Anetta is my home girl. But really. DOC is great and all, but I go out of my way to come here whenever possible. Great selection, savvy prices, and outstanding service. They have a rewards program that is fantastic for winos. Anetta is outstanding. Her recommendations are legit, and she’s like a walking liquor/wine bible.

Great selection & prices but they have weird hours! Some days they are open during the hours posted and some days they aren’t.

Large retailer that is half liquor and half wine. This place is remarkable for its competitive prices and convenient location just a few blocks away from the JMZ at Marcy Ave on the South Side of Williamsburg. The staff is knowledgeable and is happy to help and make recommendations(even offering the occasional sample). The only negatives are that the credit card minimum is $ 30 and I guess there’s slightly less sophistication in the décor and ambiance than you’d see in the Northside of Williamsburg, but I think the savings more than compensate for that aspect. Besides, they do carry their fair share of more artisanal and small batch spirits, as far as I can tell.

Okay shop. You can never predict when they’ll be open. And they don’t take credit cards. As an alternative, there’s the kosher shop one block over, Lchaim. Kosher wines are different from those you might be used to, but if you’re looking for any scotch, bourbon, or vodka — it’s all there.

How can their be only six reviews about Primo and Roebling Liquors? 1) Shall we start with the beautiful classic neon sign? It makes me happy every time i pass it. Walk south on Roebling from Broadway and look for the sign and the triple parked cars. 2) Its been open forever, and the whole neighborhood shops here. Its a friendly place, a southside place, affordable for regular booze, good wine if you know what you”re looking for, and well, for bubbles you should go somewhere different, but they are perfect for everything else. Yay Roebling!

This place is a bit of an adventure. It looks like nothing special but the wine inventory changes often and I have discovered a number of reasonable, good tasting gems here. The owners are very knowledgeable and have made recommendations based on my preferences. They have never steered me wrong.

Great selection and Best prices. Clean environment. There is no bullet proof glass your free to walk around a pick your choices. The staff are friendly and give good advice when it comes to pairing what drinks with food choices or making a new cocktail. If you don’t see what your looking for just ask someone they carry everything.

Hopping off the B44 bus at Roebling and Broadway to hit up my friend’s dinner party, my BF and I planned to pick up booze at D.O.C. Knowing the bourbon there is way overpriced, we popped into the«hey we’ve never noticed this place before» Roebling Liquors just to check prices. Expecting bulletproof glass embedded under years of neglected grime, we instead walked into a bright and clean boozy lala land! Prancing through the isles of every wine and liquor we could dream of, we danced out of there with a $ 40 bottle of Basil Hayden(a good $ 10 less then near by shops) and 2 $ 5 bottles of getting drunk wine. An excellent discovery! Xmas 2009 Update — and they carry St Germain($ 30)! Now I can get my girlishness on at home! Winter 2010 Update — They have Marques de Caceres Rioja for $ 11! Only Trader Joe’s still charges such a reasonable price for my «house wine»

They have a decent selection of hard liquor and a good amount of wine. My only qualm is that they don’t seem to know too much about the wine they sell. If you know what you’re looking for, you’ll be in decent shape. The prices are pretty good, definitely better than Manhattan prices. No, they aren’t closed for good, but they are closed on Sundays.

Absolutely the best prices in NYC! Great wine selection, at almost wholesale prices. No bullet-proof glass. This liquor shop has been here for decades…
