I thought I gave a review. Either it got taken off or I forgot. Anyway it was on 12/20/2015 I was there today with my friend. We were disappointed. There was also a lady complaining to the guys. She waited for a long time for her meal and also said a couple of guys just standing and talking. She had to ask for her money back and left. The other person in front of me wanted mash potatoes. They didnt have. Cashier said«we have everything else except for mash potatoes. My problem was that my friend wanted the new pepper barrel tenders but they said they dont have. So we just ordered the $ 5 box deal. I asked for rice with red beans. They dont have. I also wanted to add half gallon ice tea. They also dont have. There was a lady working there had to go out to the bank to get change. Once I got my food I found out they didnt give me any utensils, ketchup, and napkins. It was a bad experience. I want to give feedback on but the problem is that there is no store # and the phone number also got cut off on the receipt. Please have a district manager or someone to take care of that restaurant.

I usually don’t like to write reviews for fast food places, because what do you really expect from them? But after sitting on the couch watching a Popeye commercial, and hearing about all the seasoning they put on the chicken, and how it has so much of a kick, I had to give it a try. So I lost my parking space in Park Slope, so you know I really wanted chicken, because parking is horrible! And drove to bay ridge. There was one girl working! She was the one taking the orders, handling money, and then putting the food in containers, so the wait was long. I also didn’t like all the chicken just sitting there. But I ordered anyway, I did just lose valuable parking, I got the chicken strips which I seen on the commercial, mash potatoes, and macaroni & cheese. What a huge disappointment! Where was all the flavor they talked about? Because the chicken was dry as hell! And had zero flavor, they couldn’t ever get the sides to taste good. Never again! If I want fast food chicken I will stick to KFC at least their chicken has some type of seasoning on it.

One of the worst Popeyes in Brooklyn, monkeys at the zoo would have done a better job working there. Cashier with attitude, manager who didn’t give a ****, etc. Took well over 20 minutes for a thigh and drumstick. No fork, no napkins, no nothing, had to go back on line again and waited just to get those. But despite the horrific service, the food was amazing.

The service is aggressively bad here. The manager was working behind the counter and only had 2 tickets at the time. It took well over 5 minutes to expedite«tickets 71 and 72». The cashier, Hassan, was taking a delivery order while a long line formed. The manager kept his back to everyone. After over 10 minutes, we were finally able to order. We order 2 spicy tenderloin meals with fries and a biscuit, and 1 pecan pie. 1st, we get overcharged an extra pie which they don’t say but just serve us. We decline the pie and they take it back without offering to rectify the charge. 2nd, we receive no fries, just double biscuits. 3rd, we don’t receive the hot honey sauce that the meal is advertised to come with. With service like this, it’s a wonder the location is still in business.

This Popeye was the absolute worst. Manager was extremely nasty with paying customers, and the fish and shrimp was cold and rubbery.. It is little wonder that the burger king which shares same space is packed, and this popeyes is empty. Good was discussing.

The people preparing food and packing into the boxes do not wear gloves. And they also touch the food with their hands.

Considered the better of the two, this Popeye’s retail location is conjoined with it’s under-whelming Burger King counterpart that does a ton of delivery business. For what it’s worth, most patron the Popeye’s side for obvious reasons. I’ve been here occasionally once every blue moon on my «cheat day» but from what I’ve experienced, the service here is marginally better than most other Popeye’s and that’s not saying much of anything. However, the food is as good as I’ve had for this chain; whether it be dine-in or takeout– they serve their purpose. There is abundant seating at ground level. During lunch hours typically the upper floor is open with additional seating. I’ve also not come across any problems with the order and they churn out orders quickly. They often have specials posted on the window outside so do pay attention. Your food baby will thank you for it!
