Remsen Hall

Attended another event here and noticed that there are two different halls each separated by a wall and both have its own entrance. This side was so much better, appears to be a bit smaller but the overall look of the space is 100% better. The floor looked clean and well maintained, the walls looks freshly painted. As part of the overall décor the walls had large glass fixtures on them. Gone were the water stains in the ceiling and the bathroom look so much better than the one on the other side. There is an area that can serve as a bar or a serving station for food depending on the type of event. My only complaint is that parking in the area is near impossible to find. I drove around for 30 minutes trying to find parking close by. When I did find parking it was ⁴⁄₅ blocks away. ⁴⁄₅ blocks is not a big deal on a regular day but not my idea of fun when it’s cold as hell outside and you are wearing 6 inch heels.

I recently catered an event here and I would advise no one to ever rent this place. First of all when I pulled up to unload my van, I see a guy smoking a black and mild in front of the place not knowing he was one of the managers –_​-​. Then when I finally get inside the place is soooo filthy. It seems they have never cleaned the bathroom since it reeked of urine and the floor was black. The kitchen which so disgusting and taken over by flies and gnats. The floors also were so nasty and black that I didn’t even want to walk on them. The rude manager turned on the fridge when we arrived. So we had to wait for the fridge to get cold to put anything in. They also did not turn on the AC until the guest arrived. The staff is so extremely rude and lazy. I felt bad for the sweet woman who rented the place for her husbands repass because this place has not been cleaned since it opened clearly! Do not rent this place!

Great Space! My siblings and I had my mother’s 50^th surprise birthday party and the staff was great and very flexible with the payments. They only provide tables and chairs and speakers but that wasnt a problem for us. When it was time to clean it took us a bit longer but they were understanding and didn’t charge us extra. We had the space from 6 to 1am and they open the doors 2 hours earlier for you to set up which is included in the price
Would DEFINETLY use this space again.

The term «bashment vibes» is a Caribbean colloquialism that means «one helluva party» (pronounced: «one elluva pah-​ty»). It generally indicates that a party is going to be very-​well attended (read: crowded as hell) and scored by gyration-​inspiring reggae/​calypso tunes. Unlike Bar/​Bat Mitzvahs, bashments are not necessarily tied to any particular occasion — any reason to get folks together will do. That day we gathered in all our bashment glory to celebrate a wee likkle one on de way (translation: baby shower).
There were easily over 100 people gathered and the space was very accommodating of both the massive number of guests and the absurd showing of love via consumerism (read: abundance of gifts). White walls lined with mirrors and wooden floors offer a clean canvas for you DIY party decorators. Tables and chairs (white) are available for seating. Security was on point — present though not aggressive and friendly,
The biggest hurdle for Remsen Hall is likely its location. It sits in a pretty residential area and parking can be a bit of a challenge. However, if you’re looking for a bargain event space, I recommend looking here, as I was told the rental fee was more than reasonable and they allow up to two hours of prep for decorating.

This is decent spot to rent out for private parties and events. I was here sometime to attend one of my friends birthday party. They had rented out the entire space for the party. The place is big enough to accomodate a lot of people, they also allow people to arrange and serve thier own and food drinks which is really cool.
The staff of this place is helpful and accomodating.
