Beware ! Violent food poisoning! I came to eat a med rare roast beef sandwich with fried wing. It wasn’t even an hour later, I was defecated in my pants twice(couldn’t hold it) and violently throwing up. Stay away !

This place has been here forever. This is the best late night munchies spot in Brooklyn. You come here at 1 am on the weekend and see fellow intoxicated individuals going to get their late lunch cravings satisfied!

The food here is good but I have to say they lose stars because it’s pretty annoying when you call twenty times to place a pick up order and no one picks up the phone. When you then proceed to drive there it’s empty so I don’t understand why they couldn’t pick up the phone.

I am always craving their roast beef sandwich! Get it with the grilled onions. I also love their lemonade and orangeade and their mozzarella sticks and their cheese fries and their apple pie… I love EVERYTHING. This place is cheap, stays open late, and has large amounts of seating. Very quick service. You also get to spin a wheel on your birthday to win food. Can’t get much better than this for comfort food.

Roll-N-Roaster is a nostalgic spot for anyone from Brooklyn and, by fast food standards, it’s cream of the crop. I enjoyed it as a kid and I enjoy it as an adult; it’s like a time capsule with food and décor that hasn’t changed since it first opened a million and one years ago. In a sea of what is now primarily Russian restaurants and clubs, Roll-N-Roaster provides a sense of familiarity and feel of old school South Brooklyn. They have a parking lot, which is a huge bonus for a busy area like Emmons Ave. They also have two massive dining areas, so it’s never difficult to find a seat no matter how busy it is. Their burgers are a little undercooked for my taste, but are still tasty. I love their cheese fries and their lemonade is the best I’ve ever tasted. Go on your birthday and you can experience the excitement of spinning the birthday wheel. When I was in my party years, I came here frequently. Nothing like Roll-N-Roaster after a night at the bar or to cure a hangover the next day. Now that I’m a boring adult, I still like to come here occasionally for lunch.

I love going to Roll-N-Roaster! The food never lets me down. I always order one of two things. Either the Cheeseburger or the Roast Beef And Cheese. Both are always cooked so well. The onion rings are out of this world and the fries are like heroin! Especially when you get the cheese on the side for dipping! The other thing I think is awesome and fun is the Birthday Wheel that they have. If you go in to eat on your birthday, Bring your I. D! If you can prove it’s your birthday, You can spin the huge wheel and win a prize. Anything from free food, To a T-Shirt and money! Who doesn’t like money? It is a huge place right across the street from Sheepshead Bay. Depending on where you sit, You can have a really nice view of the water! If you live in New York and have never been or are just visiting, You should definitely make it a point to stop by Roll-N-Roaster and have yourself a meal! You won’t be disappointed. I’m sure that anything you order will come out tasting amazing.

Native Brooklynites and Sheepshead Bay residents should thank their lucky stars Roll-N-Roaster is around. It’s one of the few windows into the past when Sheepshead was actually a cool place to hang out, well before it morphed into a flashy, gross Eastern-Eurotrash wet dream. It’s fast food, but damn, is it fantastic fast food. The cheeseburgers(probably the weakest of their strong points, but still well above just OK), cheese fries, roast beef(!!), baked sweet potatoes, tater tots, CORNFRITTERS… I can go on, it’s all so SO great. It’ll make you fat. Real fat. So that’s the downside. The line gets very packed out during peak hours, but it’s always moving. Keep it up until the end of time, please.

I’ve come here often enough but never have I come on my birthday to spin the birthday wheel. Bummer.($ 5-$ 25 gift coin for the spin) Décor has like been unchanged for decades here. But if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. It’s cool to get the 1970s vibe every time you visit. Roast Beef Sandwich $ 5.95 — I had this medium rare with«CHEEZ» and gravy. The roast beef is thinly sliced and piled into a freshly baked bun. Hands down the best roast beef sandwich in Brooklyn. If CHEEZ on the sandwich isn’t enough for you, you can always overdose with a side of CHEEZ($ 1). Chicken Wings $ 7.95 — I absolutely love the wings here. I credit it’s crispy skin and tender meat, delicious hot sauce, and the large portion size. This may delay your order as they take time deep frying the wings. Corn Fritters $ 3.95 — Decent filler if I’m not opting in for the CHEEZ fries. Creamy corn and cheese inside, with a crispy nugget skin on the outside. Lemonade $ 2.95 — Great for summer, refreshing, and sweet. Order over $ 35 get a free 12″ pizza. Oh yea, they sell cheap beer. not many fast food joints do this anymore.

Meh — Don’t know what the hype is about for this place. Everyone who lives in BK swears by this. I guess if you’re a roast beef fan, you should definitely check it out. I wasn’t really that thrilled to be honest, but I wouldn’t call myself a roast beef connoisseur. I got the original Roll-n-Roaster Beef(Medium) and it came to me on soggy wet bread. I HATE soggy bread. Also got a side order of Corn Fritters and Sweet Potato Fries. The Sweet potato fries were cold and soggy as well. The Corn Fritters were OK, but not enough corn in my opinion but it was the best dish. I’ll probably just stick to my local Deli for a roast beef sandwich if I’m ever in the mood.

