This store sells quality and very good at it. They pay attention to what a customer needs. Their seasonal goods are second to none. Nonetheless, they light up the renowned Dyker Heights with their AMAZING Christmas lights, trees, you name it they have it. I go there first before I go to the other well=known named hardware stores.

Polstein’s is a wonderful neighborhood hardware store for finding all of those miscellaneous items you can’t find anywhere else. Awhile back, I needed the plastic coated utensil holder for inside my dishwasher. No other store had it, but Polstein’s saved the day! I do hope they keep this item in stock. I was there today for another item and it was a pleasure, as always. Prices are reasonable and the customer service is terrific!

I’ve been coming to the store for years. While they might be on the pricey side, they are very helpful. Many times I need a small part for something and I’ll bring it in and they have just what I need. They will explain how to install it and make sure I understand. I’d rather shop in my local store then run to the superstore only to find out what I just purchased was restocked and is missing pieces.

price gouging on generators when people are suffering !! greed will get you nowhere!!! please call 1−800−771−7755 to report these people! they charged me $ 1000. for a $ 300 generator !!!

Please enjoy our endless holday season hold music (in July). Called looking for a tool and, with no words from the clerk, was put immediately on endless hold. Apparently they recruit from cable companies for customer service personnel.

These folks have just about everything you could need, including a ton of seasonal items, and they also have a small section of art supplies and furniture which is decently stylish & well built. But the staff makes the difference when shopping here: they’re friendly and helpful, and full of in-​depth professional advice– If you need help with a project, do yourself a favor and speak to one of the staff. They’ll save you time and money by making you sure things the right way the first time.

Fantastic store. The name says «hardware» but they’re more like a mom & pop department/​hardware store. They have almost everything home-​related you can think of and the service is top notch. You really get a friendly-​neighbor treatment and feel taken care of. Highly recommended especially if a place like Sears or Home Depot are too much of a trek for you. Polstein’s is within walking distance from home for me and it’s really a blessing. Oh, and they’re open 7 days/​week.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Walking distance from my house. This is a great place with really good service. They have the kind of service you just don’t get at those huge whorehouse stores. They always have what I need and it’s just a great place.

Love my neighborhood store that sells all sorts of home stuff and odds and ends.
Keys made? — You got it.
Spray Paint? — Yup.
Mop? — Of course.
Tools? — Actually a big section on its own.
Fabric Dye I needed? — To the rescue.
Power Lawn Mowers? — Seriously, they have them outside.
Helpful staff on top of everything they sell.

Needed a new shower head, got it with no problems. Good neighborhood spot for things like that. They also sell seasonal items they they bascially give away after the specific holiday or season has passed.

This place is pretty decent sized for a local hardware store. I’ve come in here a couple of times for keys or other odds and ends. Prices aren’t has cheap as Home Depot but if you want something quick or just don’t want to deal with the long lines it’s not a bad second option.
