Retro Grill

Ordered wings and they are apparently for babies or something… The size of the wings are of a quarter or a nickel. Is this real food? Come on you charge $ 8 for wings and they small tiny and mostly bone?
Even the burgers are bad.
Not never order again.

I order from here through the GetKosher app sometimes, when I’m wishing for something different. It’s good food, if you know what to order. The onion rings and french fries are terrible. They’re frozen, and I think that’s a shame. At least if they offered spicy fries or steak cut frozen fries, it would be an improvement over the frozen shoestring potatoes currently being sold. The burgers are good, and the place definitely caters to the Syrian Middle Eastern tastes of the Mizrachim who live in the area (the place advertises itself as selling beit yosef meat, which is super-​pure meat free of any lung adhesions or blemishes, and is a strict standard of kosher meat which Sephardim hold by). The burgers have a Middle Eastern taste of cumin and other spices added to the meat to accommodate the Levantine palate. The corn dog is actually pretty good and reasonably priced, and the brisket is very tender, although there is an overwhelming taste of celery/​celery seed that overpowers the meat. The crunchy chicken fingers are amazing, and the sauces are the main draw of the place, in my opinion. The double burger for $ 15 is also an incredible value. One of those and some crunchy chicken with a load of sauces is a great kosher meal, in my opinion. It’d make a good hangover cure meal, but nice Jewish boys (or girls) aren’t supposed to do that, lol.

This place is KOSHER, when you benchmark please use the other kosher restaurants in the area. That being said, this place is just overall what I would expect from the BEST IN CLASS. The food is well crafted and delicious! The service is excellent, and the ordering process on their app is just as efficient as ordering on seamless, maybe even a bit better. They clearly put care into preparing the orders as they are ALWAYS correct!

Well hello there Retro Grill… so nice to meet you.
This place has a cool hip vibe, with all these retro signs & posters. It’s a small place, yet it pumps out some delicious burgers! This place is Halal/​Kosher (you know you’re gonna pay for that) so don’t expect to get a cheeseburger. But, I must say the Retro Burger was juicy & hot! This place has an open kitchen so you can actually see & hear them cooking (does get a little noisy in here though). As I’m sitting & feasting on my burger — the phone to this place is ringing off the hook, people are ordering the brisket like crazy… in one conversation the cashier had to call someone back to tell them they ran out of brisket– I guess its that good. I will be back to try that.
This place got a few remarks about the people at the counter — yeah, the one guy I delay with was Kurt & short but I’m not here to make friends– here to eat! Haha. Enjoy people!

Absolutely disgusting. It’s a bunch of young, snooty kids working there. There joint is disgusting, dark and creepy. Their fries are horrible burger sucked and chicken fingers were fair. Please do yourself a favor? Don’t go…

I haven’t had fast food in a while but tonight we ordered in retro grill (Brooklyn) and I am so happy we did. Delivery was quick about half hour-​40 min. The food arrived hot and was so so good. I got the pastrami burger that was juicy and bun was nice it held up. It was also very large so you’re def getting your money’s worth. We also ordered crunchy chicken fingers which were amazing. So crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. I had them with the bbq sauce and garlic mayo which were both on point. Great dinner and money well spent, I definitely recommend retro grill.

We either go to, or order from Retro Grill maybe 3 times a year. This place is excellent. I’ve never Unilocaled them and was surprised to see a few poor ratings. While i’m sure everyplace has their off nights, i’d argue that they are grossly mistaken in low ratings. Retro Grill is excellent. Wide variety of foods and I find the prices to be very fair, especially the all day combo of burger, fries, soda for $ 13, i mean, how much lower could they go.
Burgers are always cooked very nicely, juicy and stacked with your choice of fixins. Sauces are also delicious and can come on burger or on the side. Burgers are HUGE too but no sacrifice in taste. Special note to the burger salad which includes a chopped up burger on top, somehow they manage to keep that meet extra juicy as well.
On to sides/apps…The freshly dipped corn dog is not to be missed, batter is amazing and just super fun to eat. Onion rings are good but not my favorite item (though we always seem to order them). Fries are also nice and crispy, with some texture to them.
Anecdotal note, we ordered delivery and they forgot the fries. To remedy, they made a special trip over right away, before we’d finished eating (we’re about 10 min drive away to begin with), and they were piping hot.
Retro does an excellent job with their food, service is friendly both in person and on the phone.

