Before watching a Brooklyn Nets game, I was hungry and decided to eat 2 slices. Pizza was Great and so was the service. Descent prices as well.

I stopped into Pizza Town after feeling unfulfilled at a happy hour near by. The warm cheesy smell drew me in. They didn’t have a large selection, so I went with the classic cheese slice. It was yummy and had a nice crispy crust but nothing out of this world. It’s a great place for groups. They have a spacious seating area, clean bathrooms and a finished space.

So here I have been thinking for the last five or seven times that I have checked into this pizza store that I was checking into the right one, hell I even looked at the map to be sure the blue dot was shining right in front of the store; guess that was all wrong or could have been a Unilocal problem were they deleted the original and had to recreate another one. What ever the problem was only a snafu on Unilocal could make this happen. So what is this amazing pizza store all about? Is this a authentic high end store that will amaze the crap out of you? No! Is this a store that will remind you of the Italian farms where the tomatoes were picked from and used to create the sauce? No. Is this the store that will have you coming back like the dollar pizza store everyday? No. Is it a neighborhood store that produces adequate food with a price that is relevant to this area? Hell Yeah! Nothing about this place will make you come here over and over again like you must. It is a great pizza store that have several different items that they sell where for lunch most go there when they may need something different. They sell zeppolis, meatball subs, beef patties, pizza(duh!), cappuccino(really…why?), and other variety of food items you find at local pizza stores now a days. The times where pizza stores used to have very authentic pizza, may ten or two different varieties, with some great garlic bread seems to be being replaced with local stores that offer so many different items that authenticity seems to dissipate out the door. Not to say all their items are bad or authentic, but it just strikes me as that. The pizza is really just a bummer. If I am paying $ 2.75 for a slice I want wow. Not the wow that will have me flying because that will not be $ 2.75 at all more like $ 5, but something that makes me say«Oh hell yeah!» with every bite. It can be the sauce, the cheese, the bread, or even the crust but something. With their pizza it is pretty normal, with a crust that is not that big or overly crunchy; just has the right levels to it. The sauce is nothing special, but with preference I wouldn’t even have the sauce on it sometimes(yeah I am a weirdo lol). The zeppolis are my favorite thing in there. They are soft, has a little crunch, and with the right amount of powder sugar it is just tantalizing but even that they will mess up sometimes(SMH!) But it is highly recommended by me for sure… the guy who is rating it 4 stars but talking all this crap. The beef patties for some weird reason adding cheese will make the ground meet taste pretty liquidy, not saying it was bad but what is the meat even made of that cheese will do that to it haha. The meatball sub was sub-par at most, with no flavor on the meatball at all nor the tomato sauce. The meatball were some what juicy and the bread was crunchy; which at this point is their strength to me I think haha. Overall i think of this place as a 3.5 stars haha. However, they will need to do better soon because two blocks away an Artichokes pizza store just opened up, Now of course artichoke is hella expensive so why not just keep coming here instead of wasting that money for that pizza store? Just imagine a artichoke pizza if you ever seen one, and now think about the question again haha. But that doesn’t mean this place is going to go down that fast. Yes the people in the evening seems to go toward more at Artichoke than here, but that doesn’t mean everyone here has Artichoke money so there will always be customer for them. Plus, with a lot more option they have more to offer than Artichoke, but that does limit the taste factor I mentioned. They also have a lot more seats which is a plus haha. They even have the front window doors open up during the summer where people can enjoy the breeze as they are eating. So they definitely have some strong suits that can help them be better, are they utilizing it is the question? Their customer service skills are not terrible either so I don’t see why their food have to be mediocre with the price they are charging. But hey I am just a Unilocaler, what do I really know right?

The pizza was fresh and delicious. Well made. The kids enjoyed it too. The restaurant was cleaning and the seating was decent. The only downside was the leaking ACs that kept dripping water as the patrons were eating. Also, one of the pizza makers was also cashing at the register. He wore no gloves and kept going from the register to serving. The other person served me and did not touch my food so that a relief. This is not good sanitary conditions.

I’ve been coming here since 1989 when I was 6 years old. In early 90s, I was able to get 2 plain slices AND an order of 6 Zeppoles for $ 3. I’m 32 now. This place will always have a special place in my heart. 90% of the times I was there with my father in late 80s/early 90s they played«After The Love Is Gone» by Earth, Wind, and Fire. Memories! And everytime I come back they always ask about my father. That goes a very long way with me. I love them. They are like family. A couple of the dudes who worked there in ’89 still work there now. The staff is great and the pizza is equally good. Honorable mention for their zeppoles, which are some of the best I’ve ever had.

