I stopped by to get a quick mani in between classes as there was a wait at the next door nail salon. The Indian lady was such a sweetheart which is why I feel bad writing this but my fingertips are still in pain. My nails were uneven, some long, some short. I had to ask her twice to make them round and even because I don’t like square nails and were still uneven after she filed them. She used a new file on my nails, which would’ve been great if she hadn’t cut me with it from filing soooo hard! Granted, my skin was a bit dry from the winter cold but even so, I’ve NEVER gotten cut by a file in my 10yrs of getting manicures. While she was working on my cuticles, she was pressing down super hard at the root of my nails«trying to do a good job» that I thought she was going to rip my nails off. This was by far the most painful manicure ever! Lastly — sanitation. She kept using the same ½in. piece of paper towel to clean the desk ANNNDDD to clean my fingernails. So many things wrong with this manicure and to think she was teaching another girl while she was torturing my hands.

this place is a mess. i went there to have my laptop serviced and what do i see? a worker washing the mop in the pedicure tub!!! now i’m no professional but isn’t that a health/sanitary issue? the owner was rude and flat out disrespectful to a customer who was there. she has a nasty attitude a very reckless mouth and no people skills what so ever. i wasn’t even there for her services but i couldn’t sit by and let this go. my advice is as followed… avoid this place at all cost. find somewhere cleaner to get your nails done. u can not stress this enough. i’m actually surprised that this business had gotten some positive reviews. my opinion is this place needs to be shut down. i have half a mind to call the bbb myself. since Unilocal forces you to rate a place i give it one star and i feel that i’m being waaaayyyyyy to generous with that.

PLEASE, please DONOT go to this place for your eyebrows. The Indian lady who runs this place is rude and obnoxious. I would never have gone there if my usual eyebrow threading place(salon right at Willoughby and Jay street) or the one further down on Willoughby was open. Due to the holiday(July 4th) only this place was open and I REGRET I went there. She was very rough and harsh and bruised me while doing my eyebrows. I had red specs and above my right eyebrow, some of my skin was bruised — making it red and inflamed. I get my eyebrows done very often and have used this place a long time ago in the past. I understand that the skin can get irritated and inflamed, but this was bad. From other reviews, I learn that her name is «Rajshahi». While threading my eyebrows, she asked me what happened to my skin and I had no clue what she was talking about. After she finished threading, I saw what she was referring to and told her it wasn’t like this when I got there. I couldn’t believe her audacity — she refused it happened while she threaded my eyebrows! She made me show my eyebrows — or rather brought attention to it by asking the other African American women in the store to touch and see if this was something that could have just happened. I was totally enraged. I paid her what she asked for and then before leaving some people were walking in and I said aloud«please don’t get your eyebrows done here!» Of course, they turned around and I sincerely hope you readers do the same. I believe I’m a reasonable person and such things happen with eyebrows, but I couldn’t get over the fact that she didn’t admit to it and didn’t apologize. Absolutely no customer care. I’ve seen her treat her staff before in a very degrading manner and that’s the reason why I stopped going there. I will never go back again.

I have been getting my eyebrows done for some years now and have always been completely satisfied by the precision and care in Rakhi’s technique. I highly recommend the eyebrow services there and you can’t go wrong for only $ 5.00.

Rajshahi is great! You get exactly what you want. Beautiful natural looking lashes for a great price. I come every two weeks.

I stopped by this place to ask whether they did eyebrows by razor. I was told that they only do waxing and threading. Due to past bad experiences with both waxing and threading, I said no thanks. However, the lady was very convincing that it would not hurt and that she would do a good job, AND it was ONLY $ 5. So, I got csuckered into getting them done. Let me start off by saying that, YES… it did hurt(…like hell), but the end result was AMAZING. It had been a long time since me eyebrows looked that clean and precise. I guess beauty is pain huh? They also do hair and nails which I hope they do as good as their eyebrows. If so, this will be my one stop shop for all my beauty needs. *Here’s hoping*

No! No! No! The rat running across the room should have been a red flag but they reeled me in as I tried to make a polite exit. The nail polishes looked very cheap, old, and watered down with nail polish remover. My nail technician had to apply 4 coats in order to get decent coverage and I swear she was using a modified power drill to buffer and remove my cuticles… crazy. $ 25 down the drain and an hour and a half that I cant get back. Please do not waste your time and energy. The place is disgustingly filthy and you might as well be in a back alley letting a vagabond do your nails.
