It’s faster to connect with an airline’s customer service representative than calling to order. They actually have a dial menu: to place an order press two, followed by an obnoxious waiting never-ending music.

Could I give this place zero stars? We placed a catering order to serve nearly 100 people two weeks in advance, for 12:30PM pick-up. At 11:30AM the day of the occasion, the restaurant called and left a voicemail to say they weren’t sure about the order. They blamed the fact that the person who took the order was no longer in their employment.(Excuse #1 — A business should be prepared for such an event.) I could not return the call for an hour, because I was driving to Brooklyn to retrieve my order, by which time they’d left a second voicemail. When I returned the call at 12:30, they said they had already called 3 times from early morning.(Lie #1 — I only had 2 missed calls, and the first hadn’t come until 11:30.) They told me they would start preparing my order and have it ready in 15 –30 minutes.(Lie #2 — It took them well over an hour, and I’m sure they knew it would.) They didn’t even put the garlic knots into the oven until after 1:30. They blamed the computer, because their system is set to print catering orders the morning of the order, and they do not look ahead the day before.(Excuse #2 — What business operates a catering services and doesn’t make every effort to ensure they have necessary supplies and staff on hand and time scheduled to manage their regular business in addition to catering orders?) Then, they explained to me that it was my fault, because I didn’t call back after they had called me 5 times!(Lie #3 — Remember, they only called twice beginning at 11:30, and had already lied, saying they’d called 3 times from early in the day? Excuse #3 — How could their lack of adequate processes and preparation, which caused the problem, possibly be my fault?) While we waited well over an hour in the restaurant, patrons queued up to 6 deep to order, and most complained about their long wait times. Obviously, they didn’t have enough staff to handle a lunch rush and make a catering order at the last minute, even though they had two weeks’ notice. The compensation we were offered for almost being late to our own event: 2 free pizzas. The food was good enough, though the quantities suggested per person were quite small. Quite embarrassingly, we ran out of food, even though we had fewer people in attendance than we told the restaurant we would have when we placed the order. I do not intend to patronize this restaurant again for dine-in, take-out, or catering. I suggest you do the same.

I ate there yesterday, the pizza was amazing. Try the alfredo! The coffee was great too, usually café coffee is aweful. They also let me sit there for several hours(of course buying more food as I did) using my computer.

My kid was gaga for the pizza on the daily. Mind you, my kid never eats a thing. The pizza looks and smells awesome. At only $ 2.72 per slice($ 2.50+ tax) for regular cheese pizza. They have quite the selection of pizza, salads, pasta and sandwiches. The place itself is pretty small, so of you’re looking to done in, be prepared to wait for a spot. Probably squeeze up to 35⁄40 if every seat was taken. Service can take a few minutes too but they are ok.

I thought the pizza here tasted generic, like those out of he box supermarket freezer pizzas that you pop in your oven at home. I’m not sure what they put in the dough of their pizza, bit it is no good. Service here was no good. The counter-boy was aloof and seemed disinterested in taking my order. On the whole this place seems only interested in creating profit while providing little value.

I tried Pomodori on a recent afternoon, around 4 pm. The establishment was empty, for the most part, but nonetheless, the dining room seemed sleek, modern, and clean, attributes one rarely associates with a kosher pizzeria. Pomodori isn’t just any other kosher pizzeria. There is attention to detail here; I sampled the stuffed pizza and the vodka slice on a recent visit. The stuffed pizza had a good array of vegetables, and while I would have liked more mozzarella, the crust was pleasantly oily with a toothsome crunch, while the vegetables were tender, fresh, and had a very faint garlic flavor. The vodka slice was good, and the crust bore the same qualities as that of the stuffed pizza, although I feel fresh mozzarella and a sauce with more cream would have made this pizza sublime. I was appreciative that the cashier acquiesced to my request for a cup of grated parmesan cheese, which complemented the vodka slice well, and while the prices were atrocious($ 12 for 2 slices and a Snapple?), the quality was evident. The menu offers macaroni and cheese, pesto penne, and other specialties indicating that this establishment offers a slightly higher-end pizza/dairy Italian option in a neighborhood where kosher quality dining is often in scarce supply.

Pomodori was disappointing. It seemed to be the place for a fancy pizza in my neighborhood, and I was looking forward to some really good stuff. I was just disappointed. The pizza was not bad pizza, but for the price, it was a bad deal. You can go with a much cheaper place in the area and get a similar quality of pie. Haven’t tried their sandwiches or calzones, but I won’t be coming back here for pizza.

Pomodori is the caliber of eatery that you don’t expect to find in Crown Heights. Great high end pizza, a tad pricey, but if you want something cheaper in the area you will probably regret it. Fast delivery is a plus. They also have a salad bar and other pizza place stuff, but their pizza is their calling card, by far. Not to thin, not to thick… also have great cajun fries.