When you are in the mood for a slice pizza town works. Its not a fancy place or a brick oven specialty place. Its a pizza by the slice old school pizza place. The sauce is good, the crust is not super thick or too doughy and they don’t eff up the crust. Thats all i want.

Growing up as a kid in Park Slope, Pizzatown was always my favorite place for a slice. However I went about 3 years ago and I was slightly disappointed. The pizza just wasn’t good in my opinion. I went the other day just to see if it was really as bad as it seemed 3 years ago and was surprised by how good I enjoyed it! I tried the buffalo chicken pizza with garlic knots and I was happy to admit that both were very delicious. I’m glad they changed things up a bit for the better. I’ll definitely go back in the future!

Walked in here randomly. Had a slice of Pepperoni for $ 2.75 which was straight out of the oven as they had just opened. The flavor was really good and they didn’t overkill with the sauce. I enjoyed it but i gave it a 3 because all the toppings kept falling off with each bite. I would go back there and recommend it for a good slice. Restaurant and bathroom seemed clean.

I enjoyed the pizza here, Ive come here often and it’s my mom’s favorite so I come here more than expected. To me, it is just a typical pizza joint but the pizza is a good size and thickness, not too doughy and just the right amount of crunch. There was a nice variety of pizza and pizza toppings. My son got a beef patty with cheese which was pretty good too, despite that fact they are pre-made and bought by the store. I also had the opportunity to try the chicken roll which is usually the benchmark for pizza joints for me. The chicken roll was fresh, tasty and the sauce was good… gotta have the extra sauce, without that, just isn’t the same. ** Liked the fact that fresh basil was available, would have been better if it was a complimentary topping as is the garlic, pepper, and cheese.

Slices are expensive for the amount of flies floating around the pies. Tasted stale.

Pizza is when pizza anywhere you go. It’s pretty hard to mess up a slice but believe me I’ve had bad before! I Came Here On Recommendation. I was told they had a really good slice. I was skeptical since it was an ordinary pizza place and the person was probably just really hungry lol. When i walked in i was surprised to see it packed. mostly with typical park slope stroller mom’s that just picked up their kids from school. I mean, that has to mean something right?! I walked up to the counter and they had all types of delicious looking pies. I especially love the slices that are stuffed. I settled just for a regular slice this time. I always tell every pizza place to make mine extra well done. I like my pizza crispy. I have the admit, the slice was pretty damn good. It wasn’t paper thin. It had a thickness to it, but not doughy thickness, they made it well done just the way I like it. I would definitely come back to try the other delicious slices they have displayed!

Big Fan of this place because I grew up around it. I was just in today to get some good greasy pizza and have the cheese melt off! What is better than that! I know a lot of people don’t like the grease, but there are few like myself that love it. I don’t love the garlic knots either but the pizza is pretty good and the service is really nice.

My family and I have been eating at Pizza Town since before I can even remember. We’ve lived in the area my entire life and when we walk in it always feels like family! If you’re comparing this place to the higher end Italian restaurants in the area, of course it won’t compare because it’s your basic, family owned, Brooklyn pizza spot. No fancy brick ovens, definitely not gourmet, but freaking delicious! Awesome food, not just pizza. LOVE their chicken parm! The newest thing on the menu is their vodka slice… OMGLOVE! Thin crispy crust, vodka sauce, and fresh mozzarella… YUM! My slice of choice every time I go. I know the review may seem biased since I’ve been going their since birth basically lol… but trust me I’ve tried so many different pizza spots around the city and I really haven’t found anything that compares. I just love Pizza Town!

I live a couple of blocks away and only go here when I’m supper hungry and in a clutch(I used to go here a lot pre renovation). The pizza doesn’t stand out at all on sauce or portion a lot of times it’s pretty greasy. The garlic knots are too doughy, the zepolis are decent. This place is cash only with an atm inside. The only thing really decent here is the seating area(it is great for a big crowd). +seating area –cash only –garlic knots –doesn’t stand out

This was my spot for Italian ices for years, but they also make a decent slice. There is nothing fancy about it at all, but the pizza looked fairly fresh. There is plenty of seating and its a good place for a quick cheap bite.

I was in Brooklyn for the Nets game at the Barclays center and wanted a quick snack before I went in and got an order of zeppoli, it was decent, but nothing close to the ones you get at the street fairs which come out fresh and juicy. Plenty of seating and other things to choose from such as pasta, pizza etc.

Apparently their«Grandma Pizza» is really good as it has a great sauce. They pre-make the pizza but don’t cook it until you order it so that it’s fresh. –Grandma Pizza: So this is basically mozzarella, basil and tomato sauce atop a flatbread hard crust. When there is a taste, it’s okay but most of the time I feel like I’m just chewing hard cardboard crust. FINALVERDICT: nope. Another skip.
