The garlic bread they gave for the table was actually really good. I also really enjoyed the dessert we had. I give the rustic feel and aura of the place a 100%. Would come back maybe to try something else but not for a while though.

I’ll compare this location of Pizza D’Amore to other local pizzerias rather than bash them for not being exactly like the classy Mill Basin location. I order through Grubhub – entrees and rolls – and a polite young man delivers them quick. The food comes hot and delicious, in sturdy(reusable!) plastic deep-dish containers not flimsy leaky aluminum. Salad or pasta comes with entrees. Usually pizzerias make you order salad separately. I love the variety of pasta choices(spaghetti, linguini, fussilli, ziti, rigatoni, fettuccini, capellini, whole-wheat penne) compared with typical pizzerias(just spaghetti or ziti). D’Amore cooks all the pastas right, slightly al-dente. Pizzerias generally overcook pasta. I usually get pasta primavera on angel hair, exactly the same recipe and ingredients as in Mill Basin, delicious. The rolls are oversize and automatically come with sauce, included in the price. One roll from D’Amore is filling enough for my man-size family members. From anywhere else they need 2 rolls apiece and have to ask specially for sauce. And the soups, e.g. pasta e fagioli(so good!), are also very large and filling. One soup with a side salad can be a meal. I think the pricing is commensurate with the portion sizes and quality of the food. Definitely a keeper!