I was disappointed with the customer service and the food. Over priced for a single paddy with fires. Paid $ 15, not worth it. The fries were hard & tasteless, the burger was under cooked and had some very unpleasant sauce on it, I was surprised I didn’t get cheese because I asked for it. The customer service was even worse… I was ignored for a while and when I finally did order he was very annoyed for some reason.

I made an order by this place the service terrible I waited an hour and 30 min for my food then the delivery man didn’t have change so I hade to wait another hour I called twice for my sauce and he didn’t arrive with it and then he tells me I’m not bringing it when it’s his fault and my food came cold

I’m sorry, I don’t know why some of the folks were beating these guys up. Sure it’s a little pricy but everything’s fresh, the burgers are fantastic, well seasoned, great buns. I didn’t have the fries which seem to be a point of contention for some but the burgers and chicken salad were absolutely fantastic.
Comparisons to McDonalds? Are you kidding??? It’s not like a McDonald’s meal is all that cheap these days anyway, it’s over $ 8 bucks with tax. I’d rather pay a little more for quality than slightly less for processed garbage that’s artificially flavored and fossilized like a dinosaur bone.
On the universally recognized scale of burger goodness, McDonalds and a frozen patty being at the very bottom, a Diner somewhere in the middle, and a specialty joint somewhere up top… this place is much closer to the top then bottom. Let’s stop being so critical, it’s just a burger! Enjoy!

I ordered here a few times via grub hub and they are pretty good. delivery was normal and the food hit the spot! I would recommend this place for a kosher meat place… no complaints…

Ordered from Grubhub today. Tired of the same old Chinese/​Sushi places I’ve been ordering for months.
Wanted a good burger, and got an okay yet overly expensive burger. Way too overpriced for the size and general quality of the burger. Burger skimped on the meat, but it was an okay tasting burger. (3.5 of 5 stars quality)
Fries Sucked. Corn Dog sucked… just slightly less so (expensive for what it is…$ 3 for a crappy corn dog?). Fries looked unappetizing, and tasted even worse. Didn’t even finish them, and was so compelled at how bad they were, that I decided to write the review. Dry, burnt and tasted like burnt, old grease.
Overly expensive for a burger and fry joint. Crappy food. You can be one to get my service, but not both. Only real good quality was pretty quick delivery. About 25 minutes for delivery. Won’t ever order again though.

Will never order again… really bad fries… horrible quality. .very arrogant manager… stubborn and disrespectful. Will alert my entite building to stay away from this place

Great food and quick delivery. Well worth the price too! The chicken guacamole wrap was delicious and the crunchy chicken was excellent! I recommend having it with the spicy Asian glaze

Just ordered for the first time. I ordered the Jalapeño Burger and fries. While everything was packaged and wrapped very neatly it arrived a bit cold and I was hesitant about the taste. I did use my oven to heat it up about 10 minutes then all was fine. The burger was really delicious and tasted exactly like what I was craving for today. Will order again from here. Definitely makes me want to try a few other items that caught my eye.

Their guacamole chicken wrap was good but I wasn’t impressed with the burger. I would definitely order the guacamole chicken wrap again.

Had the retro burger, paid $ 12, just for the burger, nothing special, not even that big, for $ 12 you could do a lot better elsewhere.

I’ll let you in on a secret. Their «beef hamburgers» are half breadcrumb. The fries are disgusting and so is anything they have chicken wise. It’s so disappointing that we have decided that we prefer McDonalds food over theirs. What kind of restaurant skimps on ground beef. Hello?! It’s not that expensive. When someone opens a restaurant they should actually know something about food.
I would like to add that they refuse to add cheese to their burgers. I understand that they don’t prefer to eat their food like this, but DISCRIMINATING against those that do, is unacceptable. It’s 2015 people. Get your head out of your keister.

The best kosher steak salad in Brooklyn! Absolutely love the taste of it. Delicious and made fresh and yummy in my tummy! Also a very fast delivery service.

Clean and quick service, I would go back, have to lower the prices in order to get the 5^th star
