This place has really solid kosher meat. But as another reviewer said, you need to know what you’re going in for. If you keep kosher, then this is a great option in the neighborhood. But if you don’t, you’re going to overpay for meat and cuts that you probably aren’t familiar with. The prepared foods cater to a very specific taste. It’s overly sweet concoctions that many religious Jews favor but may not seem authentic to people used to the Katz’s Deli style of Jewish food. This is what Orthodox Jews really eat on Shabbos though so if you want to try Jewish food as it’s eaten today, this is it. My favorites are the livers l’kavod shabbos kodesh(they actually call it that), the dark meat chicken marinated in shwarma spices(you buy it raw and cook yourself at home) and the potato kugel that gets cooked overnight(as opposed to the regular potato kugel). You have to ask them at the counter for it and they don’t have it every day. This is the food I grew up eating so I love it in moderation(it’s not very healthy).

and yet another strange place in the heart of hassid town. They have an extensive pre-cooked warm food section. The selection varies from meatballs, baked chicken, to gefilte fish(I tried it, maybe one of the better gefiltes in the area). For some reason, the Hassids love putting sugar in everything. I mean EVERYTHING. I also tried the kuggel(a noodle cake). There was the sweet and not as sweet. I got the not as sweet. It was dark brown and seemed to have been made with BBQ sauce. Weird…
