Enjoyable tacos from a no-frills joint. The chorizo tacos are yummy, one of my favorites here. And all of them are served on sort tortillas which are easy to chomp down into. But for $ 7.50 for 3 from a literal hole in the wall, I expect a handful of chips and guac. That is one simple & inexpensive thing they could improve on. And the odder thing was that you must order at least 2 of the same kind of taco; you cannot order 3 unique tacos at once, very strange.

Wow the Azteca burrito I think is the freshest best one I’ve ever had and ive had a lot of Mexican in my life. You are in a little corner store so don’t expect 1% of atmosphere. Either fork and knife it at the counter near the back of the store or take it to go. Excellent homemade hot sauce.

Their grilled chicken tacos and their cecina tacos are the bomb– unparalleled in the neighborhood(or, perhaps, anywhere in NYC). Their Reyes salad with any of the grilled meats is also amazing AND an amazing value. I love both their green and red salsas. And they stay open LATE, which is really nice for those nights when you’ve been out. They make everything fresh, so sometimes the wait is long — but it is well worth it.

Five stars is what these folks deserve. Why? Because they have built the perfect establishment for NYC-dwellers. Wanna get some tacos /tortas for your weeknight dinner party? Wanna rock a burrito late-night when you get home from the gig? Need some beer? egg sandwiches? Aluminum foil? Make sure to grab a couple tamales on the weekend!

So I was almost about to drop dead from hungry, but realized that Reyes was literally down the street from me. I saw on Unilocal that their tacos are really good so I figured I’d give it a shot. When you walk in, it does look like a mexican grocery store, but walk to the back and to the right you’ll see seats and the menu hanging above. Just tell them what you want and then you pay up front. I ordered to caritas tacos. They do take a little while to make up, but I’m thinking it’s cuz they make everything fresh. While waiting, I made a round and looked at the products they sell. If you want mexican snacks, come here. They have sooo many variations of takis for all you takis lovers! Coming from California and having my fair share of tacos, I wouldn’t say these are the best damn tacos in my life, but they are pretty darn good. The tortilla was actually realllly good. It had a slightly crisp texture to it, which I haven’t really seen. It’s not the typical soft tacos you get. I did use the hot sauce and it has a pretty good kick to it!

I have been here a handful of times, and this place never disappoints. The CARNEASADATACO is my number one favorite item on the menu. The meat here is tender and very tasty. Definitely ask for the red and the green sauces and sour cream. If you are not in the mood for a taco, there are other options on the menu like a burrito or quesadilla. There is a small little section of the market where you can sit and eat. If you are are in a rush, you can make pickup phone orders as well. 5 stars! Viva Reyes Tacos!

Was in the area and saw Reyes deli offers burritos. That piqued my interest since every Mexican option in NYC tends to end up in the form of a taco. I was happily surprised to find not only did they have burritos, but they also serve carne asada. As an L.A. boy forever searching for carne asadain New York, this was a RARE discovery. Went for the Azteca burrito(beans, rice, avocado, pico de gallo) with carne asada. It did not disappoint. The grill dude cooked the meat to order and presented a pillow like burrito. No steaming of the flour tortilla(that’s crap only Chipotle does), everything right of the grill. Taste was on point. Had me sweating mid way through with the green chile they had chopped up in the Pico de gallo. Loved every bite. GF had the chorizo track and loved it as well. Must have tacos and burritos. I will be back!

In Manhattan you will never see Reyes. The buildings are just too f***ing tall for reals. The reyes of the sun are blocked out by towering infernos. Only without the infernos. Hopefully. Let me be concise for once. The Reyes Deli has absolutely delicious incredible heavenly Asada tacos. They’re my faves in Brooklyn and some of the best in the city. It’s really just a little unassuming Bodega, rather than a restaurant. Stop by here and try them. Last time I was here was early 2015 on one of my NYC food tours. I’ve been on like 10 of them and these are some of the best tacos I’ve found in the city. Make sure you get both types of salsa with your tacos so you can make them nice and moist(that’s the way I like it). If you prefer yours dry then ignore me. NYC tacos aren’t necessarily the best in the world on average, but these babies stand up to the good ones in other parts of the country. Obviously the owners were Reyesed right. But don’t run there nor speed in your car. Walk. It’s not a reyce.

This place is AMAZING! My friend went here and couldn’t stop raving about it so my husband and I had to try it for ourselves. We ordered a cheese quesadilla with avocado to share and I got veggie tacos and he got beef tacos. The flavors are unbelievable. Each item comes with two sauces: a red and green sauce. Both are delicious and unique. The tacos are simple but the flavor is all there. Only fresh ingredients are used. Everyone should try this gem in Park Slope.

So, I’ve lived in the vicinity of this joint for about 8 years now. Not sure if they have been there for that entire time, but I’ve been aware of them for about that time. Whatever, I just wished I had always known they made the most delicious tacos and tortas in Park Slope/Gowanus. Now I do. Their torta is loaded with your meat of choice,(mine is chorizo), beans, tomato, cheese, jalapeño, and awsomeness. But do yourself a favor and put some of their salsa verde on that big boi! Tacos are great… had em’ all. So do yourself a favor and stop by and get some fine Mexican food and enjoi! And one question for you, «Donde esta Reyes Deli?» Nailed it

A GEM in Brooklyn!!! My sister and I being from San Diego, CA are Mexican food snobs! In search of authentic Mexican food, we found Reyes Deli in a local bodega. NOTONLY did they pass our authenticity test but brought us a piece of California right in the heart of Brooklyn. Best tacos in Brooklyn! I ordered beef tacos(carne asada) with cilantro, onions, avacado and salsa verde. TRY It!

Still my favorite tacos and now also the Torta con Carnitas! Must-try. Super delicious. The owner is a very kind man and I like to go there, it’s a simple place but honest and the food is really impressive.

Good tacos. The tacos are a pretty good size and has good amount of onions and cilantro. The carnitas is juicy but a little less flavor than I’m used to. They had about four taco options. About four stools to sit and enjoy.

This is a bodega. Unremarkable at first glance, but inside lies some of the most unexpectedly delicious Mexican cuisine around. You might not be observant enough to pick up on all the little clues, but I read some Encyclopedia Brown books as a kid, and I saw them all: The huge bin of jalapeños off to the side. The bunch of fresh cilantro slung over the counter. The menu of Mexican food. The glowing Unilocal reviews about their excellent Mexican food. I’m not sure what, but something told me I would enjoy their tacos. And I do. I also love their carnitas torta. Piled high with juicy pork, it was a very, very good sandwich on its own. With a ladleful of the homemade hot sauce they keep behind the counter? It was perfection. Oh, and perfection in the South Slope costs only $ 7, with a bottle of Poland Spring.
