DON’T BUYFROMHERE! They are devious and not an ounce of good customer service. I purchased a SpeedQueen washer/driver unit paying thousands of dollars. They said delivery/installation charges were included even though I further inquired that it’s a walk-up and yep, delivery/installation charges, he said are still included. When the delivery/installer(Carlos) arrived at my home, he announced it will cost me $ 120 cash to bring the unit in my apartment. I tried to call S&W Appliances to ask about the surprise charges that were supposed to be included, but at this point they stopped picking up my calls. While bringing up the unit, the guys broke my hallway light –took off a measly $ 20 from the delivery charges which I agreed. After installation, they said I can run the machine. I was excited to do so until it got to the spin cycle. The unit started banging and dancing in place. I called the installer to return but he refused to, saying I have to call S&W to get a new order to return to my home again. This was Friday at 4pm. S&W is close on Saturday. When I contacted SpeedQueen, they said, seems like shipping bolts are still attached. I emailed this to S&W and they couldn’t believe something this ‘basic’ was not done and tried to ignore me. I forwarded the SpeedQueen email explaining this. I also called S&W several times only to float around their phone system and not get hold of a human. Eventually, many days and emails later, they sent someone from Superior Repair to fix my dryer. What? Dryer? Who said anything about a dryer? They clearly were not paying attention to me. Needless-to-say, after many more calls and emails, the installer returned 12 days later to FINALLY remove the shipping bolts. There was a lot of hemming and hawing from the installer not wanting to return, but there they were the shipping bolts still attached in the back and front of the unit. «Basic» knowledge they simply didn’t have. I asked S&W to refund me the delivery charges that these guys duly don’t deserve. S&W said that I hired a third party to install, therefore they couldn’t help me. I hired? I didn’t hire, S&W hired him for me without prior consent! S&W Appliances are sneaky and dishonest. Not a place to drop your hard earned money. I purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and faucet from AJ Madison. They were TERRIFIC. They picked-up my calls, all charges were upfront, they worked with me with delivery and were reliable. I should’ve contacted them with this purchase, but I was swayed with S&W’s price. In hindsight, I should’ve negotiated with AJ Madison and they would’ve worked with me. I’ll never buy from S&W Appliances again and I will tell as many people that… By the way, Hershy, the sales guy who took my order, says«good luck» before he hangs up all the time. Wonder why?(Good luck dealing with them?)

Ordered new French door 29.2 Cu. Ft. LG Refrigerator. Got a slightly lower price than HD. Other stores had it on backorder. Rep in S&W appliances said that they have one in stock. Refrigerator arrived with a big dent on the side. Delivery truck driver kept changing the story First it was just dented when they took it from the truck to they got it already dented from the store. I called the store. Salesperson was pushy and tried to convince me to get a damaged refrigerator for an additional discount. They finally took refrigerator and agreed to refund the money. Not a kosher way to do business. Not dealing with that store again.

I purchased(3) items in January of this year(around $ 3000). We installed the oven and washer/dryer immediately, but did not try to install the microwave range hood until June. When we opened the box, we realized that the item had been damaged during transit. We contacted Shulem, our salesman. He told us to send pictures, but has been avoiding us since. I have emailed him over(5) times; if I call and the receptionist does not ask who I am, then I can sometimes get him on the phone, but he makes up an excuse about his«buyer» being unavailable. I fully recognize that we discovered this months after purchase and was never looking for a full refund. I just wanted to see if they could help me out with an exchange where I would pay a fee and be able to swap my unit for an undamaged one. Everything is with the original packaging and the damage is not something that would reasonably have happened by using it. Everything was fine as far as the original purchase, but I feel that S&W turned their back on me once I had an actual problem.

Buyer Beware: S&W AREEXPERTSCAMARTISTS. A little over 1 year ago I purchased 2 Friedrich thru-the-wall AC units from S&W. What got me to buy from them rather than a competitor was that they came with a 4-year extended warranty. The units were delivered the next day. When it came time to fill out and submit the paperwork to receive the extended warranties I called to ask where I could find the serial numbers. I was told they were on the box and to save those labels. I did so, submitted the paperwork, and received my warranties a few weeks later. Now, a little over year later, one of the units is not working(the power light comes on but the fan does not). When I called to set up an appointment for a repair I was asked for the serial number from the unit. It then became apparent that the serial number on the unit itself does not match what was on the box. I went in person to S&W and when I explained the situation and showed pictures of the serial number on the unit the salesperson/manager pointed out that the model number did not even match and that the unit looked as though it was a re-furbished unit. I was told that there was no proof that the unit in the picture was the same unit which I purchased from them and was also told«nothing I can do». So now, 1 year after purchase, I am left to pay for the repair of what was supposedly a new unit which supposedly came with a 4-year warranty. NICESCAMGUYS!!! David Levitt, Brooklyn NY

I have had exceptional service with S and W. My salesperson, Shulem was one of the best salespeople I have ever experienced. And I am 62, so I have met a few salespeople and I teach communication sales skills. When there was a problem, he immediately sought to remedy it. He was friendly, courteous and experienced. Great customer service.
