The pizza is actually kinda tasty… once you get past all the oil. I’ve had the regular cheese and pepperoni pizza. I’ve read other reviews saying that the pizza has gotten worse since they switched owners… I just started eating here, so I know nothing about that. For only $ 1.50 to $ 2.00 a slice, the pizza has a good amount of cheese and sauce. Nothing spectacular, but not horrible. It’s just the grease. I have to dab it off with at least two napkins. Eh, some people might like that, but that’s not for me. I must say, the staff are friendly.

they raised the price, and new owner. the pizza sucks ass. never will i go again. where are you neil(ididnt know the heavy guys name) but now i do!!! where are you neillllll neill!!! you have the best pizza in the area period. i was willing to pay 2.50 cause for 2.50 i get crap. you had it for $ 1 and knew how to make good pizza. aside from the downtown brooklyn pizzeria with the huge slices years ago… this is a tragedy hence the caps !

This review absolutely breaks my heart because I loved the old owners pizza so much. But alas, that is no more. Neil the last owner was a buddy of mine had 30+ years pizza experience, and that was clear in the quality of the pizza. The new owner has ZERO pizza experience. This I know from friends and the fact the pizza is absolutely disgusting. Really cheap ingredients and cheese. I guarantee he buys the cheapest cheese and sauce he can from restaurant depo. The pizza is always old because the place is always empty and if you don by chance stop in when its fresh its soggy and taste of cardboard. Its soggy. On top of that its now $ 1.50 instead of $ 1 and that would be cool if the quality didn’t plummet. but thats besides the point the pizza is gross and this place is always empty. He will be begging to sell the place like neil was in a few months i have no idea how he pays the rent or why he thought he could replace 30+ years experience with zero. don’t waste your time. WEMISSYOUNEIL!

Not bad, pretty good for the price. Sauce is good, cheese is good. The man handed it to me cold though. Not as good as 2 Bros but better than Jimmy’s.

This definitely isn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but for $ 1 for cheese and $ 2 for specialty, this is one of the best deals around. I had to cleanse my taste buds after eating shitty pizza in Chicago so as I was exploring the area decided to duck in here. I ate a slice of cheese and slice of Hawaiian, total damage was $ 3 with tax included, or not cared about, whichever is fine with me. The pizza itself isn’t anything to write home about, but it also isn’t terrible. The ingredients taste reasonably fresh and the pizza is cooked well. At $ 1 a slice for cheese, there really isn’t anything anybody should be complaining about.

**CASHONLY** It’s a dollar a slice. How can you go wrong and why the hell would you complain for that price? It is what it is. No gourmet ingredients. If you feel like a dirt cheap slice, this might be your spot! This is definitely 2 – 3 star pizza but for a dollar/slice, I gotta raise it up to 4 stars!

This is honestly my favorite pizza in NYC, not just my favorite cheap pizza. I think it is honestly as good as it gets. You will be skeptical when you walk in but, trust me your not going there for the ambiance your going there for the delicious pizza.

Solid slices, a buck fifty for cheese. they don’t stay open terribly late though.

I’ve been to a LOT of pizza places in New York. I assumed this would just be another one. Honestly, appearance wise, with all it’s gaudy signs advertising cheap prices it looks much like the literally thousands of other pizza places that you’ll find on every other block. But get this, the pizza is Amazing. It’s JUST right. And you can get a large for only $ 8. I swear my friends, this place is a diamond in the rough. Only complaint: No parmesan.

This is the best pizza you’ll find in the Bushwick area(I know it’s in Williamsburg). It’s super cheap(2 slices and a drink for $ 4) and the pizza is really good. It’s thin and crisp, with tasty ingredients. The overweight Italian guy running the place adds to the flavor. I used to be a regular when I worked in the area and he’d often let me have any slice I wanted for the same price as a plain slice. If you’re tired of getting ripped off at Roberta’s, pay a visit down on Flushing.

Seriously? This is not too far from 2 bros pizza in the taste dept, but it ain’t a dollar. Too expensive for what you get.

Finally found a pizza joint in Bushwick with great old-school pizza. Thin crispy crust, fresh slightly sweet tomato sauce and good cheese, not that greasy, chewy stuff that seems to be everywhere. Not Roberta’s or Saranghina but great boardwalk-style pizza and great value!

I bike around this area now and finally have discovered a legitimate pizzeria. The slice is on the crispy side; however, it is not burnt. The cheese is not chewy and does not slide off, like you can expect a cheap slice. Sometimes bad cheese is like chewing gum without flavor. The sauce is very good and sometimes there are little chunks of tomato. The owner is a cool dude with lots of pizzeria experience. He said he had hot dishes but the neighborhood didn’t buy anything more than $ 6 for lunch. Too bad. It’s too bad that one has to choose Pizza Hut, next door, to save money.

Good slice, more on the thin crispy side with a good sauce. Highly recommended.
