I always order from here for delivery and it was my first time coming in person. Davon aka dj was super friendly and accommodating and greeted me with a warm and genuine smile.
I asked him tons of questions and he helped me understand what everything is and was super nice about it.
The food here is amazing and authentic, I am Jamaican so I know real Jamaican food.
Definitely would recommend this place to everyone I know, I love it here

So disappointed!!! My second time here. 1^st time wasn’t so good. Not so bad, but not good. The lady who served me was sweet as can be! The rice and peas with curry gravy was delicious! I did not come here for the rice and peas. I came for the jerk chicken. NOT GOOD! 3 very small, dried up pieces of flavorful shoe leather! Why would you serve me this? I was nice and polite! No one deserves to pay almost $ 9 for such a terrible meal. Popeye’s down the block does better at a cheaper price! From now on I order from Soldier Jerk! They never let me down!

I was waiting for a caribbean restaurant to open in my area. I must say nice spot, nice workers & the food tasted good. I really do hope it stays like that. Oh not to mention nice eye candy working there.

Food was pretty good, I loved the oxtails! I will definitely be going back. The staff was friendly, very helpful and was able to sample the sauce just to make sure things weren’t too spicy. I recommend this place to anyone.

Worked all day and didn’t want to cook, came home super hungry, ordered from here to get some good food, I’ve tried it a few times and it was tasty BUT do not get delivery. I ordered at 8:47pm and it’s 10:20 and still haven’t received my food. I’m not waiting around for cold food so I’m out on a scavenger hunt to get something else to eat before I pass out. So much for a decent meal after a long work day, I could have cooked 4 meals by now. #beastmode Ate a slice of pizza smh and received a call that my food was outside at 10:33pm.

Don’t get the jerk chicken sandwich unless you like your sandwiches made out of mayonnaise.

#Delicious Oxtail Stew. I sucked the bones so hard.
I went up to the counter and grabbed what I thought was some kind of #scotch bonnet pepper sauce, but it turned out to be French dressing. But there is a #green hot sauce.

Great place for a hearty meal. I love that they provide a variety of sizes to pick from. I have visited twice. The first dish I tried was the curry chicken since they were out of the oxtails. The curry was good but I was not used to the sticky coconut rice but it was good as well. On my next visit I finally was able to try the oxtails, I wasn’t very impressed. They were too tough, I like mine tender and falling off the bone. Maybe they were rushing that day idk. I will definitely try again in a couple of months after I get my beach body back.

So I went to this place a week ago and tried a small Oxtail & the Jerk chicken and it was awesome.
My only problem is I went there today and got a large Oxtail and the girl gave me literally the same as the small with double the rice and no plantains– I was PISSED when I got home and ate 3 pieces of Oxtail and was left with a huge thing of rice:(
I hope they see this and fix that– but trust next time I go in Ill closely watch whoever is serving me and ask them to give me a decent amount of Oxtail for $ 14 (its $ 10 but NY Tax is crazy lol).
Other than the girl who doesnt know how to make a plate I LOVE the food and will def be back.

Delicious new spot! The Jerk Chicken Sandwich is the tastiest thing Broadway has to offer currently. If your tastebuds are looking for a vacation to the Caribbean away from the 1 star Chinese and pizza joints, this is the spot for you.

My son loves their stew chicken. When I first tried the food, they had coconut rice but now they only serve white rice. I would like to have that rice again if possible. Prices are reasonable.

I have never had a veggie patty till now. Hope to have others… Coco bread was delish… And food smelled great!

Awesome spot in Bushwick. Food is delicious and the staff is really friendly and pleasant. My favorites are the Oxtail stew and the chicken in brown sauce. The beef patty is good too.
I come in here at least once a week, definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

Update: I eat from this place about 3 times a week. The workers even know me by name lol!
I absolutely love this place and I love everyone that works there. They’re so kind and patient. I love eating from the place. The jerk chicken and ox tails are my favorite. I’d recommend this place to any and every one who wants real authentic food.

Recent opening in Bushwick. The food is wonderful, best Jamaican food in Bushwick! So clean, good atmosphere, great people!

I saw these Flyers and definitely wanted to try it. I went into the store and the ambiance and décor was beautiful. I was very exited to eat from here, from what I read on Unilocal.However I was highly disappointed. I ordered Jerk Chicken with rice and peas I asked for no plantains and no salad. My friend order Oxtails with rice and peas as well with no plantains and no salad.
We definitely received our meal with plantains and salad. But that wasn’t even the issue. The rice and peas taste like soggy and mussy white rice with peas, which just turned me off and the jerk chicken was little pieces of winglets with really good tasting Jerk sauce. There was hardly any meat that was on the Oxtails and the same issue with the rice. We ate it cause we were hungry but we will definitely not going back.

Thank you for responding and clarifying the issue… now that I know it was a training issue and after I have eaten the food… I must say the brown stew chicken was very tasty, the rice was nice and moist… I will visit you again in the future!

I previously visited this restaurant in my neighborhood. I thought it was very nice to have a Caribbean restaurant other than Italian Hispanic and Mexican so I gave it a SHOT! I ordered a med oxtails with white rice and gravy The oxtails wasn’t bad it’s just that it had a little bit too much fat, It needed a Lil more trimmed of fat off, the white rice was a little dry even though the gentleman that served me put gravy on it, as I requested but I guess I should have requested a lil bit more. I saw s few different choices but; one I didn’t see was ROTIS’ :(maybe that has to be a special request or maybe its not served there due to being a small place. The place has take out and a
small sitting area but other than that it’s not so bad .It’s just refreshering to have a difference in variety of restaurants. The staff is respectful and helpful and the prices aren’t too bad either. I welcome this restaurant in my neighborhood and everyone else to give it a try !!!

Well, I oredered a mini, jerk chicken w/​rice. I was a bit saddened because I’m looking at all the pictures on Unilocal and whereva. No plantains and no dressing in my lettuce. The taste was nice. The rice was a bit dry but just a bit. Regardless… you all still the new and different restaurant. Please get the roti going. I’m a fan.
