I’ve been here a few times and have found it to be subpar to other Brooklyn bakeries. The pastries are not nearly as soft or fresh, yet it is priced equivalently. The selection of a la carte treats are significantly less than what is typical elsewhere.

Excellent egg challa!
Seriously like the best out there if you like the following, on the sweet side, very doughy. Like the opposite of fluffy, way opposite.
Nice cookies and stuff.
One quirk, for some reason they don’t put bread into a plastic bag. They give you a bag and put it all into a large paper bag. I don’t know y but it Drives me crazy.

I picked up a bunch of pareve desserts for New Year’s Eve because pareve is dairy-free and suitable for vegans. We had cherry-blueberry layer crumb cakes; vanilla, chocolate and cinnamon rugelach; and sugar-free jam-filled cookies. Everything was kinda dry and boring, and the cookies were particularly tasteless. However, the borekas remain delicious. So now I’m on the hunt for a better kosher pareve bakery in Brooklyn.

WOWZERS!!! This place’s doughnuts are out of this world. Lots of other items also, but the doughnuts were my favorite.
