Pizza Den

Love this place! I live closer to other (fairly disgusting) pizzerias and I travel about 8 city blocks to this one to get my slices! Pizza Den has me spoiled! Haha Delicious pizza and good seating. I always get a side of garlic knots because… Well… Who doesn’t like garlic knots?! Yum! Beef patty with cheese is also delish! They have a big variety of items in the menu. There’s something for everyone. Staff is friendly and efficient. No complaints! Keep up the good work Pizza Den!

Mmm I love pizza. The pizza here is greasy and cheesy. It is not the best but it definitely does the job. I always get pepperoni on top so its extra greasy — blot it with a tissue.
Rice balls are also very good!

I have been a customer of Den Pizza for many years now, and I can say that in most visits or ordering from them the food was good. I cannot say that their food is amazing, or like nothing I had before, but I can say that it is OK, fresh and you know exactly what you get, no bad or amazing surprises. And the Rice Ball special is something that I can eat on any given day.
The only thing that bother me sometime is that their Pizza can be little mushi. I always ask them to leave it extra time in the oven, hoping this time it will come out little extra crispy, but it never working. So I decided to stick to their rice ball.
The food is OK, the staff are OK, and the place is OK.

Grew up here hanging out in this pizzeria at least 2 – 3 days a week. Was our meeting spot back in the teen days. Pizza was good but might’ve only liked it cause I hung out there lol

Very delicious and convenient pizzeria! I highly reccommend this place over the other 2 that are in the area simply because it tastes like authentic Brooklyn pizza (yes, grease is good on pizza.) My only concern is that the place is often really hectic and it’s hard to hear sometimes when placing an order. But at least the pizza is of high quality so there are no real complaints there. Definitely drop by here!

Really good pizza spot on Bensonhurst. A lot of varieties to cure your munchies. Staff can be impatient sometimes but it’s Brooklyn so what do you expect… Place looks dirty when you sit down and eat, but the foods quality. Buffalo chicken pizza is bomb.

I can’t eat wheat, so I can’t vouch for most of their food. My family likes their pizza and the occasional spinach roll when we’re out for a walk. I tried the mussels marinara once — it was expensive and bad. The seafood was so overcooked that it had that crock-​pot texture and had turned the sauce bitter. It was nearly all mussel shells, and the huge chunk of bread it came with was not able to fill me up. Forgive me if I am wrong, but i think it was around $ 14 for a half loaf of bread and some red sauce.

Right next to the 18^th Ave subway station! Easy to spot and I believe they have free delivery.
The cooks at the counter are nice people but can get impatient. Hmm…
However,
this place is so cheap ($ 2.5/slice) and their pizza is HUGE and YUMMMM
I ordered the pepperoni pizza here. It is thin, just the way i like. Even the crust is thin and crisp, which is the only kind of crust I’d eat (instead of throwing it away)
It was oily, but the flavor stays and makes an impression.
Def would come back if I live nearby. Too bad i’m just visiting!

One of the best slices of pizza in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, hands down. Feels like a real old Brooklyn pizzeria, not to mention it’s been around for ages.
The staff doesn’t have to be all smiles for you to grab a quick slice at the counter, they get the job done, usually fairly quickly
Small place, hard working employees, and perfect cheesy crispy crusted goodness.
P. S. They make the best fresh mozzarella slice and garlic knots around.
They are also open till around 3am in the warmer months.

I just want to say, I have been to Pizza Den many times and happen to be a big fan of their rice ball special, but the poor management has made me decide never to come back again. The first few times I was here, I had to wait at least 15 minutes for the rice ball special. So I decided to start calling ahead of time so they could make it. The first time I called, they messed up on my order and gave me regular rice balls. The second time, I called to order a rice ball special, 2 slices and garlic knots 10 minutes before I arrived. When I got there, The riceball special was ready, but they were confused as to what I had ordered. I was asked twice to repeat my order; they hadn’t put the pizza in the oven yet and I was told they didn’t have garlic knots and that I had to wait 5 minutes. After waiting 5 minutes, the garlic knots still weren’t ready and the pizza was still not in the oven. It took a total of about 30 minutes before my entire order was ready. It SHOULD NOT take 20 minutes to make garlic knots. When I finally got a chance to eat them, the garlic knots were UNDERCOOKED and SOUR. They either put vinegar in it, or the garlic went bad. I will not be coming here again. There were 5 workers and the place was pretty empty, but they managed to forget my order and then take 30 minutes to make it.

Not the best slice you’ll ever have in your life. The food is mediocre and the staff is unfriendly most of the time.

I dont know why this joint has so many good reviews, as I have nothing good to say. 1^st, everywhere 2 pizza slices+soda is $ 5, here it cost me $ 6.25. One slice came from the oven, 2^nd from the tray and it was cold… neither one tasted good.
Just for price rip-​off I would not go back with so many pizzerias on 86^st.

Right near the train station — and old-​school REAL Italian (young) dudes slinging up slices of «Regular», Sicilian and (best for us) «Grandma» slices.

No ambiance — (but there is a unisex restroom for customers only) and stools at the counter.
I will try a hot platter next time. The slices are A-​OK!

OK BUT THESE GARLIC KNOTS THO
Only place in the neighborhood that gets them right. Drenched in olive oil and herbs; ask for extra garlic.
Also: open til 1am.

I order from here regularly because it’s close to where I live.
The pizza here is good and they’re open til late. But when you take it to go, their pizza comes to you warm and it’s not as good :(
Other than that, this place is pretty good and their fresh mozz pizza is AWESOME!
Must try if you haven’t already!
OOH! and make sure you order a beef patty with cheese ;)
