Quest Diagnostics

I was again lucky enough to be served by Jong-​Mi and again I am so very impressed with her. She is a great combination of very intelligent, very kind and amazingly efficient. And as everyone knows these are rare combinations in this city, or anywhere else for that matter.

The lab tech/​phlebotomist was quick, efficient and professional. Came here because the Quest in Bay Ridge is atrocious and I was not disappointed. I probably hit it at the right time but I was in and out in 15 minutes. Even if I had to wait, it was so efficient and professional it would have been worth it. Glad I took the train here.

I’ve had some terrible experiences with Quest before, but Jong-​Mi makes this their absolute best location. She is an asset and I hope Quest appreciates her.

Incredibly fast and professional. Had an 11am appointment, and was done and out the door in 25 minutes. Staff was incredibly friendly, and I barely felt a thing.

Waiting outside for ten minutes to get buzzed in, I tried to call but the number is an operative system so you can’t get through to anyone. Once in there’s a sign to write your name down, you basically just sit and wait there. There’s ONE PERSON working! She’s the one that suppose to answer the bell, take your insurance information, and also take your blood. The whole process took way longer than it should have. They should really hire someone to handle paper work and someone to just do the testing. It’s a little ridiculous to have your patients outside ringing a bell for ten minutes with no answer.

Great place to get blood work done. Went there on Saturday at 8 am-​was told by a staff member that early risers on Saturday have no line to wait on. Was greeted by Ja’minw, who was very personable, intelligent and knew what she was doing. She really cared about what she was doing and about the patients that she was working on. She did my blood test in about five minutes. Got the blood on her first attempt on my arm. Which was great for me as all other lab techs usually take about 20 minutes after jabbing my arms about a half dozen times to get the needed blood. Ja’min is a great asset to Quest Diagnostics, and early Saturday morning is the best time to go if you don’t want to mess up your work schedule. Oh, by the way, I used their bathroom and despite what other reviewers say, it was clean, and well kept.

Well, it was very easy to schedule an appointment here using their automated system but there is actually no option to speak to a live person since they seem to be saving money by having a machine answer their calls. Apparently I need to show up in person at my appointment in order to see whether they take my insurance. I recommend NY Methodist or any other bloodwork lab nearby instead