I never eat fast food, but I’ll make an exception for rnr any day. The cheese fries, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks are very good. I’ll generally choose the sweetened iced tea over the lemonade but both are good options.

This place really hits the spot when you need it to. When it comes to fast food this has to be the best. The roast beef is always consistent and yummy. The chicken tenders with sweet and sour sauce is my favorite thing here. The ice tea is highly addictive! If you’ve never had the corn fritters they’re a must have! The mozzarella sticks are always good especially while hot. I’m glad this place is so close to where I live I don’t know what I would do without it!

So like — It’s all about the hype on this place(the same thing when shake shack appeared on the planet) The only difference is – this isn’t a chain and food is fantastic. The interior has a late 70’s look and the menu is stocked with a bunch of food. Like what don’t they have? Yes there are a million reviews for this place talking about how great the food is and it is — just don’t come with high expectations. I kept hearing how amazing this place was and after visiting it was like another diner to me. This is just me being real. Foods great — Below $ 10 prices, good service and not owned by a big company and thaaaats what makes Roll-n-Roaster great. Cat approved Oh but what’s with that fried cream corn?

Bumping this to 4 stars for 2 reasons. Not because their food«knocked my socks off», but because they are very reasonably priced AND they offer a bike rack, right outside. In this bike rack desert, it was a welcome sight, that made my choice to eat there easier. Funny how that works in the 21st century. I also really like the varied menu, and reasonable prices. Beef, chicken, shakes, wine… with a claim that their roles get stale because they don’t include any preservatives. Well, I’d still like to get there on a day they pop out super-fresh. Overall a good show. Also, I did notice at least 2 people return their food for additional cooking, so if you like it well done, make sure you specify and be prepared to wait for that little extra.

I love this place! All«fast food» places should be like this place! The ordering system works, you place your order quickly, they give you a receipt with a number, and you have a seat until your number is called, which is pretty fast, considering everything is made to order. I absolutely love there rolls, which are made fresh, the roast beef with cheese on that roll is incredible! The roast beef is perfectly cooked, and nice & red, just how I like it! The cheese is cheese wiz, so it basically drips out of the sandwich! The cheeseburger, also on a roll, is a hit! Also with the cheese wiz dripping out, the burger is thin, but enough to get you full. The fries are little round & crispy Onion rings are delicious, never soggy, always crispy, and nice and brown. My husband always gets the chicken wings which come with a spicy garlic sauce, I’ve never had them because I can’t eat anything spicy, but they must be good because he raves about them. The milkshakes are awesome, I’ve learned my lesson to stop ordering them because you will have to roll me out of roll-n-roaster lol The lemonade is delicious & fresh, very sweet, and a great summer drink. The staff is always Friendly, they always say please, even when calling your number«589 please» They still wear the same uniforms from when they first opened, super cute! And I love how they never really renovated the place! It still has the same charm as it had years ago. There is always seating, and believe me this place gets packed! But there’s always movement, even the parking lot is small, but we always get a spot because someone is always leaving. If you spend I believe, $ 37 you get a free pizza! Which is great!

MUST try their roast beef sandwich and orangeade! Their corn fritters are also amazing. I love this place. It’s open till late so it’s perfect for late night snacks/meals. It’s spacious so it’s good for big groups of people. You can even host birthday parties here. On your birthday, you can show the cashier your ID and you can spin the birthday wheel! You get a chance to win a $ 5, $ 10, $ 15, or $ 20 golden coin that can be used to purchase yourself another meal for that amount. However, the last time I went to spin the wheel, I had to purchase a minimum of $ 5 before I was able to spin the wheel. I did not mind and it made sense to me. FYI, if you like or don’t mind onions. add onions to your roast beef sandwich! It tastes even better: D

It’s time for the«Roast» of Roll-N-Roaster unfortunately. I’ve been writing a lot of reviews later. Like the beef at this place, I’m «on a roll.» However I won’t be «rolling» down to this place anytime soon. The service was nice, for sure. And the concept is great because I love roast beef and lemonade. But unfortunately the good points end there. The beef was honestly not even as good as Arby’s, and I’m not a huge Arby’s fan(I don’t like chains in general). It seems like it’s more of a legend than an actual delicious modern day product. If you put it up against the taste of places like Katz’s, Carnegie, or David Brisket in Brooklyn, then you will never want to even try this sandwich, really. And the lemonade could not have been more disappointing. I was thirsty as hell but I stuck with my water instead. It just didn’t do it for me, at all. Tasted fake and plastic. Which can be good, but not when it comes to food.
